Good explanation. I just got mine today, and your video was much easier for me to follow than the instruction manual. I have a Hornady AP LnL, but am struggling to get the primer tool station to work... this is a good backup.
Thank you for this clear explanation
Good point about life, and good education on priming tool! Thanks!
Thanks Carol, I appreciate the encouragement.
Spend a little extra and get the Frankford Arsenal. I've had this RCBS for years and its not reliable. The plastic components wear and the primers will feed sideways. The two price insert under the shell holder doesn't hold the primer tray securely. I gave up and bought a all metal Frankford Arsenal and for now, it works much better and actually allows adjustment of primer seating depth. Pretty nice.
Thanks for the suggestion. Truth is that I do most of my priming "on press" so I don't use the tool too much. I'll keep it til it starts giving me problems and then I'll invest in the Frankford Arsenal. Appreciate the recommendation.
As to the end of your video..."Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-. I took the one less traveled by,..."
I have had this tool for several years the first few I had no problems, Now I have been having problems seating some primers, hard to seat and not square in primer pocket hole.
I think I will just go back to my RCBS bench primer tool, no problems.
Great video and great information
Thanks for a solid episode. This is a quirky hand primer. It's my go-to hand primer.
Kind words to live by - Thank you...
I did not realize there was a different priming tool option when I purchased the Universal Hand Primer. The Univ. version seems to have saved a ton of steps and time getting the device ready to load primers. Thank you for your good demonstration of the tool...and especially the good word following your demonstration. You helped me in two ways -- reinforced the fact that I did good in my selection of the Universal model, AND that I stayed clear through your demonstration to receive your message. I appreciate that!
Thanks for watching and for your kind comments
just buy two RCBS hand held priming tools. ✅ Problem solved !
Great video. Thanks. I have the same unit and have the same issues.
Thanks for the video. Big help. After a 25 year hiatus, I'm getting back into reloading, and digging out all my old tools. I found this hand held priming tool, but didn't know what to do with it. With your video, I've learned that I'm missing the white wedge (the black one is installed) and both of the priming rods. So, I guess I need to call them and ask to buy those parts.
Thanks for watching. Have fun getting back into reloading.
I called and told them what I was missing, how long it had been in storage, and they just asked my address so they could send them to me for free. That's customer service. :)
Good to know that RCBS has that kind of service. I've experienced similar things with Lee. Thanks@@therealhawkeyeii7888
Good video, I load and reload black powder 45 Colt cartridges, and 38 Special. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the encouragement. So far I've loaded 45 Colt, 45 Schofield and 45-70 with black powder. Your channel looks interesting, just subscribed.
@@plinkinpreacher456 you're welcome. I also subscribed to your channel.
Great thank you.👍👍
thank you, I'll buy 3 , 45lc, 44mag, 45-70, just bought a Pedersoli 1874 Sharps from Cabela today, March 8, 2024, Keep your powder dry😃
That Sharps should be a lot of fun, enjoy! Thanks for watching
My black priming rod is 0.005 inch too long, keep making 0.012-0.015 inch primer depth (suppose to be 0.000-0.008 preferred). I am not sure a little too deep will cause too much of trouble at range. I took the device apart but I couldn't find any ways to adjust the depth. Any experienced loader has the same issue?
I don't have any suggestions for you. I'm just a plinker if the primers end up flush or a little below, I call it good. I've never had any issues with anything that I've primed with this tool. Thanks for watching!
You don’t have to take it apart to change rams just hold it upside down and it slope out.

Thanks for that tip, didn't know that.
