  • Finally got the seal kit, time to replace the seals! Unexpected setback though, ended up replacing only a total of 3 seals, rest are old, because some of the seals in the kit did not match. Luckily 3 seals were all it took it fixed the problem :)

    Whenever you are taking apart something like that, I found it helps to use a sharpie marker to mark alignment then there is no guessing how it goes back together.

    Really interesting to see this job done. This one required a lot of mental strength and skill.

    Interesting to see the inside of a hydraulic motor! Always wondered what was in there. I know it was very frustrating to go thru all that trouble and time for a seal kit, and then find some parts weren't the right size. I can totally relate to that!

    Nice work, I think age will be the culprit with seals that crumble, if the case drain is plugged the pressure will force the oil into the chain case. I have seen hydraulic cylinders with little or no use blow out the seals. It would be wise to check the filters in the case drains, but I doubt that was the cause. Hope it all works well!👍😎

    Nice work! Looks like you have a great machine there 👍 I just bought an older Yanmar mini Excavator! It’s going to be really useful to have around my property. Take care my friend 🙂

    Just watched a guy "HowIdidit" do this same repair to his drive motor. He was very knowledgeable on the motor and showed in detail how to replace all the seals in the kit including giving torque specs. I believe you would find this helpful.

    Hi Ant, good video mate, just in case you are not aware, the higher the current rating of the battery you use with that impact driver the more powerful it will be, you should use at least five amps, you may be already I couldn't see, but just in case you are swearing at a tight nut but only using a 2 amp battery. I don't know if it is possible but if you could modulate your audio so that your voice commentary (which I much prefer) and your music are the same level it would be very nice. I have the audio set and the music comes on at a much higher level than is comfortable. I jump for the volume control and next your commentary comes on at a much lower volume than is clear. Back and forth back and forth..... I haven't noticed this as much on most of your other videos but this one is really that way. Enjoy the content.

      Yes i have done that now. Before rendering a video i have to reduce gain of any music by atleast 50% to make sure their kinda on the same level. Sorry 4 the incovinience.

    Now that im thinking about it, why was that odd-shaped seal so badly destroyed? My guess is that the case drain line was blocked somehow and overpressure killed the seal, any thoughts?

    Can I ask was the issue that your 751 would not turn left? I have a 751 that wont turn left but it goes strait back and right no problem, I am thinking I have to rebuild the same motor you did in order to fix.

    • @Ants_Pants
      @Ants_Pants  Před 2 lety

      Its easy to diagnose. Remove the motor from the machine and plug the case drain line or your hydraulic reservoir will empty itself. The bigger lines will stop leaking pretty fast. Then open the motor its only held together with 9 long bolts if i recall. And see in what condition the seals are. Takes about 30mins. To put back together you need a tourqe wrench though.

      le moteur n'avait pas de puissance de rotation car l'huile fuyait à travers le moteur plutôt que de le faire tourner.
