Charlie is one naive, but likeable, groovy 70's teenager wearing those groovy 70's threads. If you weren't born in the generation that grew up watching this show every Friday night at 8, it's like a time-warp nostalgic blast to the past.....

I'm around the same age as Susan Olsen in real life and I hated how dumb they made her and Bobby. The Partridge show had Danny Bonaduce also close in age he was so much cooler as he was made to look smarter than the adults.
It just goes to show that the saying "Something Suddenly Came Up" can be used against you as well as someone else. What goes around comes around. As far as Charlie is concerned, he was the only one who was't concerned about material matters and liked the person for what they were,regardless of what your nose looks like! I liked his role.

Perhaps the biggest disaster ever covered by American television. I remember where I was and what I was doing that evening. I went into mourning and literally cried for days on end.
The difference was that movie Doug still went out with Marcia despite her swollen nose. While TV Doug simply dumped her the second he saw her nose! I'm not sure which Doug was more of a creep because movie Doug just wanted to get into Marcia's pants. I'm not sure what TV Doug's intentions were.

At about 1:33 as the girls wake up you can see they sleep all night basically in the same neat orderly tidy fashion. Bathrobe dropped atop bedspread, bedspread turned down to cover mostly feet only, and pink blanket only to keep warm during the night. The reason I think this is funny is because if you grew up in a household with girls you’d know that’s completely not how it would be in real life. There would be varying degrees of tidiness and messiness and at least one of those girls would probably have knocked bathrobe and bedspread onto the floor during the night. Yes I grew up with sisters.
It's often easier to use non-minors as actors for characters that are minors because child labor laws get in the way of shooting time. You can only have a kid on set for like 5 hours a day or something.
