Hey guys, I'm using the GetGood Drums Periphery 4 Matt Halpern Drum Library to show you guys how I go about programming drums. I go through everything from drum velocities to actual patterns and how I go about implementing them into my riffs.

I think you have some of the best beginner friendly content on CZcams in regards to modern metal. It's always straightforward and summed up concisely. Would love to see some videos on how you go about mixing/EQing your songs.

I'm going to start a new game where I take a shot every time I see a musician using all Periphery gear.

I literally just started programming my own drums instead of using midi grooves today. This is great, thank you.

drummer here. can confirm. it's what you put around the riff that makes it interesting. i like to add a "what the fuck" fill in the middle of a verse when it repeats at a later part of the song just to introduce a little bit of variation. also, switching between cymbals for certain parts for a different feel (if the riff is the same).

Thank you so much for this video! I've been looking for something like this for sometime, I've been watching quite a bit of your content lately and it's been nothing less than stellar.

I just built a PC, bought STL Will Putney, and GGD Invasion. Your videos have helped me out big time.

This is great Keyan. I'm sure I've watched this before at some point but having almost finished writing guitars for a project I'm on I'll come back again and use these strategies for sure! Not convinced about a lot of my placeholder grooves at the moment
