just call the first one "awake" like lorcan0c did
How do you know who's done which track?
@kitchensoup Running the Destiny Music Archive channel for years helped. You pick up on patterns and recognize certain samples each composer likes.
I'd recommend comparing tracks with the same names on them in the Bungie Store soundtrack PDFs to see if you can pick up some of those patterns. :)
@@Breshi123Congrats, that's a skill few people have!
@@dankerbellit’s the title theme for the expansion for sure
Letting Salvatori go is disgraceful. Whoever made that decision is woefully ignorant of the impact he’s had on this franchise.
Thank the Bungie suits (like the CEO) for that, I guarantee you the D2 team would've kept him if they could
His work is in the final shape.
He may have gone, but his music lives on, and he's enjoying his life as a beach bum in Florida, as he said. May he go knowing exactly how much of a legacy he made. Godspeed Michael.
@@CJWIIWe know
@@sparksjedi0694 bro he ain't dead 😅
I really really really hate how Michael got let go... He is one of the most talented composers in the industry and part of what makes Destiny so amazing.
yeah. he's a cunt shitbird, but his ost for d1 was stunningly good.
To be fair to him, he wouldnt have had a lot of work after this. The team is likely going to be down to a skeleton crew for the episodes and then who knows after that. They will need one hell of a compelling second story arc to replicate what they had with the light vs the dark. I think it probably was the right time for him.
And the fact that Sechrist left and now, Lewin left as well - the game is likely to end with these episodes if Im betting. And Ive been here since the beginning, this is a pivotal game in my life. But all good things must come to an end, and I think this is the beginning of the end.
Someone brought up that the truth was possible in how the composers wanted pay rise and Bungie couldnt support that or whatever. But yes on the topic of where Destiny goes from here that does confuse me how they have a 'publicly known' development but how after TFS focus from the Devs goes on Marathon. Searching engine for clarity
Dude, that first track by Salvatori literally brought me in tears haha. Its really been almost 8-9 years of me being a guardian, and probably so many others too. Thanks for the good times everyone, I'm glad we can all come together for one final round 😊
But Destiny isn't over after this just to clarify in case that's what you're thinking. It's still a pretty special moment though that I'm glad to have been a part of since D1 Alpha
@@ryancameron4170 But Salvatori is gone
I was in 8th grade when I first played Destiny back in 2014 and now I am graduating college in a month. Kind of ironic how 2 journeys are coming to a close for me and new one's are beginning.
@@punchykarma6685I was also in eighth grade when I found Destiny, but in 2020 instead on 2014. And now I'm graduating high school. Kinda similar situations, just yours is better.
@weirdo7319 Unfortunately, this is true, but there are still other good composers left.
Almost 10 years… this is it, fellas. Finish the fight.
Guardian? What are you doing in the traveler?
Commander, finishing this fight.
That Salvatore track is absolutely transcendent. Can’t believe the Final Shape is actually on the horizon, after all these years. Finish the fight!
"I can't garuntee a ride home, but if you're coming, the City needs you now."
"I'll find my own ride home."
Who said that?
@@eranronen573 baby gronk
Hold on...Transformers: Dark of the Moon?? Or am I crazy? 😭
Salvatori will be missed, but at least we got one final expansion with his music.
He finished this saga with a bang
Man, that first track is making me emotional. It's an absolute crime that so many of the composers were let go last year. This really hits like a swan song.
That Salvatori track got me remembering the day I first saw destiny 1, it was a day in summer I was at my brother's apartment, he was playing prison of elders. In that moment I was watching him cast nova bomb and in that moment I immediately fell in love with the game, I started asking so many questions until I bought the game for my Xbox 360, I can't believe how long it's been since then.
I love that they're still keeping the Beyond Light motif. It's so beautiful
it's not the beyond light motif, that's the darkness motif. You'll notice that anything darkness related has that motif, it was even present before BL. it was just most prominent in BL.
@@wetswordfighter I was not talking about the Darkness horns. I was talking about Beyond Light's main theme.
You clearly didn't hear it or listen to the whole thing close enough. It's at 9:24
It's a signature motif for Skye, BL is where she sorta came into her own.
@@celestial_blade Ah mb
@@celestial_blade I did not expect to get shivers for that motiff. Mannnnn are they really hitting me with the motiffs in final shape
I really liked Pieter Schlosser’s part, it really plays into the dynamic of the guardian against this new faction.
Hope vs Dread
Same, I think it has a more "disturbing" vibe as opposed to an oppressive one from other darkness themed music
true, also felt like a good representation of prismatic via motifs. Guardian theme warping into darkness theme
The first track made me tear up. It might be really emotional for me when i finish the expansion. There were many misteps in this 10 year run but i have just as many if not more, great experiences.
2014-2024. No other looter shooter stood out to me during this run. I hope this expansion can be as special as the first time I played Destiny 🤞
10:30 holy crap, The Path?!
I didn't know seeing cayde standing in the speaker's old area would make me happy
MAN that last track is fantastic. I can't stop looping that. All of this is so good, never a miss from the music team. Salvatori will be missed, I hope he can find some good work soon and continue bringing us amazing music somewhere in gaming or beyond
2:26 Groot flipping us the bird
Right side of screen
I can't unsee it now
I knew the music was final shape wow beautiful, emotional and passionate with the music design for this expansion. Been a hell of a ride everyone, let’s make this fight count, In the words of spartan 117 it’s time to “finish the fight”.
You tell 'em, chief!!
*takes a puff off a crayon like a cigar* “I need a weapon.”
That first track sounds like our new title screen music. If true, I can't wait for the day 1 queue.
I prefer the Salvatori and Josh tracks. They provide such a sense of nostalgia, like it was music all the way back in D1. A sense of mysticism and hope. Something that hasn’t been within Destiny for a long, long time.
lots of stuff happend to destiny that annoyed me but i moved on, but i will never recover of letting Salvatori go :(
1 - Tower Music
2 - Campaign OST (With Dialogue) - Mission Start
3 - Campaign OST (Tension) - This is a modifier not a full release (Scorn enemies here)
4 - Campaign OST + The Final Shape (Tension) - I think its not a full release, maybe a Mix of something
5 - "New Tower" OST (?) (First Look)
In recent years I've always been trying to get the songs right based on the rhythm and the message they want to say. Lightfall was the DLC that I got the most right based on Music alone, including the Raid. I'll come back here after a few months to find out if I got it right this time or if these songs are all Mix
I think the first track will be the Title Screen music
@@PriestOfOn I would think about it if it had a more intense rhythm according to the music. However, there is only one Layer, the Drums were not in this song, at least in this Stream version.
@@PriestOfOnit would have to be longer imo
The last one feels like music we’ll hear when we enter the traveler. The dissonant choir in the beginning and end are a motif of the traveler
Second i think fits either an Orbit theme or a strike theme.
The first song is absolutely beautiful. This is a good song to listen to while watching the sunset under a tree on a cool windy day. I feel like this song will definitely be the first song you hear when you go to orbit than the title screen in my opinion.
Gone fishin' 😢
The first one sounds so similar to something you'd hear in Battlefield 1
I knew I couldn’t be the only one who noticed that 😂
THATS EXACTLY WHAT I WAS THINKING
Yeah almost exactly the same as "The Flight Of The Pigeon" from BF1
True
Was JUST thinking that, sounds almost identical lmao
I literally tear up with the first track. Been playing this game for years. Got attached to its characters and stories. All to this moment
I will bring my first d1 Exotic to finish this light and dark saga! For this final fight I will bring my Hawkmoon! Thank you Michael Salvatori for everything! See you guardians star side
Unfortunately for me, both my first weapon and armour exotic that I earned in D1, aren’t in D2 LMAO.
(Universal Remote and Light Beyond Nemesis)
Once I get Khvostov, I’m resetting my character and replaying the entire game.
I will run my OG build
Song of Flame
Sunbracers
Khvostov.
Pieter Schlosser’s is just so goated, I can’t get over it. The Forsaken vibes are really strong in it, too. It’s fantastic and my favorite of the preview tracks.
Man was super hopeful to see a preview for the soundtrack today with the livestream. Glad that was the case.
The soundtrack by Mosser lowkey sounds like it could be the title screen soundtrack
Track one sounds like "Flight of The Pigeon" from Battlefield 1. Look up the song and play from 34 seconds in and you'll hear the same motif. It's 100% unintentional, but I would recognize those beautiful notes a mile away!
I'm so glad it wasn't just me. That's where my brain Instanlty went
Salvatori will be remembered in this soundtrack
The beyond light motifs all of Lewin’s first track are very interesting. I wonder if there’s an entire mission in the Europa area?
They’re throughout Pieter’s track as well, definitely interesting
I think there is, it was showcased briefly in the presentation with Prismatic
Edit: or its an area in the pale heart made to look like Europa?
@@dredgenmoist1464 they did say the pale heart is based off our own experiences, so it wouldn’t shock me if there’s a europan spot since that’s where we discovered stasis

In Micheal Salvatori piece I love the part at 0:44 Reminds me of Tree of Possibilities and The Tangled Shore.
Yes, that motif in there is one of my favorites! I always loved how it was in two of my favorite tracks back in the day, and this one will probably end up being no different.
I pre ordered final shape. Im honestly excited for it. Going to see it through to the end.
Holy shit dude the Luna intro at 10:32
Wow yea, part of the original destiny theme
I truly can’t imagine Bungie without Salvatori it will not be the same after this.
Sometimes I forget that it's been almost 10 years :,]
I'm excited for this!!!
Thank you so much for this! I've been wanting this since I heard it.
This is a great preview. I really hope that we get some melodies from Music of the Spheres in some of the tracks we haven't heard yet. Thank you for this, Breshi!
You are gem man!!!! The stream was 2:30am for me and as I was hearing this I could not sleep!
More than 10 years playing Destiny, since elementary school, the first time I learned about the game was thanks to the concept art of the fallen and the spider tank, I remember that when Destiny came out and they talked about Darkness, I imagined a dark enemy race one day, when you downloaded Destiny you got the concept art of the pyramids, from that moment I knew that this was darkness, since then I imagined that it was that evil until the arrival of red war and the post credits that confirmed it, finally we are going to have that faction of darkness and the Witness, it has been a very long road, I will see you in the Pale Heart guys.
There are 10 days left until the departure of the TFS.
Sounds amazing. I can't wait to hear the rest. Thank you for the upload!
Hearing motifs from the tangled shore and Europa make me believe that we are for sure going to get twisted pale heart versions of those locations at least somewhere.
Tree of probabilities at 0:45
God, that last but in Mosser track sounds like a paracausal heartbeat. Has me on edge about what it could mean for the Traveler
Anyone else get Battlefield 1 feels from Michael's composition?
0:00 maybe the Tower theme
2:14 maybe patrol (Dark)
5:17 maybe patrol (Dark)
8:35 light action mission music? (Dark)
10:25 patrol music? (Light)
Hah, i learned to start looking for your comments
@@eranronen573 Heh, gotta know where these OSTs played, I will continue in The Final Shape too!

Can't be the only one...
Search BFV Legacy soundtrack and go to 2:15 and the first 20 secs or so of this are so similar it brings me peace.
I love the all the callbacks, especially to Beyond Light
Eramis is not dead 😎
been waiting for this
That first track sounds an awful lot like one of the songs found in Battlefield 1 and i'm ready for another emotional rollercoaster to end the saga. Battlefield 1 was the last game i played that hit me that hard in the feels. Destiny hasn't done that since the perfect paradox mission with saint 14
Goddamn Pieter Schlosser was cooking
Destiny's music is my heart and soul made into sound
Another amazing Breshi W!
Legend
2:52 sound identical to Halo 2 for second there.
Damn this soundtrack is gonna have me crying every mission isn't it?
seeing salvatori's name on that first track, ffs bungo
Lost, but not forgotten.
"Never Forget," Halo 3, Martin O'Donnell and Michael Salvatori
@@Spooqibelieve it or not, Never Forget was one of Salvatori's Halo tracks, so it totally fits
The first track sounds like it will be the title music.
Honestly despite the fact I hate destiny with a strongly will it's the only franchise that has kept with me these years and that is what like about it the nostalgia I have for destiny is alot since I started playing on the ps3 but really late since I joined June of 2019 and but back then I didn't have destiny 2 and I only had destiny 1.
I bet the first track is the title screen theme, its beautiful
The first and last ones sound good, the rest sound very Destiny-ish, nothing we haven't heard before.
8:24 I swear I hear a little bit of shadow thief. I both hope I'm just tired and it isn't, and also that it Is and we get one final showdown with our mostly-robotic rival
And there’s tons of Europa motifs in that track… 😭 is taniks really the final shape?
wonder what the beyond light motif is doin here 9:24
I've always associated Look Within with being our theme whenever we use the Darkness. The Witness is the one that gave us Stasis and gave us all the tools to master it so it may be a callback to that of some sort.
We might get a twisted Europa style area somewhere in the pale heart! Or it’s just a “guardian using darkness” theme!
yes michael salvatori’s work is phenomenal. iconic. outstanding. but bungie may want a new kind of sound after TFS. or this could a be a heads up that after TFS and its episodes, bungie is only gonna be around to keep the lights on. it sucks, but it’s something we really need to consider.
This is making me cry well done well fuckingbdonen
7:50 the sudden tone shift caught off guard.
All of these tracks are so iconic, even without the proper layers
Curious what you mean by "proper layers". These should sound relatively the same in Final Shape. :)
@@Breshi123 that’s interesting. To me they either sounded like ambience/action missing the main layers or a new take on tension tracks.
Finish the fight gardians
the first, fourth and fith soundtrack has title screen type music
Feels very halo and destiny
3:36 i love the stop in that theme, just like in a lot of the root of nightmare tracks.
I honestly believe track 2 might be an ambient track in the raid. Similar to the Scission ambience track, it really has a lot of the similar feels
Edit: wow alright track 3 is also extremely reminiscent of the RoN ambience tracks. The dissonance is definitely not something i think theyd use in anything outside of a raid. Its aggresively uncomfortable lmao, but thats the entire point.
Michael literally showed us what heaven actually sounds like.
Are we actually gonna hear those tracks in the final shape? Is this a leak?
I remember being a kid, walking my dog, thinking - I’ll be playing this game 10 years from now.
How about that.
Michael Salvatori >>>>>
Still cant believe we end up colonizing our god.
Also the music goes HARD
Hey Breshi, can you also publish the combat version, like the subjugator fight.
There's no clean versions available. These tracks were recorded before and after the showcase before it started. Action tracks for TFS are gonna go nuts hopefully
@@Deltadog55 Aw man, that sucks. Well nevermind at least we got this beautiful music right here.
The first one gives me major Battlefield 1 vibes. The initial motif is pretty much 1-1 with BF1's main theme.
It's definitely a shame they laid off Michael Salvatori, but it's still important to recognize the immense talent of the other composers. The soundtrack going forward may be different but in no way worse.
this message is to all my fellow guardians its been an honor to fighting along side you against the darkness but its been one hell of a ride my friends I'll miss all of my fellow guardians and I'll remember all the good times we had I'm proud to be part of the destiny universe so guardians eyes up
Hey Breshi, I only know a few Destiny based music channels so I wanted to see if maybe I could ask for your help finding something.
I'm trying to determine what the soundtrack for the hydra (boss) encounter at the end of the seasonal misson "Synchysis" is, and if it's a mix, a motif in a tone, or it's own custom track.
Ontop of that I'm not even sure if it's just a randomly played track/mix from season of the wish and sounds from forsaken that I got there or if it is indeed a unique one.
If you're not sure or can't help that's fine, if anyone else here thinks they know I'd be very appreciative of your help in my search, and thanks for reading
Hey Austin!
The "Synchysis" mission uses the same music heard in the Riven's Lair and The Coil activities which reuse Dreaming City destination music from Forsaken.
The track you're looking for would be the "action" intensity for one of the following cues:
- The Dreaming City
- Shaper of Wishes
- Of Starlight and the Dark
- Uncorrupted
- Keep of Voices
- Mists of Memory
- Watchtower
- Accursed
Happy hunting!
@@Breshi123 Thank you so much! I really appreciate your help, I found what I was looking for :3
any chance you have or know the soundtrack that plays with today's new cut scene?
It's called "All Ends Are Beginnings" from the original Destiny 1 soundtrack, and is the first half of "Untold Legends" from the same soundtrack. They took an existing drum loop and put it on top of it.
@@AtlyxMusic so that's why it sounds familiar 😯 thanks!
my speculations on these now that we have the names SPOILER WARNING IF YOU CARE
1st: After All This Time - new Tower theme
2nd: A Gentle Kingdom - Patrol/Campaign theme
3rd: The Dread - Campaign track when you first encounter the rest of the Dread (like how in Lightfall, Unholy Alliance played when you first encountered a Tormentor)
4th: A Knife in the Garden - Patrol theme (has both light and dark motifs, so probably plays in the second area?)
5th: Hope in Bloom/Meditation on Bravery - Patrol theme

These are just from the roll playing before the live stream, right? Are the names you've attached to them just based off of the source of the motifs they use?
