@@jasoncarpenter5974 nice! I've been planning on getting a couple of Neca Broadways (wingless & w/ yelling head) to display with these DnD figures. They'd fit right in with them. Just waiting on the prices to go down on Broadway a little.
As soon as you said it was a strap on his back, I knew it was a problem. I have broken every strap on these D&D figs. They are too short, barely glued on, too rigid, and are not meant to endure stress. Even if the strap didnt break initially, Im willing to bet my last dollar that the weight of Elkhorns pack would break that strip with time and gravity alone.
I just got this and broke the strap trying to get the backpack on. A little super glue and it's all good except that pack probably is never coming off. The heart gem is a nod to the original d&d adventure that focused on these characters called "Quest for the Heartstone".
Really hope we see more of this line really want the final evil hero Kelek, you can t have him mentioned on wardukes pack and not have him and release his unreleased 80s figure.
I've just opened this guy up and absolutely blown away by the accessories. A few problems I ran into though - his wrists are super loose so I can't pose him as well as I could. Also, why the hell did he not come with a couple of splayed hands so he can pose with the heart and the purple stone accessories? And the backpack was a pain - I ended up using the other end of a spoon to help me stick it on. Also his articulation is limited by his beard and stature but because of the accessories and the beautiful sculpt he's a definite contender for figure of the year for me.
The heart-shaped jewel is the titular artifact from the Dungeons & Dragons module "Quest for the Heartstone" which featured all of the characters from the LJN AD&D range (both Good and Evil alignments) being brought together to seek the magical gem in question.
Bummer about the backpack. We need Northlord now! I have Warduke and Strongheart and im waiting for Northlord i had all 3 as a kid. I also just got all the Hasbro D&D cartoon figures.
@@Toygains Thanks for the good word & review man, really appreciate it! Hoping for Mercion & Kelek! But logic tells me it will be Kelek & Ringlerun (due to parts sharing).
I knew this and was going to be a bump in the road. Actually, I don’t think any of the rest can come close to the initial releases, but I’m still gonna get them just because I’m an idiot.
@@Toygains oh cool. It was just that I spotted that awesome looking Conan in the background and HAD to know more. Quick Google; Frazetta Conan Figure and there he was on eBay in all his (expensive) glory!
3 good guys 2 bad guys! Oops
Imo, all of these DnD figures should've came with treasure & torches....invokes dungeon crawling & actual dnd campaigns. Love this line btw.
Good idea! Stuff to fight over.
I swapped in a New Eternia Whiplash to be a lizardman. It’s such a great line.

That’s my next figure brother! Thank for getting me into this line 😁✌🏼😎
Chubbzy whubbzy in Little Falls NJ has a ton !
i've been waiting for this lil man for a while! he looks as good as i thought he would
The Battle Armor He Man is fucking great brother!
Thanks for that !

Yeah it's not a smart design choice at all.

@@vegaserik44 ahh thanks. The backpack design is goofy.

Same. It's my favorite line right now.
Elkhorn looks Awesome!!! The Good Stuff as always!!!
Thanks YJJ!
Looking good
All you have to do on the backpack is slide something under the flap and and spread it open and it stays open and slides on and off easily.
On it!
So just use a little common sense? & maybe a little heat to make things pliable? Like ya would with any other figure?! On it!
No it doesn’t it breaks

He's one of those Figures that looks so good you can forgive the issues. But I totally agree about the hands to hold the accessories.
@@Toygains Hell yeah - enjoyed the latest Mega Powers show btw dude - always a great start to my Friday morning 🤘

Thanks for that tidbit. Awesome accessory then!
I’d say to heat up the backpack and it should go on fine. The figure looks cool.
I tried. I gotta do the magnet. Seems fun to do anyway.
@@Toygains you dremel in the magnet then glue it in right?
You put your finger in the backpack and press against the clip it goes right on and off everytime. Took me a while to figure out.. lol

Nice. I modded the back back and now it's much easier
@Toy Gains Where did you get your Elkhorn from? I have mine pre-ordered but not due until end of the month.

@@Toygains Right on. You're the first video out on this bad boy! Congrats.
I've yet to see a NECA Elkhorn figure in person. I hope I don't have to go to Amazon.
Hoping NECA make more. So far things aren't looking good...
Well I had an opportunity to speak to a few people at Neca and two more are coming. And they also said sales were good. So fingers crossed.
@@Toygains Thanks for the good word & review man, really appreciate it! Hoping for Mercion & Kelek! But logic tells me it will be Kelek & Ringlerun (due to parts sharing).
Hopefully they make a dragon figure. Like a huge red dragon.

lol his sculpt is great. Just that backpack really bums me out. Warduke is also a rad ass design.. hard to top
You knew this would be a bump in the road too, huh? What, just a gut feeling? Premonition of a testy dwarf backpack in a dream? 😂
I REALLY hope they move on to the Forgotten Realms characters like Drizzt and Bruenor and the others.
Absolute!!
Raise the rooth great review
lol! Baby Roof!
I totally broke the little clip on the backpack and just glued it on. What a stupid design choice.
The clip should have been a softer plastic. Makes no sense.
Damn thing, barely moved and broke on me. What a piece of shit.
Are all those figures in the background NECA?
No it's a mix of mcfarlane, dst, Mattel and Neca
@@Toygains oh cool. It was just that I spotted that awesome looking Conan in the background and HAD to know more. Quick Google; Frazetta Conan Figure and there he was on eBay in all his (expensive) glory!
I seperated the clip slighty with my knife to get it on. But yeah, bad design
Especially coming off the elegant prey figure with a magnet. Mine has since broken and I glued it in a better place. Beautiful piece though.
757 let’s gooooooo!!!!!
lol :)
Looks too much like Gimli. Would have preferred the headsculpt looked more like the OG LJN figure.
Oh man but everything else is so good. Dont pass if you have the others.
Warduke is definitely not one of the Good Guys! Elkhorn looks great!
lol brain fart. So we're at 3-2 evil guys soon to be 4. We need the archer then.
