  • I this video I turn a piece from a wound on a large beech tree. Interesting turn as I was not 100% convinced this piece would be able to hold it's self together under the strain. but a combination of low speed and careful cuts sees the project come to a beautiful finish

      Thanks Douglas I tried to do as little as possible to the original item and just enough to make it a bowl. There was a fin line In how much material I could remove from the bowl whilst retaining its integrity 👍thank you for watching and taking the time to comment

      Yes Doug it was Beech and it did cut well Some bumps over the inclusions but not so bad A very enjoyable turn
