What outside of a db test could they possibly nail you for? And even then, the DB test ought to easily be contested. So many variables that play into noise.
state of Wi. DNR came up with a db test, do not quote me on this it was 2 years ago, it was 4 feet up- 12 feet away- at 4000 rpm. you had to be under a certain db, i think it was 89, or you got a ticket. they were checking everyone that sounded modified. a firecat 700 with a can got checked right after us, failed, and got a ticket.
@@jasonpalka9060 Sounds like something you could contest in court, but wouldn't be worth it. You'll see all sorts of shenanigans at race tracks with dB limits. It's a BS test with too many variables out in the field to be concrete. Sounds like a money grab. Also a good thing to be aware of.
Care to share what clutching your running? I have a 1025 crankshop and do 1320 radar running and just looking for any improvements. Cant find much info in these big block crankshops. Any helps is appreciated!
our set up will not help you out as we are set up for 660' snow drags. i would try 286 ramps, start at 21 gram pin weight, 230-380 primary spring, 50 degree helix with a goodwin blue spring, and stock 26-43 gearing since you are running 1320'. once again these are all estimates but it should get you in the ball park. are you running an airbox?
Thanks for the reply, thats basically what I am running now except I have a 50-47 helix at about 21 pounds or so. No air box just K an N filters. My best speed with a 1 inch track stock ride height and carbide studs was 119 in 1320. Are you on dootalk? Beautiful collection of machs by the way!
Had a 2001, it was a fast sombitch when it ran blew it up three times in the first month as brand new one time it melted a piston while ideling to warm it up that was the last time got rid of that poor thing
@@jasonpalka9060 oh I agree the dealership gave me all the sale price back, and I walked out with a 700 legend,,but as for raw power nothing was like the Mach z,it was arm stretching scary fast

119 is pretty good, I am not on doo talk, thank you for the kind words.

definitely sounds like you had an issue with a lemon. we have not had any piston problems and have a ton of trouble free miles on our z's.

You do 2001 ski doo mxz crank rebuilds or is that a sponser?
crank shop is a performance shop in VT. we have our crank rebuilds done at crank works in AZ.
@@jasonpalka9060why no oil tank. That is weird. No oil you will burn up
Your pistons.
the big sleds are pre-mix only!
@@jasonpalka9060 what are you using for gas and oil. I only use oil injection on my zrt. 600 and 800. The oil I use is amsoil
@@jasonpalka9060 Thanks a lot for that info!
