Hello, I'm from Japan. I would like to ask if it is possible for a Japanese student to obtain a bachelor's degree in European Studies. The university website states that if students are from outside the EU, they must take the SAT, but I was wondering what SAT score they would need. Thank you.

You can always reach out to internationalprogrammes@kuleuven.be for questions. We currently do not offer a bachelor in Medicine in English however. This programme is only available in Dutch, since you need to be able to have conversations with local patients.

Hi, I currently don't have a passport (only a national ID) and the thing is, in my country, passports can't be issued for my case UNLESS there is a proof that you got accepted some where. So, is my National ID sufficient? at least at first, cause I will be able to apply for a passport, scan it and send it to you once I got approved with KU Leuven.

Hi, I'm from Turkey. I would like to ask if it is possible to submit with my national turkish high-school diploma (not IB either not AP or whatsoever, just simple diploma) to the english bachelor's program(eng. tech.) I've heard that KUL doesn't accept turkish national high-school diploma. KUL doesnt see the diploma eligible, heard rumors that only AP and IB is valid. But can i still apply with my national high-school turkish diploma, SAT and IELTS score to the english bachelor engineering technology program?
Hi, we allow all diploma's, not only IB. However, there are additional requirements for every programme. Only students that meet all requirements (including test scores for GMAT, GRE...) for the programme they're interested in, can be accepted.
Hi, my name is Mahmud, I'm from Dhaka, Bangladesh. I have completed my O levels and AS levels, and will be sitting for my A2 levels next June, God willing. I want to apply to KU Leuven for next fall, but my school doesn't issue proper predicted grades for A2 until early March, so can I apply with my AS Level and SAT scores along with my Grade 9-11 transcripts, and then when I receive my final (grade 9-12) transcripts, send them to the admissions office? Hi Mahmud, you can certainly apply before you have your final transcripts and degrees. In case your application is accepted, you will receive a conditional approval and will need to provide the necessary documents later before being granted a final approval.

Hi Zakariae, keep in mind that there is a difference between a professional and an academic bachelor degree. A professional bachelor doesn't usually give direct access to a master degree, so you'll sometimes have to do a bridging programme. Yes, you can apply before graduating. However, one of the conditions to start the programme will always be that you obtained your bachelor degree. Upon enrolment you'll have to show your bachelor degree.

Hi Audry, I'm afraid there are no exceptions to the English requirement scores. This is done to protect students, as a good level of English is absolutely necessary to be able to follow the lessons and pass the exams.

Hello! I'm from Portugal and completed high school in science and technology. I want to apply for medicine studies in Belgium, KU Leuven. I would like to know what the documents and language requirements are, as well as the dates to apply, and whether I need to take any exams.
KU Leuven only offers a bachelor of Medicine in Dutch, not in English. All students that wish to apply for this programme need to take the entry exam, which is also in Dutch. More on that exam here: toelatingsexamenartstandarts.be/

Hi, you need to proof your proficiency in Dutch before being allowed into the programme I'm afraid. If you don't speak Dutch fluently, it will be difficult to be admitted into any of our Dutch programmes. If you don't speak Dutch, I would recommend looking at our English programmes (for which, of course, you also need to take an English language test)

You can apply before submitting language test results, but you need to fill in the date you're taking the test. In any case, we advice you to upload results asap.

You can add your certificate after applying, but it is in your best interest not to wait too long with this, since you can only get a conditional approval as long as you don't add a language certificate. Hi, I am originally from Belgë, I was born here, But I had done my high school from india, last year I had corona due to which my studies were drastically impacted (but still I some how maked it work) I have pcb (physics, chemistry, Biology) subjects.
Will they let me take admission with low grades in my high school diploma? If there is any evaluation exam to check students level I am ready to take a part into it. Feeling demotivated don't know what to do?

Hi Nav, we don't take your high school grades into account, so you don't have to worry about that. You do however need to meet the admission requirements stated by the programme you are interested in, and they differ from programme to programme. For our international programmes, no Dutch is required since they are entirely in English. You can check all our programmes and their requirements on our website.

Hi Çağrı, if you did not take at least one full year of your secondary school (age 12-18) in Dutch, you indeed need to take a language test to proof your proficiency in Dutch before you are allowed to enter any of our Dutch language programmes.

So You accept Asian students for bachelor of medicine program?
We do not discriminate based on nationality for any of our programmes. The bachelor of medicine however is only available in Dutch, not in English. You need to pass the entrance exam in Dutch to be able to enroll in this programme, regardless of your nationality.

Hi i applied already with a prove that I'm to take the English test. I took the English test and got 6.5 what is needed for my program is 6.5 and above. My problem now is i got 5.5 in one of my sub scores ( reading) then 7, 7.5 and 6.5 in speaking, listening and writing respectively. Will that be a problem?

Hi, computer science is offered at the master level when you have obtained a bachelor degree in engineering. You could apply for a Bachelor of Engineering Technology, which also has a specialisation in Electronics and ICT Engineering from the second year onwards.

Hi, In general, it is not possible to submit an application with the intention to start in the second semester. All students start the academic year in September. The only programme at KU Leuven that starts in second semester is the Master of Rehabilitation Sciences and Physiotherapy’s Preparatory programme.
