Dam bubba can ride..I saw him at the RCA dome in Indianapolis in the early 2000s..he's one of the smoothest riders I've ever seen..and I've seen nearly 20yrs of supercross in Indy
watch his throttle control 2:38 in slow motion. also before that he jumps into the berm with no fingers on the front brake lever, also he dont use back brake either, he uses the engine to slow him down or faster whenever he want! awesome!
@socafan22 Yamaha was the leader in 4stroke technology for a while, and if not still. They were one of the few 4t companys that didnt have valve problems left and right, although most of those vavle problems were due to riding on incorrect clearance. As for Yamaha being the leader in 2stroke technology, I think that back in its hayday, everyones 2 strokes were neck to neck. The point i was trying to make about KTM is that while most other companies are dropping 2t, they are thriving on it.
@socafan22 That may be so, but what about KTM? They are the leader in 2t tech, since everyone has started dropping or rapidly decreasing the production of 2 strokes. Factory riders are still riding their 4 stroke bikes, even when they are thriving off of 2 stroke production.
@Baragon540 I agree things are easier in the air but changing gears on the ground is easier under certain conditions. yea riding a super rutted and rough track would be easier to change gears in the air but most supercross tracks dont get that way.its all perspective I guess
@rewindcaz yeah, sure he has a fast pace, but there is little chance that he will be able to keep that up all season, reed is going to come out swinging
@patrickstar1o travis will always be my favorite dirtbike rider. period. He's just an all around great guy. Ive never seen him mad or cocky or anything. Hes always smiling and nice to everyone!
@crfC93 i just didn't realize it was a joke. and I'm not serious or was trying to insult anyone, supercross is also just mostly in the US and was created there and i dont know what country you are from so maybe you didn't know anything about SX or not. I guess everything has been sorted out now though, right?
@crfC93 hes not landing nose heavy, he is landing with the front tire down cuz its better for supercross. and I don't care what type of bike people ride, its the rider. and James Stewart has that basic style for supercross which works best in almost all supercross style.
@plazzax You say it like it is hard, haha. I normally do it when I do no-footers at the end of a race. Downshift to slow down and get the hell off the track.
How is "air shifting" getting so many thumbs up? Thats when its easiest. You have time to breathe, think, and read the terrain. On the ground you have every aspect of motocross attacking you, and id give alot more credit to the vid if I got to see J.S. dragging the front brake while shifting out of a corner. Thats where he shines. No man alive can carry corner speed like James. Now if he could just keep it on 2 wheels and complete a season...
yella saying he's THE best is a preety bold statement when he can't have any claim to that title.......The goat most likely will have that title on lock for a while......and MC will probably keep his king of supercross title for a while just the same......boys got mad talent but he just can't make all work at one time.
Stewart is the most amazing rider to watch hands down
i wish i could meet james and watch him ride.that would make my life.hes my all time favorite ridr.i want to meet him so bad.
11 Years later this pops into my recommend
Incredible driving style. The lightness and precision.
In another universe, James Stewart is a 4 time supercross champion with over 60 supercross wins
🫡was just thinkin the same this morning but not many wanna recognize
Those whoops are nasty. Amazing to see someone make it look so easy
LOVE THE BIKE
Dam bubba can ride..I saw him at the RCA dome in Indianapolis in the early 2000s..he's one of the smoothest riders I've ever seen..and I've seen nearly 20yrs of supercross in Indy
He owned that track!
watch his throttle control 2:38 in slow motion. also before that he jumps into the berm with no fingers on the front brake lever, also he dont use back brake either, he uses the engine to slow him down or faster whenever he want! awesome!
If you watch closely you can watch his throttle input over each whoop.....crazy
SICK! thanks for the vid racer x!
@NeRvExNaTiOn
No, you use the rear brake to drop the front end in the air, not the front brake.
that last rhythm sections was F**$#*$ nuts

fastest rider on the planet no doubt...cant wait to watch the phoenix race
@rewindcaz yeah, sure he has a fast pace, but there is little chance that he will be able to keep that up all season, reed is going to come out swinging
Stewart WAS a master at whoops.
@stevierandom1 this is the Yamaha supercross track, not his home track
@patrickstar1o travis will always be my favorite dirtbike rider. period. He's just an all around great guy. Ive never seen him mad or cocky or anything. Hes always smiling and nice to everyone!
