- I this video I turn a piece from a wound on a large beech tree. Interesting turn as I was not 100% convinced this piece would be able to hold it's self together under the strain. but a combination of low speed and careful cuts sees the project come to a beautiful finish

Thanks Douglas I tried to do as little as possible to the original item and just enough to make it a bowl. There was a fin line In how much material I could remove from the bowl whilst retaining its integrity 👍thank you for watching and taking the time to comment

Love the bowl. Any idea what wood it is? Reminds me of apple but probably not right. Looks like it cut well.
Yes Doug it was Beech and it did cut well Some bumps over the inclusions but not so bad A very enjoyable turn
