I find that you can get away with apc for a while but after some time more and more iron particles get stuck to the rim which the apc struggles to remove. At some point wheel acid or iron remover is needed to remove those imo. Looking forwards to the interesting series!
50/50 super clean will eat through pretty much anything. The stuff is great. I find myself blowing through wheel cleaners claiming to be better for 10x the cost and work just as well as super clean.
He double diluted when he sprayed water on the wheel, the surfactants now have to get thru the water first, but what do I know, I only sell carwash chemicals for a living...

Who uses Superclean at 10:1 for wheels though and why did you further dilute by rinsing the wheel 1st? If you use the proper dilution ratio for the job there is no need to rinse the wheel 1st and most detailers use 4:1 or 5:1 Superclean for wheels. I know you said not to get caught up about the ratio but nobody uses 10:1 on dirty wheels and further diluting it by rinsing introduces an unneeded variable. It's better to test a realistic ratio under proper conditions IMO. Still appreciate your videos though. The fact that you do it on typical customer vehicles and aren't a shill keeps me watching. I look forward to the future dilution ratio tests. I've not used the Adams stuff but Superclean is just as effective as Megs wheel brightener with the correct dilution for the job (at least in my world).
Detail Groove, keep up the videos man. I’ve learned a lot of good things from you and it’s taught me that it’s really not as hard as it’s set out to be. Other detailers are using multiple step processes and by watching you, you do it the way less difficult way and get similar results. I work at a Toyota dealership in Nebraska and work in the detail department only making 50$ per car while being as intricate as I see you. I know the time to money ratio is off but I always find myself trying to work for perfection and losing money per hour I’m spending on the same car. Comparing APCs to APCs or fallout removing wheel cleaners to other fallout removing wheel cleaners is a fair comparison, but APC vs fallout removing wheel cleaners or in this case, diluted APC vs full strength fallout removing wheel cleaner, is not a fair comparison. As the saying goes, it’s like comparing apples against oranges. Comparison testing is great as a concept but please make sure the methodology applied are fair, so your conclusions are not misleading.
Gonna use Canadian dollar prices for the comparison. Adam's Wheel Cleaner sells for 80$ in Canada, and Superclean sells for 25$ for the gallon. Would have been nice to see it used full strength since it already has a major price advantage on Adam's. In my experience, Superclean is not as good a cleaner as Meguiar's products. In order to get the same result I get from Meg's APC+ at 10:1. I need to use Superclean at 5:1. Still, the fact you can get it locally and sometimes on sale at 18$ per gallon makes it a good product to use. I think you would have gotten about the same result from Superclean as Adam's if you did not dilute it that much. Also you mention you use it 10:1, if you have to do the work twice to save a few pennies, is that really the best way? A quart of Superclean at 3:1 would cost you almost nothing in the USA. I have seen people say it sells for less than 10$ a gallon. So diluted 3:1 it would cost you less than 75 cents per quart... not worth doing the work twice to save on that.... at least for me.

Think Both products do the same end result, as they do the same thing. I think what really makes a difference is the efforts of agitating ( you do good job) barrels are a must. The splattering does suck but that red brush @ 7:27 looks like less spatter than cone brush. True? Thanks for the videos

You can but It's mostly labeling. You can use Super Clean (or any APC) diluted 4:1 for wheels and tires, 10:1 for leather and cloth, and 1:1 for engine cleanings. Or you can purchase a dedicated wheel cleaner, dedicated tire cleaner, dedicated leather cleaner, dedicated cloth cleaner, etc... Which will cost a lot more
Detail Groove it might cost more on product up front but for the time it takes to dilute and the extra effort to scrub the wheels,seat, and carpets will make you lose money also. Buy the better products for the jobs and it will make more money in the long run. Once you remove most of the iron particles off the face and barrels of the wheels it will stay cleaner longer and easier to clean the next time.
I would rather use the Adam's Wheel Cleaner than Super Clean for the simple fact that you dont have to dilute something that is very strong and concentrated and risking of damaging someone's property.
You're comparing an APC/Degreaser to a dedicated wheel cleaner with Iron removal. Comparing apples to oranges to me. The Super clean side will still have iron contaminants in the paint after all of this.
For the price, I'm giving it to the Super clean. For regular DIYers, if I cannot get it totally clean on the 1st try, I'd wait for the next car wash and hit it again with Super clean. For professionals, I say Adam's is better one.
How do you know that it wasn’t the different brushes that made the difference? When chemical testing you only allow one variable, the chemical. Otherwise you could’ve achieved those results for any number of reasons.

Will super clean diluted 4:1 mess up my 2007 Nissan Altima rims? Also rinsing has slightly diluted the wheel cleaners even more. Trying doing a test by spraying on a dry wheel.
Positive Vibes i spray full strength super clean on many wheels works great. Just make sure your clear coat on the wheels is not flaking/ failing. I’ve had SC eat away at a trashed wheel with no clear left, painted surface came right off. This is a very extreme case tho.

So diluting it 10:1, you have a super clean solution of about 0.5% caustic power. I do not know about the Adams but you said Adams was an APC? A degreaser and APC have different chemistries. Both perform fairly close but active ingredients are different and that is what makes it a degreaser or APC. So if Adams is an APC, then I do not think you are comparing apples to bananas. No good.

I've used Super Clean at about 5 to 1. Works really well with some srubing. And alot cheaper

i mix super clena 4/1 with a little dish soap and i use a clorox foaming bottle so it clings and doesn't all just run away then agitate.
Nice tip! Happened to have a bottle of Foaming Clorox that i'll have to remember and save the empty bottle.
I used to pressure wash houses and that's what we did with the chlorine water and it works well

Sneaky guy...use a nylon bristle brush with the Super Cean and a brass brush with the Adams. Results are only slightly misleading.

Super clean has a ph level of 12 full strength, for 10$ and you can diluted in different ways for different things I think it’s by far the winner

Try Super Clean Aerosol can. Amazing on rims and tires. Foams much more, increasing dwell time. My go to cleaner, hands down !
