My Testimony: I Didn't Know I Was Backsliding...

- I got saved in 2007 and attended church regularly.
However, as I got older, I found myself becoming more and more complacent in my faith. I still believed in God and Jesus, but my passion for following Him and living out His teachings began to wane.
It wasn't until I faced some personal challenges and struggles that I realized I needed to reevaluate my relationship with God. I began to ask myself tough questions and seek out answers through prayer and reading the Bible. Slowly but surely, I started to reignite my passion for living out my faith and following Jesus.
Through my experience as a lukewarm Christian, I've learned the importance of not taking my faith for granted and the need for continual spiritual growth. I hope that by sharing my story, I can encourage others who may be going through a similar experience.

I’m a muslim girl but I can resonate with a lot of things that you’ve said. While I do not fall into the sin of sex, alcohol, partying etc. I still find myself attaching myself to this world and putting my trust in other people instead of God. May God guide us all
I was raised in a Christian home and was forced to attend church, I moved out when I was 17 and went through a rebellious phase, but found that no matter how far I'd go, I was still never able to fully let myself go into the world. My parents, being the devout Christians they are, would still pray for me in the hope that one day I found Christ. I spent years trying to fill an empty void and emulate what I thought was happiness. Go out partying, travel the world, be in a relationship, have cool friends, nice house, car, and a good job. On paper, it all sounded great, yet deep down, I was still lonely and depressed, as I knew everything was only temporary. Was constantly trying to chase my next high. I always thought my parents lived a very boring life and found them just plain naive, but in the end, I found myself just wanting what they had, which was peace. After years of running away, last year, November, I finally decided to give God a chance, and I have not looked back since. Being a follower of Christ is a decision one has to make for his/herself. However, I am grateful now that my parents showed me what it meant to have unwavering faith and submission to God, as it gave me something to emulate. I have a daughter myself, and I do make her attend church with me and will carry on doing so until she no longer lives under my roof, as that is my duty as a parent. However, I also encourage her to have a personal relationship with God.
“Chase God & everything will chase you.” Absolutely! A lot of ppl get misconstrued by the saying, “God will give you the desires of your heart.” That statement is not entirely true, because our desires do not always align with God’s desires often leading us disappointed when things don’t work out how we planned. When we continue to seek the Heavenly Kingdom, not only will more blessings flow into our lives, but all of our desires will become God’s desires and we will fall into His perfect alignment. I dibble and dabble into the world so many times and always end up feeling regret or spiritually feeling unfulfilled. You literally have stand with God and his word wholeheartedly and trust him💯

I was about to comment but was worried it might come across the wrong way. The first thing when I opened the video was the top and now sexy it is. She's on a journey, so giving sis grace but it was definitely a distraction and not fitting for a video talk about God.
Was listening to Lisa Bevere and she was asking God to use her, God replied and said I don’t use people, the devil uses people, I anoint them.
I was just watching your video “When God Has You In Transition…” and during the second half of the video where you started low-key preaching and whipping out bible verses- I absolutely LOVED it and found myself saying “AMEN” a lot 🙌🏽 I was craving more and you sharing your testimony on this platform is such a blessing, thank you Breeny ❤️ I could listen to you talking about the bible all day 😍 As someone who also grew up in a Christian home, and has been saved for over a decade, who struggled with the need for control, external validation and being a people pleaser, I could relate to your journey. I find myself constantly backsliding and being lukewarm after being exposed to the cruelty of this world on repeat and hitting rock bottom but this type of content made me realise how spiritually hungry I actually am and inspires me to get closer to God and become more spiritually inclined. I want my spirit to be on fire like how it used to be. Praise God for introducing me to these videos and his goodness in forgiving believers like me who have backslid and gone lukewarm/cold 🥲

Thank You Breeny! I needed to hear this because I am Lukewarm! I often take my eyes off of God and go back to the things of This world when what I truly thought that I was seeking a relationship with God when I was only seeking Him for things because I felt like I have never had enough. I have been lost. Thank You for being obedient Breeny.
Get back in the word, daily. Even a few minutes a day will make an enormous difference. Seek fellowship with genuine believers. You can't do this solo. The devil wants us away from the body so he can attack. I pray God lead you to the right church meeting.

This video was awesome. I am appreciative that my mother made us go to church as children. Going to church as a minor actually built a christian foundation in me. As I grew older and strayed away and as I still stray at times as we are not perfect, I find myself going right back to Christian principles that have been instilled in me. I am not a religious person but I am a spiritual person striving to please Jesus Christ on a daily basis. As you said, you cannot get to the Son which is Jesus, without going through the Father which is God. I love your videos!
Omg Breeny, I know the club in brixton. I went there once early after I was saved and honestly. I could not enjoy myself at all. I KNEW I wasnt supposed to be there. Needless to say I never went there again. That was a werid place had a dark energy in there. So werid.

Breeny, I’m glad that your sharing your testimony. You speak life into women because you want the best for them. You speak with authority and power. Now, the Lord is going to continue to use you in that way but he will be all over it.
I can see you fervently praying for someone. I believe that exhortation is one of your gifts and he is going to continue to use you in that area. There will be some shedding that you’ll have to do but if your ready to go the distance God is willing to take you! Be blessed!❤
I feel I may have back slide and now everything I want to have control in, I no longer want too anymore. And now I know that's God telling me to finally give him everything and to put my faith in him once and for all. I refuse to be spit out by God so I want to try this time for sure to make sure I am for the Lord and things that don't serve him will just have to break away. I am standing with God ❤

Breeny you are blessed. I am 20 but I was born I christian, unfortunately I also have been a Luke warm for a long time, questioning every thing and not trusting God, I always thought being a Christian was a life of privation and pain so I tried to get my self the things that I wanted failing. recently I have been to a trip and I was feeling so happy and grateful for just being alive and I started thanking God for every thing, it just was so casual I can't explain it, then this video popped out and I realized that I was missing so much and life like a lukewarm is so hard. just ask God for the things that u need TODAY but most important love him unconditionally and be happy to be alive unconditionally, because that is what we need every day, loving him is the only thing that brings peace and love in your heart, no matter what happens to you.

↪️Don't ask to be used like a prostitute, God actually wants you first
↪️Go to God through the front door not the back door
↪️We believe in God but don't really trust in Him. Trusting God is trusting without knowing the timing.
↪️Give me Jesus and the Spirit, not another prosperity/motivation message
↪️You're always uncomfortable as a lukewarm Christian because being on a edge is uncomfortable. Love the tea example, saw it in war room movie.

You’re right. It’s not possible to be born a Christian or to be a Christian all our lives because then God giving us freewill would be a lie 😅 …parents want to force their children to be Christian and so we think we’re just born into it, but we have to personally ask Christ to come into our life as our Lord & personal saviour, repent and then be baptised! A baby cannot do that & a child wouldn’t fully understand what that even is 😅

Just off the last point about seeing someone who is hot for Christ, and being jealous, I think it's important to change the narrative and say that we have admiration or inspiration for that person to be hot for Christ again, not jealous of them.
You raise your kids in Christ and teach them the way they should go. Then, when they are old enough, they can choose for themselves if they want to continue or not. It gives them a good foundation

I can totally relate with you about not fully surrendering to God and how it has impacted my life for the worse. I disagree with letting kids decide not to go to church, that's not born a christian....going to church does not make you a Christian. A parent should guide their children. The word clearly says to train up a child in the way they should go. They need the experience. The parent needs to communicate that going to church won't save you. You're not a Christian until you confess and believe and give your heart to the Lord.

I definitely understand when you spoke on the prosperity preaching. I feel that’s at an all time high even today. I’m not connected to a lot of material because it just doesn’t have anointing or speak to my soul. I have to watch old videos of preachers when they spoke of Jesus and the revelation of the Bible. I need anointing and conviction lol…. It’s def a different time. Too many motivational messages but then again there’s something for everyone

Thanks for this video. I have lost a lot of friends in the last few years and it has sucked. I have never been without friends and it's really hard. I found I had a lot of to oc family and friends in my life and my Energy was not protected and I was exhausted with just all the gi e, give , go e and no one ever checked on me or even gave me respect enough to hear me when I had a problem. So I am planning to move. Hopefully to a place where I can start fresh and just like you said 'Go Hard' and make this my cocoon moment to be the best human I can be.
