Great reaction! The 'Criminal' MV theme is actually about Stockholm syndrome, and Taemin was the one who came up with it, lol. He was quite involved in the production, from the choreo to choosing the director and working quite closely on the direction and editing!

@@babesbassbats3652 Taemin has mentioned more than once that he'd continue to use themes that may be heavier and music that may not be public friendly, but sensual, darker themes seem to be where he's most comfortable in both his life and art, so it's really a win for both the artist Taemin and his fans, lol. In the 'Criminal' MV, he plays both the villain and the victim, and the victim slowly becoming the villain... He's considered groundbreaking in kpop, and you've clearly touched on why. I personally love how he shows vulnerability so openly in both his voice and his videos - not really common in the genre, I feel.

I know this video is a year old now but I wanted to thank you for taking about the BDSM aspects of this song. You’re the first educated people who have broached the subject in a reaction and I really appreciated it.

As you can see he is big fan of MJ as an artist especially as a dancer combining his own moves along with some choreography of his very good friend world famous japanese choreographer Koharu Sugawara who probably had a hand in his dance which you will see allot of if you choose to continue to learn more of Taemin (THE ACE OF ALL THE ARTISTS) that have debuted after him. He has done something that is very hard to achieve in the music & entertainment world is that he was able to stay extremely well-grounded & humble along with his brothers SHINee throughout his career who became role model to so many artists and fans. Taemin continues to achieve so much in his lifetime at the age of 26 years old (27 yrs old in korean age) and he will soon probably within 1 or 2 years before facing required military service which sucks for fans who have to wait for at least 1 1/2 to 2 years for them to return.
