Catching monsters has been around since the moment Satoshi Tajiri pitched the idea of Pokemon to Nintendo back in the 1990's; and during the boom of the 2000's, the slogan to Pokemon was Gotta Catch 'Em All, but what if I told you couldn't catch them all? What if there are Pokemon that are so hard to catch, that it's nearly impossible to do so! Well, in this video I go over the Top 10 hardest Pokemon to catch in my opinion! When I was like 10 years old I caught a Raikou on Pokemon Fire Red. Then, during a friend's birthday party, a friend secretly transferred my Raikou on to his game and I lost it forever

Dark Have you used the 400 tile map? Found it on r/Emerald (or its on the Professor Oak Challenge subreddit); got mine on the 21st tile in Emerald (doing a Professor Oak Challenge).
I hatch and catch feebas in Pokemon Go atleast twice a week. It's an uncommon I guess for spawn rates.
I have mitotic in emerald
It took an hour to find the water tile for the feebas then 10 more minutes to get the feebas from the PC then to lillycove to make the blue poke blocks then 10 minutes to level it up
Chansey, Tauros, and Kangaskhan were the unholy trinity of the Gen 1 Safari Zone.
I never got either. Tried so hard to get Kangaskhan and Chansey too.
Edit: Actually, I did catch a Kangaskhan at some point in 2013 or something, but that didn't help me much at that point.
Chansey, Tauros, and Kangaskhan were for the land part, but Dratini was the most difficult for water. I don't know how much time it took to finally catch one of any of those.

My brother encountered a SHINY CHANSEY in the Safari Zone. I dared him to just throw a Safari Ball at it and BARELY CAUGHT IT(it shaked three times but it got out and fled).
Correction on Kecleon: -33.9% recruit rate, double speed but no double stats, Level 90. A sane person recruits everything else and wishes for it with Jirachi

I remember having a surfing Pikachu back in the day, didn't realize it was so hard to get honestly it felt alot easier when I was a kid with nothing to do haha

You have to save before releasing the roamer, because stats and shininess are determined at that moment
So you have to go through the cutscene over and over again.
Also, I rather not think about those times when multiple Pokémon are triggered by an event (such as all 3 dogs roaming or the 3 legendary birds in Platinum). The odds of all 3 being shiny...

Once you encounter it Shiny roamed, (Stats can vary between encounter, so in gen 2, stats determine shininess, and I know from experience.)
Once u encounter it shiny, it will stay that way, despite the constant stat changes between encounters.

Feebas just takes time. I spent an entire day home sick from school catching, evolving, and training one and the milotic was definitely worth it

I spent two days on Crystal Version trying to get a Chansey just to trade it for an Aerodactyl. It wasn't that it was hard to catch. It was finding it. I found it a total of like 10 times at most out of like....i dunno how many Pokemon on the route outside Fushsia City goin back to Lavender Town.

A master ball failed me once in my life!
It happend on Red when catching a Zapdos.
I had to reset my game and rethrow the master ball again! I was sour man.
Turns out it is a glitch in those games, but it can happen
it's rarer than missing a tackle in that game.
I remember that glitch. I thought it had a 1/256 chance of happening in Red and Blue, but I'm not sure.

Gen 1 Chansey can suddenly become very easy if you start doing the glitch city and Missingno glitches. Because then the safari zone Pokemon start appearing along the shore line. And at least in my case they didn't go away anymore - they kept appearing at that shore line, even if I wasn't doing the glitch city thing at the moment.

When I was a kid, I had a very hard time capturing Lugia in Gold version. I think I've spent more than 40 ultra balls. Good thing I got it after all.
I do, I wanted a Feebas that bad. It took me a while, and later to evolve it into Milotic was a whole otehr mission. But it is to this day one of my all time favorite pokemons that I have ever raised. Still have it with me on Gen 8.
I remember my first play through of emerald. Wanted a feebas but didn’t know what my random squares were. Surprisingly got it on the 7th square I fished on.

I was 7 when Pokemon Blue/Red came out. I finally caught a Chansey in it during a random playthrough at age 25.
Sometimes when you upload a video I get 50% excited for the video and 50% excited for the little skits in the beggining.

Dude, Feebas in Pokemon Diamond is far more difficult to catch since there are only a handful of spots in a massive lake inside one cave where it is catchable. Additionally, they are random each day. In Gen 3 the chance of encountering Feebas on the Route you mentioned is 100% underneath the bridge at nighttime.

About the Pokemon Pinball Mew capture, it would require the ball to hit Mew about 6 times every second for that 3 minute period to capture it. Based on the video displayed, this is technically possible as the ball can just sit on the Pokemon and meet this requirement, but I don't see how having a Pokeball sit on a Pokemon for the entire time can happen, even with TAS.

For a roaming legendary, your life is much easier with a Gallade knowing Hypnosis/Mean Look/False Swipe. Every legendary with 1 HP and Sleep status is most likely caught with ~30 Ultra Balls. It may be a bit painful to train a high-leveled Gallade, but since you have it catching becomes piece of cake. You can also find easily a roaming legendary with Max Repels filtering out any other encounter by having a Pokemon at the same level with the legendary in the first slot of your party.
Gallade wasn’t around for gen 2 and 3 🤡

Trying to catch a shiny beldum and a normal have the same catch rate there’s no difference to it.
Haven’t seen the list yet but I wanna add one of my own: a legit Epic trait Victini in Pokémon Rumble Blast for the 3DS.
You’ll need the following:
1. Complete the main story
2. At least one “Heroic” Pokémon
3. Befriend Cobalion (I think)
4. World Rank 6 or higher (according to Serebii.net)
5. A HUNDRED FIFTY StreetPass tags on that save file (takes longer than it sounds, or 1,500 Play Coins)
Method A: Be lucky enough to obtain a Rusty Victini after doing all of the above and “soft-reset” until it purifies into an Epic
Method B: Play through everything up to this point and try your luck at finding and befriending Victini over and over again until you get an Epic
For the generations 3 Feebas tiles, the tiles never really change. The titles are actually based on the four phrases that you have on file in the game in a certain pokemon center.
There's a mistake regarding the PMD Kecleon. It was stated that every 1/100 will be recruited, but it's actually 1/1000.

Believe it or not, but in Pokemon FireRed I caught Chancey, and on the second or third attempt. I read somewhere that the best strategy is to throw two baits into it, and then throw pokeballs. Apparently, I had a lot of luck when I was small, lmao
