  • PMDD does not have to be a life sentence. In this masterclass I explain PMDD in a way you may not have thought of - from a holistic point of view. After living with Premenstrual Dysphoria for well over a decade, I have now been free of it for over five years thanks to a unique combination of therapy that I speak more about here.

    As a single mom of two I exploded today and ran up the stairs because I didn’t want to yell and cry like a crazy person in front of them and everytime I forget about my pmdd until i realize I’m one week in before my period hits. It scares me because I’m so good to my kids and so patient even in my situation… I love them so much so I want to manage it naturally before I scar them

    This has got to be one of the most magnificent videos on this topic and really inner child work healing that I have seen to date. They gave me a great sadness to lose my last relationship knowing that I was also chaotic but now with my new relationship I really want to step up and be there for myself and for my partner, to know that it is possible to heal possible to be loved and possible to have a menstruation cycle without losing yourself 12 times a year

    Finding out my triggers....everything and nothing! The sleepiness and bloating just makes me generally cranky for no reason. I react strongly to certain things whether I’m pmdd’ing at that moment or not...which I know is from childhood things, but that’s not amplified when I’m about to mense. The physical symptoms make me feel so sleepy and fat that I just want to stay in my bedroom until my cycle starts, then I’m fine. Right now I feel like I weigh 1,000 pounds and don’t feel energetic enough to do anything 😭 My most problematic psychiatric pmdd symptom is that the things I normally have fun doing are not interesting to me

      I completely sympathize with you but I would say there is no price on health and well-being, especially one that alters your life half way through every single month. I would forgo on eating out, buying coffee, maybe even use public transport to save up. Ask for monetary gifts from family and friends where appropriate for birthdays and holidays and save up. It’s hypnotherapy, EMDR and RTT that have the most effect it seems from research.

    I have had all of them. Mother Nature's food to nourish & nurturing the body. I am grateful that my Mum had it and knew how to heal it with food. Yes, trauma can be healed but my PMDD had nothing to do with Mt trauma as it many years later on infact 10 years after. PMDD started at 14 years old and I was a carer and I agree that was a wound which is linked to the Astrological Astorid Chiron. You are not the only person who does this there are few other people. I have treated myself with nature medicine cabinet which I now write my blog of the same Mother Nature's Cabinet. I have studied Psychology through my Law degree. And yes Doctors don't know too much about it. I know Marisa quite well and she is excellent 👌 her work is amazing.

    I would say my PMDD is very much connected to my hormones. As a therapist and been in therapy and very much connected in that way… this very related to hormone changes. Idk how much of this is unconscious trauma

    I am curious, recent research is showing a genetic mutation component that triggers physical and psychological symptoms during literal phase when normal shifts occur in the body and it’s the body’s negative response to these shifts supposedly causes this. I have to wonder if this genetic mutation takes place during several traumatic experiences that perhaps cause complex ptsd. It’s as though a switch is turned on in the female which she feels very heightened during her moon cycle when she is more stunned and sensitive to her surroundings.

    What are some natural supplements to take for physical symtoms of PMDD , such as the extreme fatigue right after ovulation until the period starts?
    I've read online of some natural supplements such as: Magnesium, Calcium, Vitamin B6, Myo-Inositol, or herbal ones like Chasteberry.. etc.
    Are these supplements very helpful, aside from the therapy and internalwork- in a hollistic approach? Since there is also a physical imbalance causing this and for me the fatigue is a lot, as well as the irritation with it

      They run the reproductive system for one thing... we are cyclicle beings - we experience four seasons in one month which are also the four seasons of a woman's lifespan - child, maiden, mother, crone - like spring, summer, autumn, winter. In the autumn, we begin to shed what no longer serves us. I recommend reading Wild Power if you'd like to explore this more deeply

    After over 30 years suffering with this and destroying many relationships and affecting my loved ones, I have been diagnosed with pmdd. However the doctor wants to put me through more medications and eventually a full hysterectomy. It seems very extreme. I don’t want anymore children but this seems extreme and terrifying to me. I know there are deeper wounds to heal and being in a toxic relationship right now has made my symptoms worsen, which would appear this relationship is triggering old childhood wounds! I want to be free from this without the extreme medications

    That's not necessarily true.
    I do understand that many women have work to do in the healing the childhood and cognitive or transformational therapy. But I personally spent years telling myself it's something about me and my past, I am glad and proud of the work I have done on myself but at this stage I can't find out anything more that I could heal or find triggering anymore. I can't even say why I feel this way, until I get my period and the feeling passes by. At this point I can say that for me, it is my hormunes. And I need to do something about it.
    I still do journalling, meditation, and my mindful practices everyday. I sit with all those chaotic feelings that come up. And at this time, the most responsibly and compassionate thing I can do for myself is to find how to balance my hormunes

      So just something to ponder: if it helped you immensely and these shifts will continue to influence the rest of your life in a positive way, including a snowball effect, isn't it in fact incredibly good value? What would some one have to pay you, for you to be back where you were before you had the therapy? Now compare that to what you paid. And ask yourself, was it expensive or is not having RTT expensive? :)

      I see my last comment was deleted, so I shall say it again.
      We are here to help each other. My therapy was $800 per 2 hour session, I had 3 sessions. There was a time I wasn't able to afford that,like most women who are suffering and on the brink ok hurting themselves. Therefore, if we are really on this earth to help one another, we should make it affordable.

    • @CarmenElRose
      @CarmenElRose Před 10 měsíci +2

      I agree with you. I spent shit loads of money on that healing BS and honestly, even though they're are some improvements, it's still bad. Recently I found ram Dass and he said this interesting thing that needs never ends. That we would never be satisfied, and the only way is to not identify yourself with ir anymore. That's quite an opposition to for example teal swan who says that as for needs you have no choice but to meet them.
      I trust therapy less and less. I feel like I might just focus on letting go technique by Hawkins and that's all. Cause I don't have to pay so very much and be disappointed with how little that brings. In the end, healing is a self work actually.

    Interesting, I’m 47 and have had PMMD symptoms for about 6 months. I had a normal happy childhood, I have emotional scarring from adult hood, it’s always there and regularly triggered, I know what caused it and I’m doing all I can to address it so why are my hormones making me suffer more and trying to tell me something I already know?

    • @NatalieRyanHebert
      @NatalieRyanHebert  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi Rebecca. Even though your childhood may have been happy, there are likely subconscious beliefs you have formed that are no longer helpful, that may be behind why you ended up in a relationship where you were scarred. With RTT, we are able to reframe the beliefs so they are no longer triggered. It happens at the subconscious level which is why it is so effective. 90% of our behaviour and certainly our reactions stem from the subconscious, so it is here we need to work.
