I was 13 years old when I first read X-Men issue 141 and it blew me away! Now we have the film coming up in 2 weeks based off this story! Absolutely incredible!

The inclusion of Franklin Richards death makes this story so disappointing. I really enjoyed the movie and the marvel explained episode on Richards but after that, all i can say is HOW?? How do you kill a being who created another universe?! Lol
Franklin was a secondary character at that time (1981), he didn't have the great powers he has now, dumb
and plus if Franklin Richards was wearing that collar then Franklin Richards power would of been turned off

I think it will be decent. At the end of the day though, it is a fox film.

This was such a good movie with a MASSIVE plot twist.

I used to have tons of Spider Man comics and X-Men from the mid 80s-90s but my dad thew them out, and my younger brothers are asking me about comics, so I will have them subscribe to your channel since we don't talk everyday cause we live in different states. Xmen movies are so messed up; where is the Rogue we all know and love; and what is with their depiction of Juggernaught; it was just terrible.

Yea they messed up Rogue bigtime, I think she was too OP for them to write her in the movie. They also left Gambit out of the xmen fold. And don't even get started on Juggernaut, they couldnt even get his colour right.

I am shocked so different then the animation series, usually they try to follow the comic book more so then the movies. Enlightening!
You mentioned that Xavier wasn't in the DAFP comic story line. If my memory is correct, he appeared in the first few pages where he attempted to pacify his aggressors in front of the school. He was then blown away (i was shocked) while sitting in his wheel chair 😭.

Miss this intro
At least the new movie doesn't feature an actual time machine like the animated series did. Bryan Singer is trying to get closer than that cartoon.
The reason they used bishop instead of kitty on the show cuz they didnt know how to add a new character without explanation they did add alot of X-Men characters in thats supposed to be xmen but didnt know who they were to confusing I love the show reasons why I started collecting marvel but xmen comics were to boring even though they had awesome artist but as far as X-Men went they had some of the best stories best characters but to confusing
cheprock I grew up mostly watching the animated series too. The same goes for the old Fox Spider-Man series. I really don't like what the new movies have done to Spider-Man. For a live-action Spider-Man, I was very satisfied with the Tobey and Raimi films. And I LOVE what Bryan Singer has done with X-Men. Even in the weaker X-Men: Last Stand, when we see the Danger Room, when the simulation ends, it looked like something right out of the animated series. And on a side note, if and when the movies retire Wolverine - which would suck, I hope they retire Mystique. In the X-Men lore, both Wolverine and Mystique are rebels at heart. In place of Mystique, I hope they introduce Morph into the series. Do you remember him from the animated series? He wasn't actually in the original comic book. But, I think he was a wonderful addition to the X-Men universe.
Luke M I like morph but he was created for the show he was made to take place of mimic I think but I like the show xmen movie I like it cuz they brought it to life the days of future past was a excellent movie even though they screwed it up I wish they had some characters from the comics and iceman tripped me out but all the mutants were awesome and if u haven't seen it I won't spoil it there's a website watch32 to watch movies I'm always busy but I would love to watch this at the movies and buy it

Mimic? Yeah. That was a cool character. What I liked about Morph was that he was a weasel.
I don't care that he was introduced in the Fox cartoon. He should be considered canon.

As far as I'm concerned, Kitty has that power now. The movie introduced it to us. It's no different than the radical changes Marvel has been making to Captain America, Thor and now Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch.

What will the world of days past future past future would respond to galactus or thanos trying to devoured or destroy the planet?
I liked Days of Futute Past. However i am more then a little miffed. They killed off Clarice's character so fast. She is certainly an interesting character. One which plays an important role in key earth changing events. Also if anyone wants Apocalypse dead its Clarice.
Both her parents & brother were killed in the horseman's death camps. She was also a test subject in Mr. Sinaster's lab. Not to mention being the leader of the exiles. In addition to being a valued member of the X-Men. Technically she could reappear i suppose. As her character crossed several timelines.
Clarice aka Blink was among the X-Men strike force that stormed Apocalypse's citadel to hopefully return reality to normal. Apocalypse was killed and Bishop went back in time to prevent the death of Charles Xavier. Something that was supposed to revert reality back to normal.
Instead, the mission resulted the divergence of Earth-616 from Earth-295. Making them distinct realities. Then you add Holocaust, Blastaar, Weapon X, Phalanx Harvest into the mix. All of which Blink has had dealings with. Makes her an intriguing character. That not even counting her being a descendant of apocalypse. So they could tie in a number of other story arks here as well.

I think you are a little off on your Tony Stark view. In the beginning of the Avengers, Stark covered the finance and housing of the team. Also he was the tech supplier for SHEILD. At the moment only Bruce Banner is a match as the big brain in the Marvel/Disney film-verse. After watching the 2 Capt America films and the Avengers, you can see Steve Rogers slowly adjusting to his new time line, which is leading to him being the natural leader of the team.
Now it looks like Sony’s reboot of Spiderman, is laying the ground work of our hero. Although there will be no crossovers, if it is done correct, we will see why Spiderman is the flag bearer for the Marvel universe!
So in other words....Days of future past was the beginning of the end for good comics as it gave birth eventually to things like maximum carnage and the clone saga

Its a slowed down version of Short Change Hero by The Heavy; off of their album The House That Dirt Built. Also featured as the intro song in Borderlands 2. & my personal choice as a "Heading into Battle Song" i.e. for a Pokemon Battle ^_^

It's kind of funny how they change so much in the movie. Instead of 1980 they said 1973. If you do not know the comic you will be fool to believe the movie. What a shame.
the more you know about x men and how good the property really is the more i dislike the portrayal of the x men some movies have been ok but overall on the big screen its been horribly mishandled and only a few characters have really been developed after all these years Magneto Xavier Wolverine and Mystique. this product deserves a true vision when that movie happens it will be one of the best superheroes movies ever made.

Based on the comic panel you showed, the Sentinels also killed Tony Stark / Iron Man, but Stark didn't have any special powers. Why was he a target?
Also, another CZcams video about the 10 most powerful beings in the Marvel Universe claims that Franklin Richards is ranked 3rd or 4th (can't remember), just behind the One-Over-All and the Living Tribunal, and well above Thanos and other heavy-hitters. Do you agree?

OK so I'm confused about one thing. Franklin Richards was one of the surviving mutants in the future. But according to what I've seen in your videos Franklin Richards is all powerful; altering reality, time traveling, etc. So how does he not just take care of the sentinel problem with the snap of a finger? Either blink the sentinels out of existence or time travel to prevent it all from even happening.

Too bad the movie copped out and designated Mystique as the basis for the Super sentinels, which is absurd: Rogue had the power to absorb powers, like the super sentinels were doing, not Mystique. That pissed me off.

I was disappointed in how the film turned out - I would have loved to see more of older wolverine running around the dystopian new york in the future being hunted *and killed* by sentinels
