  • In this video I show you how I produce up to 2,500 gallons a day of spot free water with my new Spotless Water System. It is completely mobile, compact, and built to keep up with the heavy demands of a full time detailer. I refuse to pay another dime for expensive DI resin that will only last 300 gallons before needing to be replaced again. It’s boarder line thievery in my book. My entire set up is now run on spotless water from filling buckets of water, carpet extractor, chemicals, foam cannon, steamer, etc.. i have an endless supply of spot free water that is now cost effective to produce and I own the system. Absolutely game changing. Forget about renting a DI system it’s not accepted here. You own your business why wouldn’t you own your own spotless water system? Please like and subscribe. All credit for this video goes to my buddy Jerry. Thank you Jerry for the life long lessons you’ve learned and taught me.

    These systems are not cheap. It is not another DI tank. It’s a true “system” with multiple levels of filtration, a motor, pump, float switch, and so much more. It is by far the best option to boost your spotless water production and reduce your costs in the long run. My cost per gallon went from approx $0.65 to $0.01. Thanks for watching.

    That's absolutely nuts dude. I'm sorry, I'm terrible with math...but after your resin mod and the new system, you're going to get over 10,000 gallons of 0ppm water with the same amount of resin? Opposed to the 300 gallons you were getting before? Please correct me if I'm wrong here!

    • @SpotlessWaterGuy
      @SpotlessWaterGuy  Před 2 lety +22

      I know pretty mind blowing right? Here’s how I look at it and I could also be doing my math wrong :) I suck at math but I welcome anyone reading this to chime in and help out with the conversation. Follow me if you will… I was getting around 300 gallons of spot free water at approx. 400ppm. This morning I was able to reduce the ppm coming out of my RO down to 8ppm (since posting this video). 8 goes into 400 fifty times. 400/8=50. In other words I will get 50 times more life out of my resin from the drastic reduction in TDS. 50x300 gallons is 15,000 gallons of spot free water (theoretically). Now keep in mind the mod I did to the CR Spotless increased the DI resin yield by approx 40%. I still need to test this but if you take 15,000 gallons and now add 40% to that number we’re looking at 21,000 gallons of spot free water. That’s filling up my 100 gallon water tank 210 times with water at 0ppm before I ever have to change the resin again.

I just like when things look great and are functional at the same time. If your looking to do a system in your garage RODI is the way to go hands down. It’s by far the most economical (in the long run). Just like the Kranzle theirs an upfront cost with a heafty price tag but it’s an investment that should pay for itself in my first year. When you can squeeze 10,000+ gallons of spotless water out of 1 resin exchange its a no brainer. Thank you for watching! Fellow AZ detailer here. I live in Chandler and fortunately have the option of using the services of Purtek , a local company that provides pure water solutions to businesses via deionization systems of all sizes at a reasonable rates. When the resin becomes depleted, I call and they deliver a new tank and take the spent one.
    Thankfully, the tank I buy/rent yields right at 1400 gals before needing to be replaced. I'm not mobile so I've got room at my shop for a big heavy tank. Your system is genius and is definitely a game changer. I can't wait to watch your sales take off as the system becomes known across the industry.
    I assume you plan to market it to detailers and window washers.

    Just found your video. Super system! I have just purchased a CR Spotless system for home use to wash my new C8 Corvette. I live in Las Vegas, and I know our water source (the Colorado River via Lake Mead) has to be at least as bad as your unfiltered/DI water in AZ. We will see, once I get the system, how long the original CR Spotless lasts for me without all the pre -filtration and RO system to act as a feed to the CR Spotless. I don't know how often I am going to be washing my car, as I don't plan on using it as a daily driver, plus is has a clear bra and ceramic coating, but if the CR Spotless degrades too quickly, I'll certainly give some consideration to using at least part of the system you've developed here. Many thanks for posting your awesome water processing plant!

    Very Nice system. A thought for consideration, the RO section requires filter replacements due to removing TDS from 400 to 10. The membranes in the RO filter self flush to extend the replacement cycle . I have found when water is first run through a water softner the RO membrane can handle those TDS much better. this further extends the cycle time to replace filters, specifically the RO membrane (maybe doubles the filter life). Just a thought. Thanks for sharing all your efforts !

      Awesome! Yeah I wanted to be able to make water wherever I went. Dude I have been loving that thing at the end of my pressure washer gun. After I finish testing it in different applications I’ll get a video up. Having the extra reach behind wheels and tires has been pretty awesome. The biggest advantage which may sound like the silliest is how much easier it is to change out the foam cannon and other fittings. More to come!

    Buy a spin down filter, it's a reusable filtration and generally is used to pull down heavy metals and solids...keeps the filters less restricted from visible foreign objects. It's about the same size of your pre filters you got

    replace the 10" filters with 20" filters, they last longer. A water softener would probably help your RO membranes last longer (maybe make a setup at garage to recharge resin?)

    What a great set up ! Whats you PPM right after your sediment and carbon filter ? Im looking to build a system. I'm lucky to have 60 PPM here at my house. I was wondering if adding just the filter and no RO system would bring me down to about 10 PPM. Thanks

    I am a pressure washer and I also am cleaning windows and solar panels ! I am gonna build something like this to my trailer to run to my water fed pole ! There is also the Xero Pure system with two 40” RO membranes on a little dollie with di and carbon filters with it . But I like your design

    • @SpotlessWaterGuy
      @SpotlessWaterGuy  Před 2 lety

      Hey 524, thanks for commenting! I’ve looked at Xero Pure it seems like a great option if someone doesn’t mind the slow water production. Without a pump it’s only going to produce around 1 gallon per minute. It would take an hour to fill up a 65 gallon water tank with that system. I think that’s why it’s marketed towards window/solar panel cleaners. If I started to run low on water while I was out on a job I wanted to be able to fill up my water tank quickly. My system doubles the water production in comparison to the Xero Pure. It produces 2.1 gallons per minute taking around 30 min to fill up a 65 gallon water tank. It’s all relative but I wanted faster water production haha. My Kranzle pressure washer takes 2.1 gallons per minute so the output of my system could keep up with demand. Curious if you use DI water when pressure washing or just for window cleaning / solar panel cleaning?

    The 100 PPM drop off just simple pre filters would help a lot of people who are in lower PPM cities even w out the RO. Sediment and Carbon block filters are super cheap and easy to plumb. Could mount to a dolly w the resin for hand mobile use. Not sure if the large RO would work vertical on a dolly in a simple No tank storage way.

    • @SpotlessWaterGuy
      @SpotlessWaterGuy  Před rokem +1

      Thanks for watching! I wanted to clarify some parts of your comment, a lot of people may read this then go out and buy a bunch of pre filters which will not do anything to reduce TDS. A common misconception is that sediment and carbon filters reduce TDS or PPM. This is in not true. Sediment and carbon filters can't remove or reduce TDS levels in water. They are merely there to remove suspended solids and in my case remove chlorine out of the water because RO has a zero tolerance for chlorine. These pre filters simply protect the RO from fouling prematurely. The only thing that can remove TDS is RO, DI resin or distillation. You can add as many pre filters as you want it unfortunately will do nothing to prolong the life of your DI resin. To help answer your other question. The RO can indeed be mounted vertically without any differences in performance.
