    I forgot to mention there is also an experimental belt affix that reduces mobility skill cooldown by 1 second on potion use. You could use that with this setup potentially, could be interesting.

    I made a Runemaster after watching your videos. I had most of the gear in my stash already from farming on my Necromancer. I think I’m up to 980 corruption. It’s going slow, but easier than I thought it would be. Having fun but want some LP red rings to drop 😂

    Thank you for all of your in depth guides @FrozenSentinel ! When you say "Crit Capped" how do I determine that? Is that a stat on my character? Appreciate the insight!

    • @FrozenSentinel
      @FrozenSentinel  Před 27 dny +2

      It's your spell crit chance in char sheet, plus any lightning crit chance you have that doesn't show on char sheet * base crit.
      Eg. if spell crit is 95% and you have 40% lightning crit chance, and you have 4% crit chance prismatic gaze, you take 95% and add (40% * 9%) which would be 3.6% or 98.6% total

    Wow, that's awesome. I really want to play this build, but I'm on steam deck and just the skill fx alone would probably crash it within seconds XD

    Is there a limit to how high prophecies with high corruption can get to ? Like 350 or 500 corruption or it keeps going up endlessly ?

    • @FrozenSentinel
      @FrozenSentinel  Před 25 dny

      check my spreadsheet for the prophecy event list. IIRC the highest prophecy is 320 but that doesn't mean rewards don't continue increasing beyond that.

    Yo also ive been trying to make a +4 elemental nova crest of unity +6
    For a total of +10
    Think you could brain storm a build for elemental nova ? Using +10 helm +3 unstable core +1 enigma+1 twisted heart for a total of 36 to elemental nova and + 28 to twisted heart . Ive failed 4 times at the +4 crest of unity lol but i really wanna make one .
    See if theres any kinda tech i can use from it .
    Maybe an actual elemental nova build ?

      I dunno, beyond a certain point the extra nodes don't provide much value, they don't all synergize

  • @kamm3021
    @kamm3021 Před 27 dny +1

    Not sure about this, he's using this for 5500 corruption which most people will never reach
    Most people are at 200-300 max
    Recently got 4LP ladle, so cast speed + spell crit and lightening penetration and what's the 4th skill should be ? Shok or ignite or chill or blind ?

    • @FrozenSentinel
      @FrozenSentinel  Před 27 dny +1

      Eh it's just for fun / theory craft at this point. The amount of gear required to get to this point makes it impractical for most people anyway. I'd generally say to go for ladle. That said, if you don't have high INT, the ladle cast speed bonus is less relevant.
      4th probably blind

    That's a great take on wrongwarp frost claw runemaster, focusing on cooldown recovery speed.
    I feel that spamming teleport is not feasible when grinding corruption. The reason is that you would not be able to get out of trouble during that cooldown recovery window. As we go to higher, and higher corruption, the monsters are much harder to kill, and spamming teleport provides a wiggle room for them to land their attacks since not all enemies will be stunned by the teleport.
    I also focused on dodge rating, which provided a secondary layer of defense that prevents activation of flame ward through stun from high damage. The problem with core of the mountain in my opinion is that it triggers on any damage (low or high). I believe that dodge rating would really help in your take of the wrongwarp build.
    I agree that imperial watchers are the worst enemies for this build. The mirror images from teleport work on imperial watchers, and some of the more troublesome enemies.

    • @FrozenSentinel
      @FrozenSentinel  Před 27 dny +2

      Yea if we just hold down our Frost Claw attack and teleport without any movement at all, we can get into trouble pretty quickly, this is same as your version. It find it just allows us to spend more time attacking and generally build larger ward numbers with immunity uptime.
      We can still get out of trouble during the 1sec immune window if we put ourselves into a bad spot with the warp, I find this generally works very well to spam, then when there is more danger we can reposition within that safety window, and kite. Then 0.9 sec later we can re-initiate with stun.
      Many monsters can't even get an attack off in 0.9 seconds which means they are effectively perma stunned.
      I also focused pretty heavily on armor over dodge, as I would like this to be a viable arena pusher. One thing I noticed with your setup is that it's generally okay most of the time, then one hit makes it through your dodge when Flameward is down, and you instantly die from high ward. That inconsistency I think makes it not ideal for something like Arena where "eventually" something will make it through, and your run will end. Though it may be better for echos, as it doesn't matter if you die occasionally.
      Basically you are VERY tanky 95% of the time, and squishy 5% of the time. For me, I focused on being just regular tanky 100% of the time.
      Your point on CoTM does make sense, although for Arena pushing we are kiting most of the time, and not much damage makes it in if we play correctly. It does help a lot when a fast moving pack closes in and starts doing big damage, this happens fairly rarely. For echos I think you might be correct.
      Also found that prism wrap + orian's eye was a great combo, giving 30% effective DR to 4 out of 7 elements using that combo. And free leech. It does make reactive ward proc less though.

    • @Cheez_Official
      @Cheez_Official Před 27 dny

      @@FrozenSentinel Yeah, I do agree that my build would be very tanky most of the time but there is a window where I would be vulnerable and not as tanky, and requires some playaround. Also cooldown recovery speed would help as well, but I do not have enough gold for an upgrade.
      I could use some cooldown recovery on my teleport as well, and I would be able to cast it more frequently. It is much harder when enemies are more tanky, and ranged enemies are not dead during that time where you are vulnerable without teleport. The spamming can be situational too, where you spam it at some times, and not others depending on enemies.
      I did not really focus on making an arena version because it is too boring to fight through thousands of waves.

    • @FrozenSentinel
      @FrozenSentinel  Před 27 dny

      I think there is room for improvement still, but not sure if I will continue, it's just a lot slower than Ladle

    • @Hronman
      @Hronman Před 27 dny

      @@FrozenSentinel Yes. But for some ppl who is over 5k definitly will be usefull becouse of survival. It is probably few ppl, but anyway. Somthing diferent is always good to try.

    • @FrozenSentinel
      @FrozenSentinel  Před 27 dny

      Perhaps, I think the wrongwarp build is harder to play successfully but very high potential when done right.
      With ladle we have much higher cast speed, can kite a lot easier, can reposition much better with flame rush, much higher damage so stuff has less time to group up on us, and generally can stay safe playing at range.
      With wrongwarp you jump in with 1 second only of safety, then 1 second of a lot more danger. We usually have lower ward numbers during the down time, and often are in more dangerous position because of the wrongwarp teleport.

  • @Dartlin
    @Dartlin Před 27 dny

    Thats why that person doing like 5k monoliths uses wrongwarp lol i could just never get over the mobility hit but it seems crazy tanky

    • @FrozenSentinel
      @FrozenSentinel  Před 27 dny

      Hey Dartlin!
      To be clear, both builds will perform fine at 5000 corruption with good gear. The Wrongwarp guy himself even tried Ladle at 5.5k with less than optimal gear and confirmed that it is still totally fine. Even now, the top Mage Arena Leaderboard spots are still all with Ladle builds.
      Retribution has made a massive commitment to the corruption grind that not many other players have matched, and has been streaming a lot of this grind in recent weeks.
      The reason I'm not at 5000 with my Ladle is because of how much time commitment is required to get there. Even if I put a multi hour session in only focused on pushing corruption I might only get a couple hundred. Each shade kill unfortunately gives less than +50 corruption with 4 gaze stacks. The push is even slower with Wrongwarp since the DPS is much lower.
      As of right now I am not really sure which is better, both have their pros and cons.

    • @Cheez_Official
      @Cheez_Official Před 27 dny

      @@FrozenSentinel Agreed. Both are viable, and have a different playstyle. Wrongwarp has a higher potential with perfect play compared to mad alchemist ladle, but it is more punishing if not played right. With mad alchemist ladle, you can die if you do not flame rush to safety at high corruption.
