Wow. I hear these tips in all commercial music, nowadays... And now I know how they do it. SWEET!!!
It won't be perfect, but you could effect-send all of your drum tracks to an auxiliary track and put a 100% wet reverb effect on that auxiliary track (pick a reverb pre-set that emulates the type of room that you want). That would give you a fake room mic track.
Ah! at first I was confused as to what this was going to accomplish but once you got the sound in there I realized that this is the effect that I hear a lot on like brand new's older albums and more of that punk/rock sound. thanks for this! I'm going to try it. But can't you get a similar effect with an EQ plugin and just kinda cut it so it gives a radio effect?
Love the tips bro, each one is superb. Only one I've not used it LCR panning, I still prefer some detail in panning lol
i like this video series. i just started producing. tho im making electronic house music, the ideas and concepts in here is still very useful. thanks mr graham :D
NICE. Dig that.
Nice beat.
Yah Graham is the Bomb! Thanks Bro!
@paulsenification Actually the room we were in was horrible. You'd be surprised what you can do with a room mic.
BUT.. you need a pretty good sounding recording room, well, u obviously had one. sounds cool! ur blog rocks!!!
Hi, that's a real good song you've been using for these tutorials, is there anywhere we can hear the full version?
@TheKroMusic Patience my friend. They are comin :-)
@jujutjub Really only works when only drums were recorded in that room.
Is there a way to get this effect for sequenced drums?
@recordingrevolution I do see a trigger plugin though, is it a blend of a sample? I use drumagog to blend most of mine.
plz help should we use limiter after mixing or mastering or in both cases ie after mixing and mastering
@inphazeaudio Real drums.
Is this possible with VSTI drums?? if so, how?
reverb.. there's a reason why there's always a preset called room reverb
lets say...we have no room mic track, how can w emulate this effect?
Duplicate and aply room reverb emulation, then put down the dry and put all the way up the wet
Ponele reverb que emule una habitacion, despues bajale el dry y subile todo el wet
