I wound up getting a 26" from a yard sale for $20. It needs to tlc but still works fairly well as is
that's a sweet deal! as long as there is no holes in the bowl and lid, everything else is pretty much fixable and can get the parts from weber. but yes this grill is great to cook on

It sounds like it's 4" bigger, but it's way bigger! You can float a 22" cooking grate on top of a couple of charcoal baskets if you want even more cooking area. I call it Pagoda style. Right on Sal!
i probably should have mentioned that and compare the space you get in square inches but it requires math and that's going to get people to click away fast lol!
but yes!...the elvated grate is something i use to always do on my 22" for direct grilling(before i got my santa maria grill attachment)
