You know what makes me laugh about the "Leia flying through space" sequence. It could’ve been a perfect moment to simply kill her off, especially given Carrie Fisher's passing soon after. Instead we got…whatever that was.
What happened to "I am your father"? Also another one that shocked me was when Luke threw the lightsaber away at the beginning of TLJ. I wasn't expecting that, and that switched me off.

How was everyone dying at the end of Rogue One a WTF moment exactly? I was under the impression that all Star Wars fans who watched it were aware that no one survived?
Literally everyone drew parallels between those two scenes. And it was actually one of the reasons for doing Luke's entrance in The Mando Season 2 that way.
regarding the "kiss". the first was just a peck, and she did not know at that time. the second was definitely a kiss, and probably the point where she suspected something because it just didn't feel right. From that point on she is different towards him. so, this sick moment you speak of is actually quite innocent, even if a little gross.

The kiss was a product of the fact that George Lucas did not plan on making them brother and sister. It was a last-minute change before episode 6.
