I didn't mention this, but i experienced no issues with default riser cards, and it looks like the issue is now resolved. If you have any questions or feedback. Please leave in the comments below. Thanks for watching 👀
Fantastic build, love that Fractal Ridge case
Thanks, there's alot to love here. Can't wait to try out custom cooling.
Nice one, I hope this channel receives the attention it deserves.
Thank you. Sadly, that's upto CZcams algorithm to determine
Nice build! Just one note of constructive criticism: negative Curve Optimizer settings do not equate directly to voltage, so your CPU setting would better be expressed as "-25 C.O." or something similar. I'm running a 7600X in an SFF build and employed a similar strategy, although I wound up having to do a lot of trial and error with per-core C.O. settings to attain OCCT stability.
This makes sense for graphs, thank you 🙏. This was all core offset. An easy way to reduce temps while maintaining all core performance, even improving over stock.
Very nice build! Fantastic job on the cable management.
Just something unrelated to the build: I think different music would suit your videos way more. Some Synthwave for example!
Beautiful build!
Do you notice any additional turbulence noise with the AXP120, when the side panel is closed? Thanks you.
Maybe a little, which is probably why I ran 60% vs. 70% fan speed
Thanks for the review! How would you compare this to the Dan A4-H2O case, for air cooling builds only? Considering between these for my next ITX build.
Thanks. The Ridge is better than A4-H2O for air cooling setups. It has much better CPU cooler clearance and GPU compatability. Those top 80mm fans supported in Ridge are also really nice but weren't really needed for my setup. Hope this helps.
I really like this case, but I doubt if the PCIe riser interface doesn't reduce the GPU speed ?
It doesn't
pretty sweet. used have a A4 case, but low profile cpu cooler just cant beat full tower when it comes to noise.
went back to my nr200 and never looked back. but yeah cool.
I love traditional layout ITX cases, too. That said, noise is subjective, and you can run fans as loud or quiet as you like, with slight thermal penalty or improvement. For living room PC, I'd of definitely gone with 7600X instead.
Fractal Ridge and the Fractal North are honestly things of beauty. I have a massive industrial-looking Fractal Torrent and it makes me mega jealous to see these aesthetic looking cases release just after I finished selecting my parts! The Ridge is definiltey in my sights for a home server build though.
I kind of like the Torrent style myself, and I agree the North and Ridge are more elegant 👌 and it's badly priced either at $130 with 4.0 riser.
Fractal Torrent has too much plastic to be industrial-looking...
I like the looks of north quite a bit myself but the space inside the torrent is something I wouldn't give up for better looks. Doesn't hurt that it keeps everything nice and cool inside the case with the included fans also.
@badtz maru yes, definitely has some Fractal North vibes.
I've been looking to get the ridge but they are out of stock everywhere atm, any recommendations on where I can find one or just keep waiting until they're more widely available?
What's your region?
@@L91 united states.
@Glazed it arrived in US first, so I'd expect restocking first. I'd recommend reaching out to Fractal on social media for update
@@L91 thank you for your help and response.
Was it an option at all to put in the 80mm fans or not enough room with your graphics card?
With this configuration, yes. Depends on GPU height to whether you can fit them up top. I just didn't have any at the time
a 7700x with a 3060 is so silly you really want a 4070 and rx 7600 for better performance
It's 3060 Ti, which is substantially better than 3060. People can run whatever setup they choose in reality. I went with 7700X to see how it would work in such a setup.
