I think shooting in 4K is more useful for YOU than it is for your audience. I shoot everything in 4K to make sure I have as much data as possible so I can crop, reframe, etc. It’s just an extra measure of safety.
Fair point!
Thank you. Very useful info. 😊
Thanks, great advice!!
Glad it was helpful!
Hi Joanie! I was wondering what are the best setting to export video from Adobe Premiere. I sometimes airdrop my video's to my iPhone and edit the clips on iShot or Capcut. Will you cover this? Do you have an export preset? Thank you so much!
I have different export pre-sets for different types of videos and I'll be going in depth on Premiere and Resolve in Food in Motion so stay tuned! But, the short answer without getting too far into the weeds is in Premiere if I'm exporting for TikTok, Instagram or CZcams, I'm exporting with the H.264 codec, MP4 format, 1080p resolution, 30 fps.
Is gopro hero 11 an okay camera for taking food content videos?
Hi. I have a Canon EOS R5 Full-Frame Mirrorless Camera - 8K Video, 45 Megapixel Full-Frame CMOS Sensor, DIGIC X Image Processor, Up to 12 fps Mechanical Shutter and reading the video specs is confusing. What I would love is the 120 frame rate to capture the slow motion with applicable. Will this cam do it?
The R5 does have 120fps capability at 4k and 1080p, so you won't be limited at all. It's a very powerful camera!
I'm looking forward to go professional and I've a FF Nikon D850(2160 @ 30p Max) and a Crop D7200(1080 @ 60p in 1.3x crop mode or 1080 @ 30p Max) will these be okay provided the slow AF of Nikon DSLRs ??
Yep! I started on a camera that's very similar to your D7200. In food, for the most part manual focus is the way to go so a great AF isn't essential. Definitely start with what you have and as you run into challenges, take note and that will inform what features will be important to you when you want to get your next camera.
