"Den' Pobedy" (Russian: День Победы, English: Victory Day) ranks among the most popular in the large corpus of Russian songs devoted to the Second World War. The song refers to the Victory Day (9 May) celebration and differs from most of these by its cheerful intonations of a marching song and by the fact that it was composed by David Tukhmanov some thirty years after the war. In the words of Vladimir Kharitonov, a veteran lyricist, "the song seemed to have turned back the time. Although written three decades after the war, it now seems that it was this song that helped us to gain the victory".

I gotta admit, although that this is a very muffled/echoey version. This is a very powerful, hauntingly beautiful, and loud one (especially at the very end on where they just scream the lyrics, and it's almost like as if this song was being sung by the millions of Soviet souls that were lost during the war, pretty nice). Now I'm incredibly late for celebrating Victory Day, but just God Bless the 27 million Soviets that died to save the world from the brown fascist plague. Massive respect from a Marxist Filipino here ❤

The church historically backed all of the worst regimes to maintain their own power. It's in that context that the reds opposed the church.. because they were part of the state.. but Stalin brought the churches back.. Around the world, marxists are often extremely religious and often in opposition to the libertine materialist "anything goes" ethos of big business and they resent their countries being prostitutes for western businessmen. The alliance between big business and social conservatism in America is not that old.. it only really took shape in the 1950s, and it's an electioneering fake posture, like everything else about liberalism. it's not sincere and never has been. The people who present themselves as agents of god and family men in the west are usually libertine degenerates in real life off-camera. It's the communists who consistently abolish prostitution while the capitalists administer and operate their global sex trafficking rings. That's the difference between fake platitudes and real-world actions.
