- No need for an introduction to In Flames among death metal fans: Formed in 1990, this Swedish melodic death metal group were among the first to incorporate keyboards to widen the scope of their sound, blowing open the gates of Valhalla and chewing up genres. Swedish death metal had been born. Witness their majestically feral set at Summer Breeze 2023.

play jotun you cowards!
they’ve really made a monster comeback as of late. killer new album, sounding ridiculously good live lately. so happy for them
Yeah, they're like prime right now. Pretty amazing to watch. Hope I can see them live again soon.
They were never gone, but in the mid 00's to mid 10's, they were out getting new fans aboard the fan train, before returning a bit to the roots, in terms of their musical style.
@@easterdm Well, with the exception of his cleans... He is clearly extremely stuggling to sing even a single word with his clean voice these days. Something that was a standout quality throughout their actual prime in the early 2000s. Rest sounds great, true, but is is just not the same when he replaces 95% of the cleans with growls and screams because its the only things he can do these days.
yeah, good point@@Equilibrium2903
@@Equilibrium2903Anders can’t win. People want more growls. He growls more. Then people want him to sing and complain about his growls. In Flames fans are the most insufferable metal fans only behind Metallica fans.
Anders is killing it with those vocals!!!
True dat, first time i hear them live and this is great!
This is the best he's sounded in years
I was going to comment about how bad his cleans were..... So disappointed in his range of cleans....
@@GimlraKwere willing to let that slide. Hes human and his harsh vocals are still sounding pretty damn good
Hn 😂
Dude whoever mixed this show should mix the next album… it sounds amazing :O
Yeah, you rarely get to hear these kind of sounds with tight playing like this
I was just about to make the same comment, man! The sound is PERFECT!
This is one of the best mixed shows I’ve found of theirs. Whichever dvd I have doesn’t even sound this good. Gojira brings the same guy they use in the studio on tour…. Their tone sounds like their albums, it’s ridiculous
I just wish I could turn it up louder!!!!! It’s so quiet 😢
Seriously. I watched Shadow of Intent's show they played here and the sound was awful. I wonder why
Anders sounds fantastic here. They killed it. IN FLAMES WE TRUST 🔥🔥
He improved immensely over the last few years. There were times his switches from growls to cleans and back were a struggle. All gone now, just bliss
@@alexeyvarfolomeev7211maybe we were listening to something different, but he still can't pull off the cleans at all live. If I'm wrong somewhere let me know
@@kqh123 i cant disagree that he still struggles with his cleans. But a few years back his extremes were horrendous. I mean, he wasn't doing growls anymore. Now he's back to the roots and that makes me happy
They're sounding incredible live nowadays.
In Flames has gotten better than ever! Especially vocal wise......I love to see progress!
Anders sings so great! I think Björn plays the guitar better than ever too, so f*kin clean and tight, top notch. Chris is one hell of guitarplayer so no suprise there hehe.
This band have always sound amazing live, tells alot about their musicality and sense of attracting skilled crew members.
Remember when I watched them the first time, had listen to them like a maniac and should finally watch them preform live. The crowed was not bigger than 150 people, but we jumped and headbanged the shit out of ourself the entire show. Every singel metric mile to Gatufesten in Sundsvall was so worth it (norr över så det blev en ganska lång tur med tvåförtion från dalarna).
This was like 20 years ago. I think their latest album was Reroute to Remain then. Omg I would like to relive that show.
Yeah Anders sounds good un every concert in recent times.
Honestly, to come back to this level having drifted for so long is so impressive - the band sound incredible. Props to the people who mixed this too!
These guys definitely got their fire back ( pun intended), also getting Chris Broderick as a full-time guitar player in the band, was a great move.
I was 14 when I first listened to The Whoracle... I'm 43 today and In Flames still lives in my heart. You guys are great and majestic!
How have you been able to listen to Whoracle in 1994?
Yea im 42 lol and kinda more excited to see this than the "Pantera" tribute.
Bruh I was lunar strain/subterranean when I was fetus haha@@Oleksa_Jotun
the same... im 41 😁
Jester Race is pure power, my favorite album ever!
Man, they go hard live. Seeing them soon live too. Can't wait
I will see them next week in Japan
I can’t wait too
Oh wow Karl, so happy to find you in the comment section here haha!
I think you're talking about Bangalore Open Air, right...
I'll be there too, damn so excited to see them and hopefully you too! Cheers! :)
@@Kitaoka-sadoru have my ticket for Osaka! Cant wait
I am seeing them in Huntsville in may for the first time ever seeing them live i am also doing VIP for the first time ever I am excited I love going to concerts.
@@frenchexpat5601 ah so I guess you already enjoyed them live!
I envy you!
I will see them at Friday in Tokyo!
they are good live, unexpectedly good!
@@adrianacev7579 I've listened to them since 1998 and witnessed plenty of shitty live gigs.
I saw them last year and they had the best live sound I've heard in a metal concert. This mix is superb and does justice to the show I remember.
Long live these guys.
That bass player is an absolute powerhouse what a gem!
That's TDEP's bassist if I'm not mistaken
Yeah Liam Wilson … he’s a animal
Hope he stays!
Came to find this comment.... He's a fuckin monster and I can hear him clearly in the mix!!
Anders sounding better on songs from the nineties than the new ones is quite refreshing
f@ck...really ;)
its like he suddenly remembered he was a really good screamer before learned to sing
@@TheBloobsterunfortunately he can't sing live. Listen to those cleans!
@@kqh123 I'm guessing his vocal chords are somewhat shot due to the screaming technique he used when he was younger, or he just doesn't practice his cleans that much 🤷♀ - also possible that singing like that live going from cleans to screams constantly is just ridiculously hard
@@Allan_Stone possibly all of the above
Anders voice is killing it nowadays!!
It's been a long time since I've listened to the band. Anders sounding better then ever, and it just hit me that Chris Broderick is playing the older shred solos that seemed avoided for years. That makes me happy. Nice mix of classic songs and newer stuff. The band is sounding great again 😁
I saw the headstock of a Soloist guitar, that's how i recognized Chris Broderick :D, I had forgotten he now plays in the band and I must say that's great!

So glad their back after few years in turbulence. Anders sounds sooo good, respect. New album is great also, thanks guys!
I wish they were coming to Portland again. I might have to make the trip to Seattle this year. They are on fire right now (no pun intended).
Why was their back in turbulence?
I mean even though most of the original lineup left over 10-15 years ago, theyve still bee pretty popular and playing big tours for over a decade since the split, i think theve been ok
Just came back to this... still remember the euphoric feeling of standing in the 5th row or something. Must've been one of the happiest moments of my life.
Haven't been listening to In Flames for some time now but damn they are better then ever. Anders voice has improved so much - surprisingly impressive.
I was there. They were AMAZING! I waited 20 years from first hearing Pinball Map to seeing them live for the first time. When they played it I almost cried. They sounded absolutely incredible.
Anders has been sounding great lately
I love when they do these festivals with their dude on the keyboards/samples/backing/etc/I don’t know what I’m talking about. I just like when that guys plays with em. Makes it even more authentic
I understood every single word/point/concept you made, my friend!
Me too bro
The Hive ,Behind Space
🤩🔥🤘🏻
What an insane performance of Darker Times, I think this is the first tour they play it live, one of my faves. And every instrument sounds so clean, very nicely recorded as well, thank you very much.
Absolutely crazy, goosebumps everywhere!!!
Chris Broderick The fast and clean Guitarrist, amazing.
I was at this festival, absolutely amazing. They rocked the main stage producing a show that exceeded my already high expectations. Superb live band, they have never let me down.
Me too
Sonzera!! 🇧🇷 Greetings from Brazil
Insano demais, Chris Broderick adicionou muito pra banda, o último álbum foi foda, e quando o bixo sola, ele é muito limpo, o desgramado é um gênio.
Porra! BRASA que curte INFLAMES é outro patamar!
@@Liduin0 tmj, mano! 👊🏻
This is wonderfully mixed. Bass is nice and high in the mix, I love it!
Crazy that in flames still uses miced up guitars, instead of digital amp modelers like most in their genre. They’re so tight sounding that it sounds like amp modeling. Props to them + their sound people. They sound so good
I respect them for this 🤘🏻
Source? There're no any amps on the stage. Also In Flames is the least possible band to stick to analogue because they've used 5150s which is emulated by basically everything in the world now.
Behind Space - alltime fav. Memories!
I never dream that Chris Broderick and Liam Wilson would ever be in the same band.
i still remember the day Whoracle album was out. it was a mind-blowing album. it is nice to hear they are playing songs from it
Easily the best full-length they ever did.
@@mysticsaxophone4181 I can see that but I think Clayman takes the #1 spot and Whoracle a close #2
A flawless performance from the masters🙌🏽🙌🏽
Best show at Summer breeze 2023. Anders had good voice. Other musicians played well. Set list was amazing.
Something about the pandemic made in flames kick everything up a notch. They were never bad by any means, but I just feel like they are in such good form now.
Too bad the total overreaction to a plandemic killed people, businesses and livelihoods worldwide for profit to those that enabled it. So long as In Flames sounds tighter.
We can thank the halo effect for relighting the fire for them lol
Exactly what I think. Anders' growls on old stuff tbh sounds better than back then. Would love them to rerecord sth
10/10 for sound. Christ its album quality.
Bjorn is so goddamned underrated I love every single one of his riffs
He sounds better now than he did in the 00s
Bjorn so unique and authentic guitarist....
Great warm-up for their show in Brazil in November ❤
their music changed my life
The very first album we never forget.
I remember back in 2003 listening to reroute to remain. That was love at first sight. At least at first hearing. After that I start to research all of their stuff. Never stop listening since then. Whoever mixed the audio and edited, you are a fking legend! Thanks for this.
I wish they'd still play My Sweet Shadow. Miss that song & the fireworks...
his vocals and just everything else...brutally al dente.. wowzy
❤ full. Alive. Very very GREAT
In flames we trust... long time ago.........❤
Saw them in 2014 in Texas. Small venue and I was literally right off of the stage. It felt like they were playing in my living room. One of the best shows I've ever been to and I will never forget it. Professional is the word I use to describe them to other people. Their sound was unbelievably on point. Their playing was spot on. Anders was amazing, I was blown away. They sound so sick live.
Great show. The band and viewers or vice versa.....?
I am looking forward to the autumn concert in Prague.
Anders voice has never been this good. They're definitely back.
This lineup sounds awesome.
The best sounding and live performance to date. You guys killed it!!!!!
The HIve guys!!! like the good old days, awesome!
Can’t wait to see them in May 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
So, so, so damn happy to see In Flames an Arch Enemy live october 2024! 💪🏻🖤🤘🏻
Ooo, where? I’m going too! Sunday the 6th in London! It’s gonna be WILD
the live mix is perfect! anders sounds great!!!
I freaking love In Flames and the live crowd of summer breeze 2023. This is as close as i will get to seeing them perform live.
I was there what an amazing show, thank you very much guys
Thanks for posting this. IN FLAMES WE TRUST!
wow! andreas voice is getting better!
Another AMAZING show! It is fucking amazing to have watched these guys evolve over the years. "Take this life" has been one of my favorite songs for over a decade and sounds amazing every time they play it live!!
My favorite band for the past 24 years 🤘🤘🔥🔥💚 and they will always be, they sound phenomenal! Can’t wait to see them later this year in the States!
IN FLAMES is without a shadow of a doubt an extremely fucking badass live band and Metal band!!!
I've only seen them once in a small venue in Pittsburgh Pa USA w/ALL THAT REMAINS and THE UNCURED (i think that was their name)
I absolutely luv this band been listening to them for years never disappoint
This footage is fantastic, God bless in flames 🔥!!!!!
One of the greatest live perfomance ever that i have listened, and a im as metal guy since my 11's, now i asm 45. hugh from Argentina, In Flames we Trust.
Thank's for "Hive". I love that they play old songs
Wow!!!!! Such a great mix!!!!) bravo sound engineer!!
wowwwwww ... just a beasssssst on the vocals... and that new album. Just BADASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
They all sound SO GOOD!! love it. Would have loved to see Meet Your Maker in the set list. Killer job, fellas 🤘♥️🤘
Absolutely FANTASTIC set. Anders' voice on point. I remember the first time I saw these guys alongside a VERY early Gojira. Good times!
Me to. It was in the AB in Belgium. Gojira where so little back then, but so damn good
This sound is AMAZING!!!
Thanks for uploading. I wish Anders could sing his cleans 😢
They are really good in his songs. Once they show up live he could really show out on songs like Here Until Forever and Pure Light of Mind
Amazing show! They sound incredible. New album is ridiculously good.
Merci Arte, pour la petite baffe et un mix super
Merci d'être toujours présent sur les concerts et les festivals, et de nous en faire profiter !
That sound ❤! Behind space + the Hive just amazing !
Liam on the bass 🔥🔥
It crushes me that I have yet to see In Flames in concert... Next time they are within a couple hundred miles from me, I will make it a point to check it out.. This just solidifies what a killer live band they are!
Great mixing! In flames 🔥 🤘🏽
Excellent show, it looks like Anders had worked on his voice because he sounds so good live
Greetings guys from Pittsburgh Pa USA
Cloud Connected was epic...what a crowd 🤘
Bad ass dude! Thanks for uploading!
Great, creative, and fierce stage lighting. It was also a blast. Thank you so much for this, In Flames and ARTE Concert!
Dang they do sound good. And they have Liam from Dillinger on bass?! Think I'll be going to their show with Meshuggah
Watched them at Bloodstock Open Air in the U.K this year and they were awesome, I was in the front barrier, what unforgettable experience! Bjork shredded, love his guitar play style😉🤘
You guys are on a roll. Another great upload 🔥🙏
Classical performance. Perfection in each and every moment!! 🤟🤘🤟
My god. This is beautiful!!!
Caralho! Que performance é essa de Darker times, Chris Broderick é insano demais velho, o cara é rapido e limpo, o in flames ao todo é insano, os cara arrebentaram nesse show.
Vamo no show deles no Brasil mano!
@@renanalves-mh9kz moro no RS, vai ter só em SP né .
I'm shocked at how I can listen to a band for over 25 years and still be amazed
Ganas de volverles a ver en Barakaldo….que grandes.❤❤
I had the privilege of seeing them last year and they are just such professionals, incredible energy, perfect timing. Amazing band
Крутые чуваки! Надеюсь когда-нибудь их вживую увидеть 🤘🏻
I've watched the live stream, such an awesome performance 🤘🤘🤘
Really great concert, thanks for sharing ❤
Un de mes groupes préférés dans les années 2000
on est bien d'accord... ce qu ils faisaent avant et donc ce qui les ont fait connaitre etait juste enorme. Maintenant c est tellement pourri... la voix j en parle meme pas...
What a sound from 😎🥰our ground 💪🏼 This is love
Can we just take a moment to thank everyone there for bringing intense clapmedia & intime at the intro part love the crowd involvement so good in flames at it again smashing it
They sound better than ever here, I can’t get over it. Long live In Flames!
