I'm super happy to see your enthusiasm! 🤗 I've had this stuff available to me in the block editor for 2 years with my favorite tool. It's super cool that this is finally coming to all core users.
When I try to use nested synched patterns (simple group with a heading and a paragraph as a synched pattern, duplicated 3 times inside a column block which is part of another synched pattern for the whole section, to make a feature list of sorts) I lose the ability to edit the nested synched pattern. I also have issues with not being able to add extra paragraphs inside group/container style blocks, edit images(enable overrides) of the media&text block. Basically I'm trying to get the styling and layout fixed and locked in a (synched) pattern, and extra elements such as text a bit more easy to add and/or edit. How would you go about this?
Gutenberg isn't flowless but better than elementor, are you even a professional webdev? Cos accordign to your speech, you're not or haven't even really tried Gutenberg
@williamshevr Gutenberg, with its 2.1 star rating in the repo, is better than Elementor? Ha, you're funny... and I don't even like Elementor. Have a look at Paul's latest video, then be ashamed and go away, troll.
I'd like to see more components supported and dynamic data too. It would be awesome if you could also utilise additional block plugins like GenerateBlocks, etc.
It's nice to see this progress, however, but it's also quite "meh" in the scheme of things when compared to the power of Bricks and other builders. Gutenberg could be so much better and more powerful
dashboard > appearance > editor > patterns > my patterns > choose pattern 6 clicks just to navigate a pattern you can see. How about we make it 1 or 2 ?
No, you can use it with classic themes, but you're still pretty limited on what core blocks can be used right now, but I'm hopeful that this will expand once the final version is available.
Looking forward to working with these patterns. Thanks for the sneak peek!

Nice to see Oxygen Builder's 'reusable parts' feature finally becoming native on WordPress. Implementation doesn't appear as seamless though.
I highly agree, love the topic! Powerful stuff… and it is only going to get better (we hope)!
I agree - for once, this is a feature in Core that I can get behind and feel adds a positive impact to working withing WordPress. :)

I can't imagine handing anything built with Gutenberg off to clients. Apparently, a heck of a lot of lipstick can go on a pig though.
Doesn't mean this application within content sections isn't viable however.
What about built with cadence or blocksy? Why not?

@@williamshevr. no, Ive never used anything im brand new to web design and just trying to see what to get into , so many options

Very good video guide!
Sounds like SHTML, one of favorite old school ways to reuse content.
I saw bricks is also working on something like this
They are and I can't wait to try it out and see how it compares. :)
Is this anything like GutenBricks?
Finally usable! 🎉
You hinted at the possibility of extra functionality. What do you foresee what that may be? Looking forward to this as components in Bricks.

@@WPTuts Wait! In the 1.0 version you'll only be able to build components with core blocks? Not, say, Kadence, Generate, ACF, or hand-coded ones?

@@sjf29 I agree, it’s a terrible experience as is a lot of Gutenberg/core.
Looks more like the reusable blocks feature in Oxygen?
No idea, I was never an Oxygen user. :)
Reusable blocks in oxygen does not have option to overwrite the content.
@@markokrstic7787 Yes not exactly but we can make the reusable block editable (unsyncing interms of gutenberg)

The one you know how to use best
Bricks or Breakdance
@@retrocomputing thank you
Is that only for block themes?

Wow, too much mucking around for me. You could never hand this off to a client really? imo
Completely irrelevant to me... So it can not be that big ;-)
