- New York Giants rookie minicamp took place over the weekend and in today’s NY Giants CZcams video we take a look at the biggest winners and losers. Malik Nabers, in limited reps, showed why he was selected #6 overall in the 2024 NFL Draft. Other winners included Andru Phillips, Theo Johnson and Elijah Chatman who the Giants signed to their 90 man roster after being invited to rookie minicamp. Giants rookie minicamp losers include Aaron Robinson who remains hurt, Tre Hawkins III and Lawrence Cager. Not true. We only had two receiving TEs , Waller and Bellinger. One injury to either of these guys and you lose a bunch of opportunities in the playbook. Waller might retire but I don’t Theo was the nail in the coffin so to speak

McCloud will be the CB2, Flott has not played the outside. Not sure why they drafted another slot corner when we need outside help. And don't get me started on last year starting 2 rookies at corner. That is pathetic by the coaching staff to start Tre Hawkins that is all on them. We as Giants fans always jump on the band wagon when they make moves, but if you really look at some of the moves the last few years they have been bad. Evan Neal, top 10 pick, Mark Glowinski (where is he now), Parris Campbell, Josh Ezudu, Marcus Mckethan. Wandale Robinson 2nd rd, passed up on George Pickens. These are just a few, go look at teams that drafted starting players in rounds 5 and after the last few years you never see any Giants on that list. Micah Mcfadden possibly but he still has a lot to prove. PFF just graded us the worst OL again for 2024 even after all the Fa moves the Giants made. And how about how they handled Danield Jones, paying him 40 million for someone that has never threw over 20 TD passes. DJ does not throw the ball down the field, the offense is horrible. I am a frustrated Giants Fan who just wants to see somewhat of a functional offense.

Great job Marshall in evaluating these rookies. Just by their deamenor and comments you see how Joe Schoen comes up with his selection process. Tyler Nubin is a keeper too. His modesty and pregame preparation is off the charts. As for Aaron Robinson he was not drafted by this regime and is as good as gone,

Why you guys always putting Flott as a slot starter? In 2022 Flott played a majority of his snaps on the sides. He’s going to be the CB2. Dru will be the starting slot.

So obvious Waller is gone. I liked him but it became clear his heart wasn't in it like it needed to be. They are just waiting for June 1st? to get rid of him.
