Homie straight killed that park. He knows all the different options for those obstacles.
I hope that everyone has an amazing and memorable summer and safe travels and skateboarding throughout the years. 🍀♾️❤️🔥
After chasing kickflips in my youth and returning to skating at 31 I finally landed my first one last year. It took being so fed up that I just started committing to ever single one and it finally worked.
Even if you think you’re trying, sometimes you’re really not physically trying 100%.
Like Dan says don’t let fear dictate how you attempt a trick. Just give it all you got and trust yourself!
Your videos always feel like it’s just a bunch of friends hanging out with no intimidation or competition to see who can land the best tricks. Just has a raw “hanging with the homies” kind of vibe. Really enjoy the channel
Dan I love your videos, I watch them every day and though I can’t hardly skate at all, watching the Powell team always gets me stoked on life and watching your videos is something I look forward to every day. As commercial as it has become, Powell is still my favorite skate company and Stacy absolutely rules! Rock on!!! Bones Brigade for life
Hope you get some good sessions in yourself and im glad u enjoy them :)
Watching live, as this channel progresses, is the highlite of my day. I was a late 70's early 80's Skateboarder. And then caught up again in my 50's.
The follow shots on the camera on your board gives an amazing feel for the park. Keep it up.
Used to skate....only learned ollies and kickflip...through watching your videos ive heard ( and now realize that i never did this first) to get comfortable on your board and now with this video adding onto what i should have done. Shit. Now i want to get back into skating. Your videos are entertaining and helpful. Thanks Can Dorrigan. Much love from UT. ✌️
The only thing better than that long front nose, is the sleeveless Cher shirt.
Another kick ass offering Dan.
I started thinking this way when I started really watching Andy Anderson just flow around and do his thing.
Your points about being hesitant and tense, plus about skaters "blindly going into it" are spot on. Among my skate group there's an inside joke that I skate and learn things better when i'm sleep deprived than when I'm well-rested.
[To be clear, not advocating for folks skating when sleep deprived, just the fact that when i'm mentally clocked out like that i'm less in my head and more acting on instinct and reactions]
When i'm rested, often times if i'm messing things up or trying to learn something deliberately i'll be way in my head and overthinking what my body and limbs are doing, rather than just "doing the thing" I also have something called "Dyspraxia" [D.C.D] that also means i'm over-focusing on what my limbs are doing and making sure they are doing the correct thing. [Kickflips for ex, 9/10 i'm kicking so hard i'm almost doubleflipping, when i don't need to kick with nearly as much force]
ur videos are so helpful thanks dan
Glad you like them!
It's amazing how Nick's feet stay glued to his board. Editing aside, I mean he almost never doesn't land a trick when he seems out of control.
Nick has a great style! Creative and improvised. But that takes skill, confidence and a quick mind.
Your videos help a 50yrs old guy who stop skating 15yrs ago to go back and have good times again.
Skate Sempre.
Thanks (From Brazil).
Im gonna cut things.. video still over 20 😂 I dont mind.
i would have been like 30 min hahah
Once upon a time, there was a person who came across a highly recommended video that everyone around them found hilarious and entertaining. Excited to see what all the fuss was about they eagerly clicked on the video and settled in to watch.
However, as the video played out, the person found themselves growing increasingly confused and unamused. They waited for the punchline that never seemed to come, and the jokes fell flat for them. While the people around them burst into fits of laughter, the person sat there feeling disconnected and wondering why they just didn't find funny at all.
Despite trying to see the humor in it, the person just couldn't force a laugh or even crack a smile. They felt out of place in a room full of joyous laughter, unable to share in the excitement of those around them.
As the video ended and the laughter died down, the person quietly excused themselves, feeling a little disappointed and perplexed. They realized that humor can be subjective, and what tickles one person's funny bone might not necessarily resonate with another.
And so, the person walked away from the video, knowing that it's okay not to find everything funny or entertaining, and that sometimes, humor is truly in the eye of the beholder.

Love the shirt Dan 💪🏼. Amazing skating. Love how you broke it all down too 🙏🏼🤩
Im recovering from a gsw to my right hand, and my skating is getting more gnar by the day and comfortability on the board is my number one focus
Awesome video! The insights are super good and cool to hear
I always thought that long, backside nose slides were very underappreciated. It's cool to see someone who regularly throws them into their sessions.
I also really like the design of this park. So many parks today are either back and forth, or around in circles. It's cool to see something more open with diagonal options. It does look very fun and playful. But, I can see how it would turn into a collision nightmare when it was busy.
GOD my local Suuuuucks. 😔
I don't even HAVE a local, i think the closest park is 30-35 miles away, and it's not even that great of a park, has like 5 obstacles
Stomped a heel/toe dragged tre for the first time ever after watching this, thank you for posting this!
You need to make “do we take that/those” shirts lol
10:11 "First ever flawless line that got last place in a contest." Friendliest shade.
Nice, was in DC last month and visited Shaw as well! Love the vids Dan, keep up the good work
Cool vlog, sick and radical tricks on point! Stoked!
Bro shredz !!!
He does
the advice is very true. i was just starting to get kickflips every try pretty much and now its so much easier to just land on the board. I got varial flips in like 20 minutes because i just tried to land on the board and it worked. Im trying to learn nightmare flips, and im gonna apply the same advice.
I loved meeting you guys when you were down here in phoenix! Keep up the good work guys!
beautiful park
That was a great question, Dan. If you could continue to skate one obstacle for the rest of your life, what would it be? Nick's comment about 3.5 mini would be my answer too. Also, Nick rips!
That is a fun park, I skated that with my son a few years ago. The locals were friendly and some damn good skaters.
so wild seeing you here! im in this part of dc constantly
hell yeah was wondering if you were gonna make it down to dc while you were out here
That Shaw skatepark is so good I was staying a block over from it on the fourth saw that busted deck and those no name black trucks early in the am that day … roasted boon next door has fire coffee! Sucks I missed you.
Wheel base is everything. 8.8 with a 14.25WB sounds amazing. I finally found an 8.5" with a 14.25WB. Narrower WB's is the way of future for skateboarding.
That park looks like so much fun🤙🏼🤙🏼.
Your homie is insane. His ability to stay on his board when 99% of half-decent skaters would step off is mind boggling. He's super fun to watch, but I kind of wish you didn't cut up some of the lines. I'm totally fine to see someone roll up the quarter pipe and back since it keeps the flow of the line a little better.
YE, I have a similar mindset, and try to teach the same thing to some of the groms running around i meet, but more or less land and practice and understand the concepts, then get your body to do it, then fight the fear... its a bit more methodical and take your time and warm up to stuff, even if you did it a million times, kinda stuff
12:24 Textbook backside turn. As someone who is looking to improve their backside turns, the timing and angle on this is one of the best I've seen. My plan now is to film myself from behind and see where I'm off.
sick park. sick skating. would love to have a park like this near my location in germany.
Heard rumours of muscle T Dan... never seen in the wild though...
Bro lands almost every trick❤🔥🔥🔥
Thank you Dan
Needed this
"You learned to --dance-- sarcastically??" -the Other Guys
*sk8
You are à master dan 💎💎💎🍻
One of my favorite parts is Koston’s Chomp on this part because he force lands like almost every trick in the part. Looked hilarious but they were also super gnarly tricks
Holding on to something helps
Realized that i miss the beautiful sound of ACID wheels these days..
Nice one
Bee's shorts are literally Bananas XD Also, Vert Shirt Dan = Best Dan?
Yo those cut offs work
Homie's rad skating made the whole video.
I love Shaw park! curb & pool coping
Rare Kevin spacey joke! 🤣👍
Pro skaters are so fun to watch have casual sessions
I often ride away from a trick and joke to myself that I landed it despite all my efforts to bail.
I skate this park (shaw) and man yall are crazy doing this in this heat. It was at least 90-95F while you were there with over 50% humidity
Another hack, which really isn’t one, is that you just gotta get out and skate everyday if you want to keep learning new tricks. Even if you don’t feel like it.
Love from Canada 🇨🇦
The park looks like it was built by Hunger Skateparks. They built my local in Evansville IN last year. A lot of their parks have red concrete and black angle iron so that's my best guess
It was awesome to meet you that day, Dan. Is the secret to just land the trick?
Personally i prefer without the cuts so you can see the whole line, gives a much better feel of the flow. Either way I'll still watch daily, keep smashing it brother
nick is incredible!!!! what the heck
That park looks so fun - is it a Grindline built park?
That park looks so so fun
Great advice.. over here taking notes 🙏🏽👊🏽🧅
Looks like a new line skatepark. They do the cracks horizontal so it's way smoother
bro in the white shirt is doing things that are basically impossible at this park. Much respect
He's ripping! Dope Park btw
place was so fun
Had to hit the like button after that crook on the bench
Buff Dan summer
Dude skate like a non bald Dan Corrigan - it's amazing.
9:07 Sick
Nick rips. Good talk for sure. My ankle has been messed up since February cuz of pussy foot fucking around on a flat bar. That slight hesitation will getcha
I feel like if you stomp primo it’s far more likely to flip away from primo, slightly less weight and the board stays
14:01 Nice
15:28 I know what episode you’re talking about 😂
I take the same approach. I only posted one video so far but check out my first day. My goal was just to commit to whatever it was. So i landed a shuvit my first day. Not pretty but i got it. Let Bree know what gut think 👍😎
Theory Map Griptape got you better
speaking of this park, I snapped my left fifth metatarsal into five pieces on that gap one time.
Nick is so good
Damn in US you’re so lucky to have so many skateparks that on peak time theres still like 7 people and ZERO scooter infestation…
I gotta deal with at least 20+ only scooter kid army allll the time. All times except early workday mornings.
Suns out guns out!
A lot of the time for me it takes a little fall to start sticking my feet on the board. The “pussy footing” comes from a fear of getting hurt. So sometimes that slam is all you need to be like “huh that wasn’t bad” and start committing
12:45 I am pretty sure spohn ranch designed this park and built it
furthermore, the bowl is too slippery. major gripe about this park. everything else is perfect
Real title of the video: "Watch some random dude skate..."
So one of the things that make me so awesome is…..
I would live at that park if I lived there
I never skated as a youngin so i had to figure it all out by myself.. i started learning tricks easier/quicker once i had the basic understanding of skateboarding.. i do a 180.. i do a shuvit.. try to do it at the same time💥💥 learned big flips and shit soon after.. was calling em halfcab flips 😅😂😂😂 Ik my philosophy was rudimentary but i still learn like that.. learn hardflips? Gotta toss a 180 onnit, bird dirty? Double flip it 😂
As a bald dude, I’ve forgotten my hat one time. There is no burn like a scalp burn. I keep hats and sunscreen everywhere.
That park looks amazing and he was absolutely destroying it
Nooooo, the space between tricks is what gives the line it's flow feel. And it's fun. And adds minutes. Keep how you been. Unless it's not paying for you anymore.
I wish I would have known would have pulled up next time you are out here go to white plains skate park
Unfortunately this is why my skating is so much better when I bring my flask to the park....
Dan and friends come to the park and the other skaters just stop and watch.
Mike V. - Public Domain. Mike hated the rushed footage and Stacey loved the flow. Just keep swimming…
I saw him dancing with your lady .
Do you " Yes " a willy grind? Lol
6:00 Broomfield Co skatepark be like :
