- this is my first ever completed model. built in late 2008 and debuted at my first ever show in feb 2009. it's far from perfect but it was built before I knew what made a good competition model.

Damn! Make me wanna give up building these trucks after for 40 years since I was a kid. Or get really good at it. This set the bar really high.
Anyone else really impressed he got the hood to open correctly.
I started a scratch built covered wagon about 10 years ago to connect to a custom 377. Seen the real rig on the side of road (adjusting bungies) in Michigan when I was a long haul driver in late 90's. Never forget. It was nothing to fancy but the color and paint scheme just burned into my memory.
Have a few plans to build others I have seen and burned into memory.
I got about 150 kits of trucks and trailers to build. But I put so much detail into them, I doubt I'll get them all done before the big sleep. At which time my kids are to donate them to other truck model fans.

Where do you get your frame rails, cross members and suspension? I just received an freightliner fld120 I want to stretch and I don't care for the stock frame and would rather build my own. Also tried looking up where you got the wheels and didn't get any results. Do you have a link?

Fenders are from p&p resin and the tail panels are scratchbuilt
