  • Very simple fully floating cnc dust shoe, the simple dust shoe fitting and the linear drawer slides, needs no tools to fit or adjust, the slides mean the dust shoe is always in very light contact with the wood surface irrespective of the router depth, which allows the brushes to easily glide over clamps etc.
Total cost was around £25, approx $30. All in and a little time.

I love this "floating" design much more than the alternatives I've seen which tend to result in either compressing bristles or adding the complication and expense of another CNC-controlled axis.

Thankyou, to be honest it works way better than I initially thought it would when used there is very little to no dust. I now use another neodymium magnet to hold the shoe and holder at the top when changing bits. And the really cheap digital caliper/ vernier which I thought might not really be useful but nice to have,is invaluable now when changing bits and getting the height as previous bit
