    For everyone this model is AEG ÖKO ULTRASILENCER 3901 and yeah 3900 is the same just as a info ! My advise before you disassemble a device make a video or Photos step by step that you can assemble again.
    Best regards,

      Do you know what PNC Number it has?

    I was hoping a fix on the retracted instead of replacement.

      Sorry to disappoint you.
      I tried to fix it outside of the video. But I was not able to wind the cable on the reel and get the string. Into the right position.
      I was not brave enough to disassemble the whole thing because it seems that plastics would break beyond repair and the spring inside would just make everything explode.

    Hi, thanks for the videos instructions. How to fix the wire cord back properly? I am facing e same issue that e cord doesn't retract. Thanks!

    • @sykoproduction
      @sykoproduction  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi. I first tried to repair the winding mechanism itself but I guess the plastic parts that keep the main spring in place were too far gone and I was not able to disassemble it. At least no without damaging it even more .
      Best bet is to get a replacement for the whole winding mechanism. That's the main story of this video.

      @@sykoproduction Hi, my vacuum winding cord is not damaged. I just can't figure out how to install the retract button in a correct way after dismantling it.

    • @AL-ph2yn
      @AL-ph2yn Před 2 lety

      I found the solution. 1. Make sure e white color retractor is hooked by the black color fixture. 2. Make sure the retract button mechanism is working able to get spring touch. 3. Fix the cover back and it will work well.

    Good video especially on how to take it apart. I have the same model. Do you have any idea what that black soft spongy material on the back filter door is? Mine was shedding onto the floor & soon after I removed & threw it away, the vacuum began to stop after less than a minute’s use. The manual indicates overheating. And I had thought removing it would assist airflow! Maybe coincidence, as machine is 7 years old & nearing end of life.

    • @sykoproduction
      @sykoproduction  Před 2 lety

      Hi.
      I guess the black sponge is there as an extra filtering layer. Or maybe it diffuses the air coming out of the rear.
      I managed to overheat this vacuum a couple of times ( I hooked it up to a sander and the vacuum was trying to pull the same amount of air through a much smaller hole but it ran for a maybe 5-10 minutes), but after it cooled down and I used it normally it was working fine. To be honest I have trouble imagining how the missing sponge material could cause overheating. As you said , probably coincidence.

    Thank you Syko, this has been very helpful! Could you please advise on where to find new cable winder for replacement?

    • @sykoproduction
      @sykoproduction  Před 4 lety +1

      Hi. Sorry for delayed response. I am not used to getting comments under my videos. It usually happens in million years. I went straight for the local Electrolux eshop (shop.electrolux.sk in my case) and ordered it there. As I mention in the video, it helps if you now the product number (PNC) of your vacuum, because there is alt of them and they look quite similar. The cost from around 23 € to 36 €. It's not cheap, but I did not want to risk any 3rd party cheap alternatives, that would not fit. Hope this helps. Let me know if you managed to fix it.

      Syko Production the sticker with Product serial number is gone, so I had to improvise, but after LOTS OF GOOGLING and comparing pictures finally bought one (came to be 40€ with shipping). My vacuum is as good as new now. THANKS AGAIN!

    Hi! I have the same model and also a defect cable winder. Unfortunately I can't read the PNC either. Can you tell me yours? Cheers, Edmund

    • @sykoproduction
      @sykoproduction  Před 3 lety +1

      I don't have the PNC anymore, but I have checked the email form when I ordered my parts. The product number of the winder itself is 2198347706. Whe I try to search it on the electrolux site, it tells me that the part is no longer available. The new winder model that replaces it is 140025791199. From the photos it looks to be the same thing, just the color of the insulation on the cable itself is different.
      Let me know if this helps.
