Pawns act as eager cannon fodder, rushing you down with their numbers, the Knight acts like a cocky duelist that will punish you with a sudden charge if you don't honor his demand for a proper duel, the Bishop acts mysterious and somewhat stoic as befits his status as a religious leader, the Rook is big and imposing as both a tower and executioner, and the Queen attacks you while flaunting her wealth at the same time with faberge eggs and gilded lion statues.
@@chillbizz74 Well, no. I think he's actually telling you to come closer rather than mocking you. Like Beltboy said, if you don't get closer, he'll use a more powerful version of his dash attack, as he dashes instantly without telegraphing it. @@chillbizz74 Have fun! I can't get enough of this game + DLC! I got the full package about a month ago and I've already beaten it 5 times! And got every S rank and P rank in expert mode. The game already has more play time than any other game I have for my Switch. I've had my Switch for 4 years. This game is awesome.
I think each version gives the characters an emphasis on their personality: xylophones and vibraphones for the pawns for a sense of playfulness, woodwind for the Knight for a sense of grandeur, guitar for the Bishop as a sense of elegance and mystery, and brass for the rook for a sense of roughness
The knight is honestly my favorite. Because if your a wuss and not going up to him and camping (somehow) the guy just gives you the "Get over here mate" hand gesture. Agreed. The kings leap bosses are way more fun and enjoyable. The only thing I didn't like about the DLC is that there are no run 'n guns! I actually really liked the run 'n guns and it would have been interesting to see the ideas for a new run 'n gun stage on DLC island. Then again, they would need to remove some of the King's Leap bosses to put the coins in a run 'n gun. Or just add more charms and/or weapons.
I find it odd that the "solo" part of this piece uses a violin instead of a horn, because... you know... the piece this boss is based off of is based off of mounted cavalry. Of course, that part could be inspired by William Tell's Overture, maybe...
