You guys are missing the boat on the TMP. Last big update made it seriously legit.
TMP needs to be in the modeller conversation.. it’s climbing .. still a way to go but it’s really satisfying to use and has good feel.
Metal is not my thing, but the Friedman models on Axe Fx 3 are so so good.
Jon has got to learn that Kemper is the best and we don't criticize it here in the ToneJunkie world! 😤
We just find new ways to praise it. 🙏
Haha... I agree!
This might be a dumb question, but what is stopping a genius programmer from making a universal capture player that can load captures/profiles from all the units? I can’t imagine that’s impossible?
Neural amp modeler is the closest we have so far
The more gain you have the less bass you need.
Periphery uses fractal
just recently i started using just the amp models on tonex into the fx return of my revv d20 into a marshall 4x12 cab and my lord.... the high gain stuff is by far the best sounding and feeling models ive ever played. . its opened a whole new world for me
QC Native and AxeFx Native would be bomb
ya'll should check out the new two notes Genome. Sounds awesome.
I've played it - pretty impressive!
I've been enjoying the simplicity of the Boss IR 200 on my board, but now I am gonna try tonex one in front of it for more amps, and utilize the IR200's effects loop and load cabs there. plus running the HX one in 4CM. fun stuff!
Really digging my helix oblivion patch right now I think that amp needs to be looked at
Jonathan.
Your two buddies are obsessed with ToneX and QC.
Tell Christophe it's time for Kemper 2.
Even though Kemper is still #1.
More metal bands tour with Kempers than any other digital box.
@@guitartoneSAyeah whenever I’m at a metal show I’ve always seen a Kemper rack based on the lights I can see off stage.
Tonex native sounds great when writing/recording but the feel is off imo. Fractal nailed the feel imo but I don’t like the 2k-3k area of the Fractal. It kinda sounds pixelated if that makes any sense. I see Neural ruling them all in 10 years. I believe line 6 will become the Kmart of tone.
Kemper is fine on the low end. I’m switching from tube 50/50 four 12 ceramic to tube 20/20 2x10 Alnico to get rid of low end. Mids baby, mids! Mids and Alnico treble!
Love this Content HW!!!
No contest at all. NAM is the best.
Metal Junkie!!!! Sooze will be a Metal head soon.
I had the helix and have the fm3 turbo. I like the fm3 If Metallica can use it Then I definitely can.
The only thing that matters is Kemper!!
I know they are debating the best, but you have take the price into count. The ToneX is so affordable and the software is AMAZING
Thats the big thing. ToneX is so versatile as well you can buy the big pedal and 2 small pedals cheaper than the alternatives and have a ton of variance to use in different scenarios AND have room for favorite pedals that might be harder to model. And all cheaper than a quad cortex. And you can pay to upgrade amplitude to max for what 100 bucks after you buy the tonex? Just opens a universe up to you for way cheaper.
Just sold off my Fractal setup and still have the TMP, Helix and Headrush but I am coming back to the Kemper for the reverbs and delays. They just sound so good. My only issue with the Kemper drive is it just can't get loud enough to match the volume of my clean tone. Would love to hear your thoughts or solutions.
Try lowering the gain on the amp and pushing the volume up on the Kemper Drive. Sometimes the Kemper will limit what's coming into it when the amp gain is set too high.
YOU GUYS just have to run to the music store and get new "plastic" TONE KNOBS !!!!!!
Man !!!
Since I changed my tone knobs, I have better tone then any of you can even imagine !!!!!!
Nobody beats the beast !!!!!
Nobody !!!!!
I race for titles !!!!!!
So...
Go on...
Git yer fancy hundred thousand dollar pedal boards with computer cartridges, like Atari.
You think yer better then me at combat tank pong ???
Yer still dreamin !!!!!
You can only fool yourself how many times ?
Exactly !!!
Tone is in the knob, and that knob, my fellow sweat hearts, is at the music store up da mall !!!!
Celebrate Authority,
Question Diversity !!!
🤔
Great video !!!!!
Have a wonderful day !
😁👍🎶❤️
Curious why Sooze doesn’t care for QC?? Models, captures, fx, workflow??
All of the above really. I feel like the amp models are fairly limited compared to Fractal/Helix or even ToneX captures. The FX are not my favorite, and there isn't a TON of variety, again when comparing with Fractal (which is just insane) and even all the variety of mods/trems/delays/verbs you get from Helix. I do love the app though - works great and is the most beautiful to look at of any modeler. Overall, I just don't jive with the vibe of the unit and it still feels "new" and a bit underdeveloped or under supported.
@@thesoozeTJ thanks for the reply! I was tempted to go QC with latest PCOM announcement… I have been using two ToneX ones and pedals, but an all-in-one unit is appealing… maybe I’ll use an FM3 for FX with my ToneX ones for amps? 🧐
@@taylormesa FM3 would sound good, but would it have enough buttons?
@@thesoozeTJthat was my concern as well, so I was looking at Otter Custom Designs who make an add-on footswitch which looks awesome! But at that point, I should just go back to Kemper stage! 😅
@@taylormesa agreed! LOL
I like ToneJunkies a lot but yall give the TM Pro no love
We gave it a fair shake! Just wasn’t for us.
@@thesoozeTJ it has gotten much better after this last update. I also love ToneX 1
I work for a band that still uses load amps. I take pleasure in crushing the sound and souls of the modeling users we play with. Haha.
You're lying.
@@guitartoneSA prove it.
@@gelderlandproduction
Plug a Powered Kemper into a 4x12.
Mic up the 4x12 and also DI from the Kemper to FOH, mix the two, and then compare to your amps.
@@guitartoneSA Why didn't you just say that instead of coming across as a jerk? Not to mention, it's ALL subjective.
To complete the visual of you three hens cackling bout amp modelers how bout you take your little gtr buddies show down to the beauty shop sitting under the hair dryers?
