- To let them swim or not to let them swim? That's the question NCS officials are pondering after an error left 13 Acalanes High School swimmers ineligible for this weekend's championship meet. abc7ne.ws/4dowXzU

It's the coach's fault for waiting till the last day. If he submitted weeks in advance then they wouldn't have this problem. Stupid coach
I see you commenting on all these post 🤡, not coaches fault their championship meet is the day before the deadline and times need to be exact so therefore he had to wait until the night before. Stupid comment
@@Cytcheedaaaso he knew this and decided to go off the grid for the weekend anyway?
@@J0eBrianI believe he had a personal emergency which required him to go visit somewhere off the grid
Yeah they're failing to mention here that in another interview, the coach admitted until waiting to submit the times until the very last day when he was in a part of rural Oregon where reception was spotty. And the NCS Commissioner did confirm the Coach for the Diving Team did submit their times before the deadline. So entirely the coaches fault.
The coach needs a remedial class on planning and administration.
It's entirely his fault.
Now the swimmers will be cheer leaders for the diving team.
Coach is responsible. Why couldn’t he fill out the form correctly? Tragic!
Something similar happened back in 2012 but the commissioner made an exception for the swimmers then. Yes the coach here messed up but just let the swimmers race especially the 8 seniors this is their last opportunity to race in high school. Just let them swim there’s no harm in that. Even Ryan Murphy agrees with that.
That is so sad
AND THIS IS WORTHY NEWS, WHAT HAS THIS WORLD COME TOO!!
Their isn't a massive attack every day bud.
If the system is flawed, were there other schools that missed the deadline?
In the past yes, Pat Cruickshank was the athletic director of heritage high in 2012 and the same thing happened to them. Now he’s the commissioner of NCS and won’t do the same that was done for him
I think these students should be given an exception.
They seem to be sincere athletes - who respect their teammates, coach, and the sport of swimming.
The administrative-systems and bureaucratic-processes should be clarified, simplified, and updated.
May the Goddesses of Water bless these young athletes with success.
I’m guessing coaches fault ..this is the new generation hard at work
That is very sad. I hope they can rectify the situation.
dumb process with no receipt of confirmation.
These kids should be given an exemption that rule is just flat out wrong. I get it that they have deadlines and everything. But that is on their coach the kids should t be punished for their coaches incompetence
It happens and these are life lessons for both the coach and students. Why did he wait until the last minute to sign up and especially try to do so in a rural part of Oregon?
My daughter had made it to finals in a championship meet but our coach goofed on the amount of time she had to warm up before her competition. She missed her event and they penalize you by automatically scratching you from your next event when you miss. Our coach took full responsibility for the goof on his part. These things happen but you just have to suck it up and learn from it.
Man they let kids wear anything in school now days huh? Parents part of the problem too.
Bro wtf are you talking about
Tf you talking about bruv
Creep
@@Cytcheedaaa Actually I'm being the opposite, but that clearly flew over your head. Seems you might be the one actually. You better start deleting your search history and pics.
Cmon, criminals get multiple free passes. But academic students can't get a waiver? I know this isn't the criminal justice system. Let them compete! Maybe if one went TRANS they would let them compete.
Agreed!
