Dave- Today is a huge win! 19 years of marriage and a date night! Also a lesson learned- Be thankful that all 100 offers didn't accept the $10.
You have to watch sending offers on the computer because the last 2 weeks, when i go to send offers I have had to adjust it to percentage and not dollar amounts.
I personally would cancel it as a pricing error and let the buyer know that it was supposed to be a ten percent offer, not a ten dollar offer.

@willowsk1 He is really doing a very good job with his business. I admire his tenacity to wake up trying each day. HE has ADHD (possibly untreated), and his mishaps are part of his diagnosis. You must understand the diagnosis/symptoms to understand the personal challenges that he goes through daily.
If untreated (as he’s said, since a child)… it’s on him, not something WE need ti understand and sympathize for the difficulties it causes? He could’ve been treating this since he was a child, but chose not to.

Accidents happen, I always honor what I send even if it was a costly screw up on my part. But I also have calculated shipping on all my items, specifically so it doesn’t happen where I make “0”.

I don't know how vendoo works, but I believe you can just go into it and delete the old eBay item number then put in the new item number. All is then fixed...takes a bit of work but that's what happens when you break something 😊

dave I have made that mistake of sending some crazy offer by accident, it was a while back but whatever it was the price would have been like $1, the person in that case messaged me before accepting offer, because they figured it was a mistake, I thanked them, ended the listing and offered them a good price if they still wanted

I'm sorry that happened to you. I had a similar thing happen to me recently. I doubted that I'd actually sent such a low offer and called eBay to see if they had a glitch. The rep at eBay told me to cancel the sale and use the reason that there was a problem with the buyer's address.
Although there's always a possibility I made a stupid mistake and hit the wrong numbers when making an offer, I did write to the buyer and told him I suspected a glitch at eBay because I had no memory of making such a small offer, and wouldn't have done so. He was fortunately understanding and OK with me cancelling the sale.

be careful about ending the items as you can create a duplicate listing as the offer still stands even if you delete the listing - another wonderful thing about ebay
No if you delete the item the offer is gone. It shows as an ended item.

Glad to see you continue not to learn from your multitude of mistakes. SLOW DOWN and take a second to check the offers before sending. I always do a quick scroll to make sure nothing looks way off before sending. takes 2 extra seconds. You need a better inventory system and put stuff in labelled bags etc. As someone else wrote, daily train wreck!

Hey Dave. I live in the Detroit area and we're overflowing with tools. I know they're boring but they sell fast and for good money. When I was a young man (I'm 67 now) I was a mechanic and it cost around $25,000 to $30,000 back then just in tools. Many mechanics shop on eBay to buy used, cheaper tools.
I've had the dollar offer issue on mobile.Very interesting and luckily I've always caught it.

I once did $20 off instead of 20%. Realized after first sale. Canceled sale and ended other items.
I would personally cancel it that is too big of a loss and that person knows that they’re getting too good of a deal. I would explain it was a mistake and that you were very sorry but you can’t take a loss that big that would cost you money to send it to them. Anybody that doesn’t understand that doesn’t get Ebay at all. If that was me I would be very gracious and say that’s OK, I understand. But I would never take that big of a loss.

I would cancel, tell the buyer why, and then give the buyer a huge discount where I at least break even after COG, fees, and shipping.

dave congrats on 19 years. I do only the scheduled listing method. It use to be .10cets per listing with store but its free now and you can go up to 3 weeks out. Make it ready to list and have it complete and schedule it for free.

I had the exact same issue 2 days ago except it was a $265 sideshow Star Wars figure. I think it might be buggy or as others said it switches sometimes. It felt bad but I messaged the buyer and told him I was going to cancel and it was a mistake, he was very cool about it thank goodness. I havent had any defects in last year plus so I was willing to take the hit to not lose $200+.
There is a very simple fix for your mistake, "Buyer Asked To Cancel". You may of meant to send and offer of 10% off but it was set as $ instead, i've caught myself doing that several times.

I’ve done that before, meant to select % off but chose the $ one for $10 too instead of 10% like I meant to. I was lucky though and the person I sent the offer to reached out and asked me if it was a mistake. It was lol chatted with them for a bit and worked out a price they were cool with so they declined it… luckily…

Hey Dave, It wasn't too long ago that ebay changed offer options that you can send by either a percentage or dollar amount. You just have to make sure it's set to the dollar amount option and not the percentage. I don't know why ebay did this but they messed a lot of people up. See.... you listened to Kevin when he told you to send offers and you did it too quickly and didn't notice the ebay change. I feel for you..... Happy Anniversary though to you and Tina!!
