Small face is the Korean beauty standard. So saying that she has a small face is saying that she is beautiful.
So ep 1 - 4 is the BLACKPINK missions. It was recorded April 2022 and the only reason that we know that is because of Jennie's hair color and from BEHIND THE SCENES where they showed them celebrating Ahyeon's Birthday which is also in April. It was the only time that Jennie had that hair color. The only thing that they didn't show us was the solo performances for that month. Ep 5 - 8 is their last evaluation before announcing the final line-up which was recorded in May 2022. So the final selection for BABYMONSTER was made in June 2022 and the announcement for a new girl group was made in January 2023. So when THE LAST EVALUATION aired, many people that followed YG new girl group before THE LAST EVALUATION already knew that it was a 7 member group. There were pictures of them at the second day of the BORN PINK concert in Seoul when the tour kicked off. Back then not many people knew who they were so people thought that they were just other people that were attending the concert.
In the case of YG saying that someone will be eliminated, there could be reasons behind it like they only have enough budget to support a 4 - 5 member group. They are on their last month of evaluations so his announcement was just to remind them that he might not have a choice in the matter. It seems that the members were also aware that there is a possibility that they could still be eliminated from the group. In one of the episodes you will hear the girls say something like, "ahh, so the number has been set" or something to that effect. In other words, they were hopeful that no one had to be eliminated but it is still a possibility.

Great Reaction Along For The Ride! What really surprised me about these Last Evaluations was that the YGX Choreographer’s are also a big part of the final outcome! Silvergunnnn has become part of BABYMONSTER team and that’s why she brought Lisa in to fine tune them for this important part of the Evaluations! Also when Lisa first sits to watch BABYMONSTER for the first time YG is standing next to her and nobody ever catches that! Oh Lisa’s Comeback will happen in about 4 1/2 hours! Or 8:00pm Eastern Time!

Don't worry, nobody's getting eliminated. It's just "sexy" editing. Watching it "live" (so to speak) was worrysome ofc. Great reaction, it's always fun to revisit this show and watch some of my favorite girlies again with you guys.

Been said by someone else but “small face” isn’t just Korean, Chinese are similar. The more western face is considered better looking. Not to say others aren’t. But it’s definitely a thing. So it wasn’t an insult. They were basically saying she is good looking.
You already know that all 7 got selected. Most Baemons thought YG was just marketing and all 7 was already a group. But I think YG was always thinking 5, the girls performances made it an impossible choice. There are no weak links in Baby Monster. They are a 7 member group for sure. If you look at the training period at the time. Rora, Rami, Ruka, Asa and Ahyeon have trained 4/5 years. Pharita 2 years and Chiquita a year. The Thailand girls were added much later as Blackpink Lisa had blown up the Thailand Market for YG. The final evaluations was for YG to decide a reselection of the final 5 as the Thailand girls became a must have.

They only have 40 songs but their level and quality is so superior that that alone is enough to become the biggest girl group in history.
The songs that DO NOT have a music video (as they do not have subtitles) I recommend that you watch them in COLOR CODED LYRICS, look for it on CZcams, they are the same songs but with a translation and on the screen they show who of the 4 is singing.
I have watched Blackpink perform this Stay, on the original mv, also watched live on Inkigayo 7 years ago and live in a climate change, earth watch mv recently. The girls presented themselves very much of more recent Blackpink earth watch mv. A much more relaxed vibe. I thought the Baby Monster girls brought a much more teenage vibe than that presented by Blackpink. Akmu coach got it wrong. The girls did a great performance.
I dont think you should say akmu was wrong. You werent there. Maybe the atmosphere was just weird. They didnt say they werent good, they just said that they could have done better and akmu are professionals so i think they had a reason to say that. When i watched it i also thought thag they were great, but im not a professional so i think we cant see everything they see.
