Us United fans always do this, we’re so quick to overhype players, and if they fall short slightly or considerably below our expectations we almost start to antagonise them. First it was Pogba, now it’s Rashford . Harry Maguire was bought for £85, he’s been atrocious and he’s our 4th choice CB when everyone’s fit but somehow he needs to stay and Marcus needs to leave. Fans have the legitimate right to criticise players but the problem is we go over board with our expectations of the players, that’s y most people over react when they’re playing poorly.

This is a person with a very thin skin. He doesn't know how to take criticism. That's why he is liking a social media account with very few members. How did he even find that message? And after midnight?
Rashford has the wrong people around him who are afraid to tell him the truth. I know a lot of people who wouldn't be frustrated by Rashford's lack of goals if he would put in the effort on the pitch.

Footballers get their performances dissected by fans after every game. That goes with the territory. As long as the criticism is justified and does not become personal, then players need to look themselves in the mirror and ask if the criticism is fair and look at improving their performances

You never look at the human side. One player tribune interview and one re-tweet. It’s not exactly a criminal record. Just laow him man. We all know there is some truth to what he is saying. The issue here is that Rashford is not only a player he is a brand, which is also about Rashford the person. Consequently, more than Maguire, he is obligated to do tribune interview to protect himself and his brand.
It’s a no win situation for him which means he needs to leave and reinvent himself as a player, a brand and maybe as a person.

I think the way that Rashford has been treated is disgusting. People seem to think that because he earns a lot of money that he's no longer a human being with feelings. Rashford is probably up after midnight because he can't sleep due to severe anxiety. That anxiety is result of the constant abuse. That level of abuse and scrutiny will it affect anyone's mental health.

Sometimes people in a bad state of mind just want to be left alone. Even valid criticism can feel like death by a thousand paper cuts of all you hear is criticism. To simplify this, Rashy is just looking for excuse to mask his poor showing. The guy knows he is out of luck. Last season he was NOT brilliant. Please. The guy did scored 30+ goals but he had many poor performances. How many games did United lost humiliatingly last season?? Rashy knew his own capability. We knew what he can and can't. Crazy thing about Rashford is that even within the PL, the competition isn't great and yet he's still below them. None of the clubs above United have a world class left winger. Martinelli, not world class. Neither Grealish nor Doku is. Diaz is putting up Garnacho numbers, Johnson is clearly a Forest player playing at Spurs.. yet all of them, bar Johnson, are out performing Rashford. ALL of them contribute to their team's general play better. All of them put in the defensive work consistently. Only Grealish is paid above 200K and he's a treble winner who contributed significantly to that. None of them is born and bred and raised through their academy... Enough really is enough.

Absolutely, because Bruno hasn’t faced this much scrutiny, Antony hasn’t, but the energy is different. I don’t know if it’s because of the expectations or people want him to fail. Rashford has lost his pace too imo and without that he doesn't excel at anything else, I cant remember the last time i saw him win a foot race, he seems to get beat to to the ball consistently even when he's trying to win it
Problem with rashford is because he is English he has been fast tracked without developing any area of his game like a young player should to a status he is never going to reach I.e world class, super star.
