+Bobby Burkito Russia won the race "First man in space", the US won the race "First man on the moon" - only made possible by a German Nazi called Von Braun. Congratulations!
I live in Philly and was at that game. I went with my dad and brothers, and we had no idea what was going on, and none of us had smart phones. So we asked the guy next to us what happened and he said something I'll never forget. He said, "Bin Laden: We got the son of a bitch." It was than like a chain reaction of people finding out, and I even saw some people crying when they were chanting. I will never forget the lives lost on 9/11 and the soldiers who gave their lives in this 10 year hunt.
jmunjj80 I ain't no commie haha. I just think there is no best country, all countries are great except the messed up ones. Not saying united states is bad
Obama deserves all the praise for the killing. Obama did the job that George W Bush failed to do. Remember the "mission accomplished" banner, LOL! Obama was the man and 4 or 8 more years of Obama would do the USA a lot more good
As a Yankee fan I never thought that I could say this but .... GO Phillies Fans, I am with you on this one! USA! USA! USA! USA! & GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS!!
Kids will still chant USA randomly in school. Almost cried when I heard the news living in NYC and living here and living through those dark days from 9/11 all the way to may '02 when the cleanup ended
I'm so proud just that this is a New York mets and a phillies game. And all of the fans ,no matter what, came together and chanted USA. chills everytime.
Lifelong SF Giants fan. Phillies and the Giants have a growing rivalry, Great job Phillies' fans, you folks representing the pride of being Americans!!! USA!!! USA!!! USA!!!!
I'm Aussie, but I think Americans should be very proud. As Steyn said, the only reason Norway can be Norway and Belgium can be Belgium and Canada can be Canada is because the USA can be the USA. All of these countries require the USA's military strength to defend the Western world in times of trouble, and take for granted that protection. The USA is fighting a fight for freedom and the enlightened values that many take for granted. Americans should be proud of that.
Dude I was at home with my family watching Celebrity Apprentice(ironically) when breaking news logo came on. We looked at each other wondering what happened however my dad was like "I wonder if we got Bin Laden?" When the news broke I jumped up for joy. GOD BLESS AMERICA
i went to the game being a met fan i was friendly teasing this phillie fan next to me as he was for me. When the news broke out we were no longer met and phillie fans but fans of the red white and blue God bless America :)
my brain wouldn't be functioning if someone put a bullet through my skull. Therefore I wouldn't be talking factual shit. Sorry kid. "inbred faggot" Don't call me that.... I'm not American lol
Hayat well, there has been named responsible killer, operation, and some events that happened during the operation, also the tests made to prove it was him, like his sister DNA, and the fact that even though the ISIS has lastly been on intensive activity, he has made no appearance, or his name was mentioned. He just disappeared, which can be that he was really killed, he retired from terrorism (least probabilities), he was captured (low possibilities) or he disappeared temporally for the risk of being found again. First and last one are the most possible, I vote for the first one, and we all hope it is.
@Arcexey I wonder why Operation Overlord took place around the same time Operation Bagration happened? The US and UK was going to jump in if either the USSR was on the verge of collapse, or if they were shown to be winning the war - which they were getting close to in Bagration - which pushed the Red Army to the original Molotov-Ribbentrop line.
What a GREAT night! We won the game after that, on a go-ahead run courtesy of Ronny Paulino's game-winning double in the 14th, besides. AWESOME night! A Mets game and a night I'll never forget it! ';-)
I was at a restaurant when it happened, one of the customers shouted out that Osama was dead. An employee changed the channel on the TV to the news. We all began chanting it and to this day I don't know why. Just one moment in history where the last 10 years almost seem justified and you felt the fellowship of being an American next to another beer drinking hard working American.
I got the chills waching this video. It just goes to show that even with all of our differences we can still unite under one casue and one flag! GO USA!!
i was 4 when 9/11 happend i was at a daycare all of a sudden everyone went upstairs i saw all the adults watching t.v then i look at it im watching i dont remember much but i have a picture in my mind... when the second plane hit that picture has stayed in my mind for 10 years
"I mourn the loss of thousands of precious lives, but I will not rejoice in the death of one, not even an enemy. Returning hate for hate multiplies hate, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that" - Martin Luther King Jr.
I was at this game. I was in the restaurant in left field. My friend came back from the bathroom and found out the news about Bin Laden's death. The USA chants started softly in the 7th inning and continue all the way til the 9th inning.
When I first heard the news that he was dead I was in a study lounge in college. I heard from one of my friends that Osama had been killed. Soon enough the entire lounge heard the news and everyone was talking about it. Just one of those memories i'll always have.
and I live in Stockholm btw. we haven't had any serious attacs, only one fail suicide bomber some days before christmas last year. so I kinda know what you've gone through. only a smaller version of it. and thank god only one person died. my brother was shopping close to where it happened.
The thing thats weird about this is... its the 9th inning and its tied 1 to 1 and the phillies are playing the mets... and it was on the day osama bin laden was killed.... THATS AWESOME!
@Arcexey just so you know I'm not Russia or from any ex-USSR member state lol. The thing is, re. the oil the Soviet Union has a lot of oil in the caspian and Caucaus mountain regions. For lend-lease I know what you're referring to that was very important & those vehicles did cut down on casualties a lot.
@CloseTheseEyes Hey thanks. I think most people that hate on my country would be shocked to find out that we're actually perfectly nice people who want to help others. All they need to do is visit and find out what we're really like. Many people think Americans are ignorant, but they themselves are ignorant about Americans. Thanks for recognizing that we're not actually bad people and we'd give our blood to defend people we've never met just because they support liberty like we do.
Anyone else think it's strange that this happened during the 9th inning of a 1-1 ballgame between two teams that represent the two states directly affected by 9/11? Just asking :)
@redwingsmike3718 Americans...as we always have been...are the most charitable and giving people on the face of the Earth. I cannot think of one people in the history of human civilization that has shown so much compassion, charity, and genuine love of mankind. Yes, we like all others wage war. And yes, war is the most horrible thing in the world, but while war is the darkest of our souls...it is also the greatest of our love and courage. Ask any soldier why he goes to war...you will understand
@RCMatthews93 Now, you're gonna have to tell me how this works, b/c I've always wondered about this whole process. Now, I posted my comment 4 mos ago and since then numerous comments have been posted. How exactly did you go about singling out my comment amongst the other 1900+? Did you go through each page until the end? or did you view it as a list and enter some obscure search term to navigate that list? Whatever you did, it saddens me to know that you have nothing better to do.
Oddest bunch of scenarios: 1. It was the 9th inning 2. Score tied 1 to 1. (9,1,1) 3. Planes crashed in New York and in Pennsylvania, where Philadelphia is located.
There's the countries that use the metric system, and the countries that have walked on the moon.

I saw this on cable and I had goosebumps watching this game. The Mets' David Wright's comments were awesome. Unforgettable..
What a GREAT night! We won the game after that, on a go-ahead run courtesy of Ronny Paulino's game-winning double in the 14th, besides.
AWESOME night!
A Mets game and a night I'll never forget it!

It must've felt great to be in the stadium that day. Go Phills and go U.S.A.
I respect Philly's baseball fans so much.

Notice when they found out: Top of the 9th with each team having 1 run, 9-1-1. Poetic Justice...

this game was the besst because right when they said USA the inning was 9 and the score was 1 to 1, making 911... I know it is pretty epic.
The thing thats weird about this is... its the 9th inning and its tied 1 to 1 and the phillies are playing the mets... and it was on the day osama bin laden was killed.... THATS AWESOME!

Did we 😂
0:20 what phone is that ?
@StanOfGB I forgot one detail, the person is someone in the stands.
Anyone else think it's strange that this happened during the 9th inning of a 1-1 ballgame between two teams that represent the two states directly affected by 9/11? Just asking :)
i wonder if the players knew what was going on, i wonder if they were told during the game
Anyone else notice that it was in the 9th and it was 1-1. 9/11? Also 2 guys on base it was the way the towers were situated as well. Coincidence?
cant believe I was here, didnt go to school next day because this game went so deep
this is a beautiful moment
weird how it's the 9th inning with the score tied at 1-1 = 09/01/01
You should have seen my race track that Saturday...
The one time I actually respect Philly Phans!

Phillies fans are easily the best fans in the world. Better than any team, and any sport. 2011 World Champions anyone?

As much as I hate the Phillies, I have to admit seeing this gave me goosebumps. Respect to the fans because of this.
Music to my ears!
I remember watching this
@blistershot yes! Also, the 3 of the 4 planes hijacked on 9-11 crashed in either New York(Mets) or Pennsylvania(Phillies ).
i get chills of freedom everytime i see this
gives me chills
It's cute that the British think they could've won WWII without us.
This is why philly is goat of the USA. It was founded here. Perfection
There were Mets fans there too. They all came in unison for one cause. "USA! USA! USA!"
Oddest bunch of scenarios:
1. It was the 9th inning
2. Score tied 1 to 1. (9,1,1)
3. Planes crashed in New York and in Pennsylvania, where Philadelphia is located.
I love how 2 fans of hated rival teams came together for this
It's weird that the weekend of the Aurora shooting the Rockies played the Padres.
they should have done a na na na na hey hey goodbye chant. now that would have been awesome.
Alright, alright, I'm a Reds fan but I half to say good job Phillies, oh and Phillies, this thumbs up is for you!
WISDOM
Remember when shit wasn’t weird and you just loved the USA
