Why would a university need a staff of 60 people, costing probably close to 5 million dollars, to do DEI? Maybe they need to forget DEI and concentrate on work ethics, competence, and ability. Spend the money on scholarships and reduce student debt.
DEI UGG what ever happen to judge in context of character NOT BY THE COLOR OF SKIN. I’m so sick of this. Im latino and I’m trying n the middle but I go by work ethic not by color. I have experienced racism from both sides and I’m a great worker

Let's say I want to share this video with someone who has a different political leaning. Do you think it will have as much credibility with obvious spelling errors in the title? Of course not!
Part of this is the GOP failure to message everything they do. With closing this diversity center, all they have to do is say, the millions it is spending on DEI employees who are engaging in discriminatory practices would be better spent on scholarships directly to students to lower their college costs. What’s hard in saying that? Ironically, my kid is supposed to be graduating with her MFA from that school next month but the graduations were broken down by the different school houses not the other identity stuff mentioned here. The students speaking here are naive and do not understand how the real world works. They were taught this bs and that is all they know. Meanwhile, I was so pissed when my child should have graduated last year but her college scheduled their final thesis/ MFA project for an August due date, after the May graduation date. I thought that was a money grab by extending their course requirements for summer classes, it costs another semester which equal cha-ching.
I work in a different Red state and our HR department renamed themselves during the pandemic to DEI and Recruitment. It makes me feel like it's a waste of time even applying for promotions.
Bravo to TEXAS!!!! STAN TALL FOR TEXAS!!!! Hopefully other States will FOLLOW!!!.
Now we need corporations to follow.
D.E.I ...Didn't Earn It!

Scrapes? 😂
Thought the same thing... should be "scraps" (probably)
The first step in potentially rehabilitating colleges.
Sanity and common sense finally get a win!
Fresh Prince ceo got no guts
I live in California and we tend to overreact to anything done by Texas . I fully expect CA to double its DEI departments.

God's, I love Texas
Absolutely! Perhaps, now, students will be able to read their high school diplomas. Ha! Ha!!

Either is acceptable. Stop being a Grammar Nazi...🙄
@@michaelturano7522 I'm sorry, but standards matter. It's beneath them to be that sloppy. I'm a big fan of PBD and his employees owe him better.

Imagine how Blacks and Hispanics and Latinos and Women felt for decades.
Saving millions!
Thank Goodness. Let people rise by merit.
Dei doesn’t sound great! It sounds like what it is……racism.
