My grandfather was a 33rd degree Mason. I barely knew him but he was not someone I have respect towards-immense anger and hurt I've had to work to get over in fact. He ruined his children's and grandchildren's lives all while claiming to my great grandfather that he would provide and take care of us, instead he squandered his entire legacy- millions of my great grandfather's hard earned money (wasn't even his father, it was his father in law's money). He then gave the rest of it to the woman he married after my grandmother passed and she gambled it all away. I thought he was Christian but found out later he was a 33rd degree. Abhorrent. When my mother could barely care for herself and children anymore he tried to keep her from going to her grandmother (my great grandmother) by telling her that people there, which were all our extended family, don't take too kindly to outsiders. He was always defending himself against me for asking what I thought were just innocent questions. I was eventually a working single mother and he wondered why I could barely survive as well as why I didn't volunteer my time, as if I had any. My great grandmother helped with a $300 small apartment, he didn't like that. I just desperately wanted family. It was awful honestly. My daughter is now 19, we don't talk to any of the family i knew when I was younger, we've all grown apart for various reasons I love Christ so that's my main focus now

I have a very elderly friend whose father was in free masonry. She was repeatedly abused by him as a little girl and so was her sister. She states he was "way up there" in the ranking. I have learned of forms of "worship" that go on in other groups that follow Lucifer, I worry that she may have endured even more than the physical abuse. His outward religion was Jehovah Witness. The king James is really the authorised version that stems from Antioch manuscripts where they were first called Christians. This the perfect English translation from the Hebrew and Greek received (accepted) texts. Hello there, I greatly enjoyed this presentation. I wanted to point out two thing. Firstly, that the York Rite and Scottish Rites are appendant bodies of Freemasonry. All of their teachings and practices were made up in the last 150 years to keep Lodge members busy while waiting for their turn to be Officers in the Blue Lodge. Pike and other such authors are not universally idolized or looked up to by Masons. The highest rank you can rise to in Masonry is being a Past Master. A Past Master outranks any Scottish or York Rite member, even if he's a 32nd or 33rd Degree. The second thing I wanted to mention is that the ritual of the 3rd Degree does NOT depict a resurrection and is not an allegory for Christ or His Resurrection.

When he talks about the requirement to believe in a supreme being, it reminds me so much of the Boy Scouts, which has the same requirement. IIRC, the Boy Scouts was founded by a Mason. I feel like that gives me some perspective on this aspect, though. I don't see it as nefarious, because it's largely in the American spirit; freedom of religion. All it excludes is people who don't believe in a supreme being. In a way, Freemasonry is a fraternity, a club. In the past, the Boy Scouts got sued by atheists for this, because they said they wanted to be members, but wanted to not believe in any god. Though, I believe the Boy Scouts requires members at some point to talk about their faith. His example of atheists believing that evolution is their god doesn't make sense. Though, members don't have to declare what they believe in. I'm just saying if anyone were to ask them how evolution is a supreme being, and then ask them how that squares with their atheism, whatever they'd answer wouldn't make any sense, because a true atheist would admit no supreme being. I'd think they'd be thrown out of Freemasonry for being dishonest, or idiotic, because they'd be saying, "I don't believe in a god, but I believe in this god." It's disingenuous, and self-contradicting. I buy, though, that satanists could become members, because they could take Satan as their god. A disquieting thought, but I see how that could work. Given the principles of Freemasonry, though, I don't see how they'd last for very long, because Masonry insists on certain virtues for their members. I'm not an expert on them, but I've heard that they value truthfulness, and keeping your commitments. Satanists don't believe in any of that.

I’d love to hear more of your story and you are in my prayers now. I have a close friend who’s grandfather was a high up FM and owned the most successful funeral home in town. He took my friend to a FM meeting when she was about 3, and her memories of the evening are spotty. She was sexually abused by her father from toddlerhood to when she left for college. As she learns more about FM she is reflecting and remembering more but always denied that these memories could be real. This aspect of FM doesn’t get talked about much but I would love to know why she would be taken to a meeting. Her grandfather was not close to her, and quite a shady and corrupt man who didn’t especially like any children. My grandfather was a 33rd degree Mason. I barely knew him but he was not someone I have respect towards-immense anger and hurt I've had to work to get over in fact. He ruined his children's and grandchildren's lives all while claiming to my great grandfather that he would provide and take care of us, instead he squandered his entire legacy- millions of my great grandfather's hard earned money (wasn't even his father, it was his father in law's money). He then gave the rest of it to the woman he married after my grandmother passed and she gambled it all away. I thought he was Christian but found out later he was a 33rd degree. Abhorrent.
When my mother could barely care for herself and children anymore he tried to keep her from going to her grandmother (my great grandmother) by telling her that people there, which were all our extended family, don't take too kindly to outsiders. He was always defending himself against me for asking what I thought were just innocent questions. I was eventually a working single mother and he wondered why I could barely survive as well as why I didn't volunteer my time, as if I had any. My great grandmother helped with a $300 small apartment, he didn't like that. I just desperately wanted family. It was awful honestly. My daughter is now 19, we don't talk to any of the family i knew when I was younger, we've all grown apart for various reasons

I have a very elderly friend whose father was in free masonry. She was repeatedly abused by him as a little girl and so was her sister. She states he was "way up there" in the ranking. I have learned of forms of "worship" that go on in other groups that follow Lucifer, I worry that she may have endured even more than the physical abuse. His outward religion was Jehovah Witness. His parents were Baptists and had nothing to do with the free mason organization and spoke against it. This would have been in the 1930s and 40s and in the southeast coast of the USA.

I believe in Christ's love therefore I believe in love. Is Christ the only one who can truly love? Or are we as humans capable of love? We are capable of love of course. There are billions of human beings who are not Christians who are loving beautiful humans that are simply being. Therefore I believe Christ asked us to open our hearts and let love in. To only let the love of Christ in would go against his very own commandment as it is "Love" he refers to, not himself. "Love oneanother, as I have loved you".

The king James is really the authorised version that stems from Antioch manuscripts where they were first called Christians. This the perfect English translation from the Hebrew and Greek received (accepted) texts. The modern versions (the first was the English standard version in 1901) ultimately stem from Alexandria which in the bible is always a cursed place and stems out of philosophy and Gnosticism. Hello there, I greatly enjoyed this presentation. I wanted to point out two thing. Firstly, that the York Rite and Scottish Rites are appendant bodies of Freemasonry. All of their teachings and practices were made up in the last 150 years to keep Lodge members busy while waiting for their turn to be Officers in the Blue Lodge. Pike and other such authors are not universally idolized or looked up to by Masons. The highest rank you can rise to in Masonry is being a Past Master. A Past Master outranks any Scottish or York Rite member, even if he's a 32nd or 33rd Degree.
The second thing I wanted to mention is that the ritual of the 3rd Degree does NOT depict a resurrection and is not an allegory for Christ or His Resurrection.
The highest rank is the sublime degree of a Master Mason.

When he talks about the requirement to believe in a supreme being, it reminds me so much of the Boy Scouts, which has the same requirement. IIRC, the Boy Scouts was founded by a Mason. I feel like that gives me some perspective on this aspect, though. I don't see it as nefarious, because it's largely in the American spirit; freedom of religion. All it excludes is people who don't believe in a supreme being. In a way, Freemasonry is a fraternity, a club.
In the past, the Boy Scouts got sued by atheists for this, because they said they wanted to be members, but wanted to not believe in any god. Though, I believe the Boy Scouts requires members at some point to talk about their faith.
His example of atheists believing that evolution is their god doesn't make sense. Though, members don't have to declare what they believe in. I'm just saying if anyone were to ask them how evolution is a supreme being, and then ask them how that squares with their atheism, whatever they'd answer wouldn't make any sense, because a true atheist would admit no supreme being. I'd think they'd be thrown out of Freemasonry for being dishonest, or idiotic, because they'd be saying, "I don't believe in a god, but I believe in this god." It's disingenuous, and self-contradicting.
I buy, though, that satanists could become members, because they could take Satan as their god. A disquieting thought, but I see how that could work. Given the principles of Freemasonry, though, I don't see how they'd last for very long, because Masonry insists on certain virtues for their members. I'm not an expert on them, but I've heard that they value truthfulness, and keeping your commitments. Satanists don't believe in any of that.
That is a very interesting philosophy and well thought out in construct. I would have liked to have read it earlier. Just to point out that the moral code you think masons have is not foundational as many enter on a lie saying what needs to be heard just to gain entry as when a proposed apprentice is questioned they have already been proposed and seconded for eligibility to enter.

The Scouts was founded by Robert Baden Powell, but he was not a Freemason. His brother WAS a Freemason (his name escapes me right now) and the CURRENT Baron Baden-Powell is also a Freemason.

It is 100% real - been there - seen the truth and the results - I'm an over 60 female but was "introduced" aged 6 to a "m@$0n!c group" - enough said. Lots happened from the age of 6 to my early 20s. I then escaped from the place of my birth to somewhere anonymous 260 miles away. My original abuser dropped down dead when I was 17 but not before he had "introduced me" to his network....... My Rector dad did not know that the man of repute (churchwarden) he chose to be a "godparent" to me was a FM. When this man agreed to "bring me up in the nurture and admonition the Lord" at my christening, he actually unwittingly opened me to things that to this day I will not put on paper. My godfather was a member of FM but it was his successor churchwarden, also a FM that started the abuse. I destroyed the KJV M@$0n!c Bible I was given as a "christening" present. Like you state, it would not burn normally so I ripped it in pieces and buried it in a muddy bog over 35 years ago - I was not destroying the Word of God, but the hold that the physical book was having over me. I threw gold m@$0n!c "gifts" into the river too....... if we want to be free, we have to mean business......

I’d love to hear more of your story and you are in my prayers now. I have a close friend who’s grandfather was a high up FM and owned the most successful funeral home in town. He took my friend to a FM meeting when she was about 3, and her memories of the evening are spotty. She was sexually abused by her father from toddlerhood to when she left for college. As she learns more about FM she is reflecting and remembering more but always denied that these memories could be real. This aspect of FM doesn’t get talked about much but I would love to know why she would be taken to a meeting. Her grandfather was not close to her, and quite a shady and corrupt man who didn’t especially like any children.
