LRH lived with Jack Parsons, Rocket Scientist & Genius, Satanist & founder of the OTO in California. LRH ran off with Parson’s girlfriend &$ 20,000 and Parsons put a curse on him and conjured up a storm, forcing them back to shore as they sailed off to sea! Parsons later blew himself up during a pyrotechnic experiment after being disgraced and fired as a rocket scientist! Some have speculated foul play in Parson’s death as the explosion came from under the floor boards and not where Parsons and his occult items were blown to bits!

If you’ve had any curiosity about it you’d have known. And this Jon gets several things wrong. First of all, Parson called himself the anti-Christ. He wanted to summon the whore of Babalon (spelled that way not because Crowley- a very well educated man and also British intelligence assets- couldn’t spell but rather that spelling it that way has a greater numerological significance in gematria than the Babylon spelling). Well, actually the Babalon workings were done after Hubbard stole Parson’s girlfriend from him, where he then tried to summon or evoke a fire elemental to have a child with- who parson believed would’ve been the Whore of Babalon. However, I could go down that rabbit hole for several paragraphs, and I simply don’t care enough. I’ve literally know this information since I was in middle school. It’s not like it’s new or hidden to those that don’t have the interest to learn it.

Very difficult to leave a cult. Following a "strong" leader in a close knit same thinking group is very comforting and reassuring in a scary, unpredictable world. I was involved in a small spiritual cult group for 10 years. Then i saw the light. I gained a lot but sacrificed a lot more. But am stronger and wiser for the experience.

The safest route to bringing someone out of a cult is paralleling: avoid any direct mention of the group they are in but show them material about another group. Many years ago when I intervened for members, I would show Captive Hearts - Hypnosis and Beyond (czcams.com/video/5Px6VPPVnfE/video.html) to give a general view of the methods of control. It has not aged well (those lapels! and the hair!) but it makes useful points. I'd then show a documentary about Rajneesh. People need the information without having their beliefs challenged. My Opening Our Minds may be useful or, for non-Scientologists, Scientology: The Cult of Greed. One of our UK experts uses both of these. Steve Hassan's Freedom of Mind is a good read on this subject too.

Its good to see you are fearless and I am totally on your side. You could call me a Christian Gnostic that believes in God and that one day I will have to stand before God. however I also believe that with some rotten beings out their that you really have to fight fire with fire and give them a good dose of spiritual fire when needed only done with righteous and just action. I once visited the Cornish witch museum, they hold Crowleys Quija boards and his tools of magic for want of a better way of explaining them. There are skulls, wands, horns etc ..
I felt OK and quite excited walking around the museum, until I stood infront of a sealed display case full of Crowleys Quija boards. I started feeling hot, sweaty, dizzy and sick it was awful. I didn't notice at first that I was standing in the Crowley section of the museum so I know my mind didn't influence me. I can feel energy but I didn't expect that! I honestly thought that Crowley had been hyped up in the media to sound worse than he was.
Sadly, I had to leave the building so, I didn't get to see everything at the museum but its an excellent place to visit if you can stomach the evil tools of Crowley. It was the darkest feeling I have ever felt.. What ever he invited in using those boards still lingers, they are vile

One can't live their entire existence holding hands with Satan, while also being a degenerate reprobate and doing a whole lot of other demonic things for which many are not even aware of. That's the false church and false doctrine they're listening to, when one cannot sit at the table of the Lord and the table of demons too. He died before I was born but, although he was a hard working basically good man...he learned some "gypsy magic" or "chaos magic" that he's explained to my Nan. My Nan was such a good Catholic woman she's never rip someone off but, what she did learn was reading people and when she was in a potentially dangerous situation she was able to call on this "magic" (she had an incredibly long memory and if she saw a lesson she'd remember it and store it in her brain) This "magic" can be best described as inserting a thought or idea into someone's subconscious mind...quick change artists, con-men, magic performance, fortune tellers etc....my grandmother was a young widow and men would try to take advantage of or women, especially a widow with 5 kids to raise alone...she was able to put fear or intimidation into the minds of someone with bad intentions. It's a mild form of mind control....and it terrified her. She said although it possible saved her and her kids from danger....it made her feel dirty.

I think you're confusing ritual magic to control others and normal routines.
It's all about intentions like deciding to renovate your old decor in your home to freshen it up and create a good atmosphere.
Unfortunately for you, if you want to write you are now spell-ing words to convey meaning to others. Didn't you just claim that only "bad witches" cast spells?
Get thee back with thine spelling ye auld hag! 😂

Fascinating interview, Andrew, but it had some wild errors, not on your part, BTW. Aleister Crowley (not a fan), went to Trinity College Cambrdige and was definitely not illiterate. He explained his reasons for spelling Magic as Magick ad nauseum. His being a highly disturbed psychopath, II don't dispute, but he was not unable to spell. He was high functioning in many ways, but perhaps the most boring writer of all time. Just something that irked me, please forgive my nit picking. Even he could not associate with Hubbard, which speaks a million words, no matter how they are spelled. Hubbard did steal from Crowley, who had previously stolen from others. The world's least pleasant conga line.

I've been obsessed with Jack Parsons and his life, and peripheral acquaintances for a long time. Not sure why, I am not a thelemic practitioner or ceremonial magician, but Parson's was surrounded by so many fascinating occurances and people (Crowley, Hubbard, the JPL & rocket science, and the most interesting of Jack's circle his wife Marjorie Cameron. Her life is a cornucopia of the occult and art, etc...) Even Parson's death is surrounded by possible conspiracies. It's all so so interesting, and I could babble about it for hours. 😬🤪

There is a chain of stores on the West Coast of the US, Fred Meyer’s. The founder of those stores, Fred Meyer was a Rosicrucian. Fun fact, my mother was an executive at the chain and worked directly w/him for 5 or 6 years. She was also a Narcissist and possibly on the psychopathy spectrum. But, it is true about Mr. Meyer.
Ellen White, the founder of Seventh Day Adventist is said to have likely suffered from Temporal Lobe Epilepsy.

Fun fact the first President of Watchtower Society (now JWs) was also a Rosicrucuan!
Ive also heard that the original leaders of Shakers/Mormons/7th Day Adventists and ISBA (now JWs) all came from similar backgrounds /time period and were brought up in strict methodist religeons in their formative years.
Scientology is a more recent cult but interesting its founders background was always interested and practicing hypnotism and black magic which were also true of rosacrucians/free masons who formed these other cults
(Google watchtower black magic part 1 and part 2 - there was even someone at Bethel in 1950's that had an electrica device called a Radioclast that sounds similar to an e-meter!)

Hi guys, thanks very much, very interesting stuff from Jon Atack. I have read extensively on Manson and the “family” and have always thought that the links with Scientology are very predominant and important. So I eagerly await Jon’s book.
On Hubbard’s claims of curing ailments and addiction, Manson immediately took followers glasses and smashed them telling them they had no need for them, this is in many books as Jon will already know.
There are many other instances in Manson’s preachings and philosophies that are very similar if not exactly like Scientology. There was also a claim that Bruce Davies, one of his main followers traveled to London in the period to study Scientology despite having handed all his money and possessions to the family. I take it that would be a costly trip in the late sixties, especially for a group of hippies living from day to day on supposed free food from dumpsters.
Anyway very good stuff and thanks again.

However i put my dream down to having recently watched one of Andrew's interviews about TC - and not as an invitation to join Scientology! . Dreams are weird - but usually if you use your common sense you can find a rational reason for the context at least.
