Hey, your son will have that honor forever. He's a legend in the whole NHL and always will be and you're going to keep following him wherever he goes. That's the way it works.
Vegas is treating its players like pawns in a never ending pursuit of the BBD (bigger better deal). News Flash: You need player buy-in and commitment to a franchise and city in order to win the Cup. You don't foster that buy-in when you treat players like pawns.
Hello from Minnesota… The State of Hockey….The “temporary” home of the MAGNIFICENT Marc Andre Fleury! He makes hockey fun! And makes you believe in magic!
Beautiful baby! He will be proud of his middle name forever. To be named not only after a great athlete but a swell guy. I’m a bit more vindictive that other commenters, I hope Vegas finishes last this season, and next, and………
as a blackhawks fan, i feel your pain, when corey crawford was traded to new jersey, i was really upset. no cockiness towards you vegas fans. cockiness is not gonna get you far in life
From his gold pads to the flash of his leather, Fleury epitomizes Vegas with his class and style. You are loved and missed here, Forever your crease, now Go get Marty Flower. . .
I don't get why Vegas fans are so infatuated with Fleury? I mean Vegas has only had a team for 4 years - it's not been long enough to get attached to a player, lol.. No doubt when Fleury gets the call from HOF he'll be going in as a Penguin.. And look, I'm a Hawks fan and I'm happy to have Fleury and indeed I know what it's like to see your favorite player traded and I cried when it happened - it felt like someone I loved died, lol - but I was 10 and the player in question played for the Hawks since I was born, that player was Denis Savard and he was traded for Chris Chelios whom quickly became one of my favorite players. Then of course Denis Savard returned to the Hawks a handful of years later and retired where he belonged... So yea, I don't get the whole love affair Vegas fans had with Fleury but whatever - like I pointed out I'm happy to have him in Chicago and I'm looking forward to seeing if he has another Vezina caliber season left in the tank, because if he does he could take the Hawks a long way, I mean guys that know how to win Cups are invaluable, obviously the Hawks still have a couple of guys left from their dynasty in Toews and Kane, and obviously they added Tyler Johnson, but having a goalie that knows how to win a Cup or two certainly helps the Hawks chances at bringing another one back to Chicago and perhaps if the Hawks come close Fleury will stick around for another season or two before he hangs them up and awaits the call from the Hall. Also, Vegas needed/wanted cap space and that's obviously what Vegas traded for.. I'm sure Fleury could have fetched a more substantial return if they were willing to take salary back but they weren't and the Hawks were willing to take him for nothing... I mean Vegas is lucky the Hawks were willing to take him straight up because otherwise Vegas would have had to package him up with an asset to get another GM to take the contract - believe me as a Hawks fan I know all about it. Bowman's had to add young talent just to dump a contract and it's not fun, so this situation could have been much worse...

MAF is probably the classiest guy in american hockey. Love his acquisition from a blackhawks perspective... and he IS gonna play. Love it!

Fleury was on the bench in final vs Canadiens since he made the mistake people knew he would be trade
