Got to see 261 myself back in August and it was great
I still have yet to see 261 in person. Hopefully when I have money, time, and a good job, I can maybe go see 261. I'm hoping to see her when she's resting in Minneapolis or operating on the TC&W.
Wish 261 can doublehead with 765 in the future. What if it could happen?
very unlikely.

@@brianfalzon6739 Don't over-push it, I doubt there are plans for steam to return to the New River Gorge anytime soon.
What type of whistle was 261 wearing that year?
Milwaukee Road 3 chime. She still wears it to this day along with an ATSF 6 chime
What does it say on her tender?
It's an Operation Lifesaver plaque placed on the Aux tender.
@@railfanjordan8141 no the lettering on her tender not her auxiliary tender
@@atsfevan0242 it says "The Milwaukee Road"
@@atsfevan0242 but if you're referring to why there was a strip still visible in some scenes, it's because she was lettered to masquerade as a DL&W Pocono for a Steamtown film before heading to WV to do these trips during the same month.
