    Zhang HaoChen is amazing!
    His sound is just amazing, I heard the Cliburn Competition, and we immediatly knew that he is the winner.
    Keep it up, you're the next Perahia!

    Zhang's performance of the Prokofiev 2nd at the competition was breathtaking! I would have made him the singular gold medalist.

    Anyone who can listen to this and his other interviews along with his music and not love this kid must have a block of ice for a heart.

    I'm not sure whether I'm more impressed with his piano abilities or his English. Both are awesome. I will see him perform live someday! Please come to Los Angeles!

    People now of days have music wrong. Haochen is completely opposite of wrong, he has everything right.
    Im going to be seeing him live in a theater in downtown El Paso Texas.
    I only learned about him just the other day

    @reaperman2004:
    If you are talking about a gold medal for accomplishment, then yes, I would have given a gold medal to Nobuyuki Tsujii wholeheartedly. But, as always, it's a matter of opinion. Emotions ran high when Tsujii played, but I heard inconsistency, some very beautiful, some not so much. I simply preferred Zhang's performances. The Wall Street Journal, however, strongly criticized both gold medalists and roundly denounced the jury's decisions.

    I would argue that no one is an "authority" on musical taste. The Wall Street Journal music critic's opinion is no more or less valuable than yours or mine. My point was: some liked Zhang, some liked Tsujii, some liked both, and some liked neither.
