- On this episode of Rock Rods Formula Offroad Racing is coming to the USA! The event took place at Bikini Bottoms Offroad Park in Dyersburg, Tennessee. 14 Drivers made the trip for Formula Offroad Iceland to show off their sport to America for the first time ever. Formula Offroad Racing is not timed. Each driver must make it through a certain number of gates making up each course. Some of these Formula Offroad Hill Climbs are straight up insane. The best part is that some of the Rock Bouncers have decided to join in on the fun! I guess you would call that Formula Offroad Rock Racing or something like that. There were a ton of awesome crashes. Enjoy the full event and let us know who your favorite driver was in the comments. Seeing the rock bouncers with the formula tires made my day. I can't wait to go see a formula event here state side.
They come to Tennessee every year in October. make the trip this year and check it out
So it's coming full circle! Formula Offroad has its roots in abandoned piles of Jeeps after WWII and the Icelandic discovered a whole new use for these 4x4. Then they started modifying the Jeeps and the Unlimited Class is the current pinnacle of that evolution. Big American V8s and sometimes even with twin turbos and over 1600hp... ;-)

Cool, we love some formula offroad. The are purpose built for the hills and work well.
Using the audio from the upper camera (in the first course... only watched about 2:30 mins yet :) over the lower camera footage; would get rid of the engine sounds in the backround. And sound way better! Awesome footage and audio from you guys on this channel :)

Maybe 80-90.000 dollars... at least... a quality material cost a lot, and with this kind of high powered motors is easy to break something
