Fun fact, this venue has become the most visited by tourists in Germany (and not dreadful Neuschwanstein Castle). And it’s 100% worth it! The accuracy, the precision, the maintenance and the creativity are one of a kind in the world. Always look out for the hidden details in the scenery!
Try to check there early during the week. Weekends extremely crowded although restricted thru entrance slots. On weekdays often schools visit but the kids‘ enthusiasm raises the fun big time. Enjoy and take your time at Miniatur Wunderland!

I found this fantastic working to scale miniature city complete with airport around perhaps 2018. It's now almost September 2019 and I see many fantastic additions. If I were to ever visit Europe this major miniature city *w/working harbor and airport would absolutely be my 1st visit!!!*
Why is the castle dreadful? I love castles and I think it looks beautiful.

Nice Video, I really loved to see it as the Miniatur Wunderland is in my hometown At the start of the Wunderland some 19 years ago many people had negative feelings about it, proposing it will face bancruptcy within short time. Now see what it has grown to, its just amazing and so many people visit it :)

I will definitely visit this place 😃. In childhood(8-9 years ago) I've seen it on some tv channel, probably national geographic or something. Finally I knew exactly where I wanna go for seeing it😊. Right now I'm 18 years old 😎 and incredible things always excite me 🤗

Can’t wait to visit this place its the best ever i visited hamburg 1999
that was just two years to early. I've been there on the first day they had an test opening in May 2001, and then later that year again, and every year since then at least once. Currently they are in lockdown because of the virus just as everything else too, but they are working hard to do maintenance and installing some new parts even now. As soon as possible I will visit again.

What a great experience! I was there in summer 2012 and took the guided tour, and in the airport I said to the guide "Wow, you are ahead of the reality" The guide asked "Why??" "Well, in real life Thai Airways will get their first A380 not before November". He replied: "I will not tell the boss because he would take it out until then. Which would be a shame because it is so beautiful". Everything must be as near to reality as possible. Another example: There is a little gas station with a tiny price display. A computer is programmed to download the real prices from the homepage of the gas company and forward it to that tiny display every three hours, just to be perfect. And this perfection is through the whole building...

I got to see a miniature version of Chicago, Detroit, and Seattle while I was in Chicago.. I though it was cool. But this, this is just amazing.

@@svenlima no, they don’t. After they fly through the curtain they get lowered and taxi below the airport. You can see that at 2:12. Once it’s time for them to reappear they just taxi to a spot behind the curtains, get picked up by the steel rods and land
What does it cost to get into Wunderland? Here in our city they have a Mini Time Machine Museum but it's nothing like this,they have no trains or planes,it's mostly old house from the late 1800's and early 1900's. I mean they are really cool especially during Dec when some of the homes have Christmas trees and decorations. We pay $10US to get in.
It's 20 € for grown ups currently but really worth it

Yes, it lands every now and then at the airport! Other special visitors include the space shuttle and a "bee" plane
