Agreed, it is very "difficult it is to record video and speak in a non-native language". Here is an example of a guy doing the same but this time he is an American speaking Bulgarian: czcams.com/video/LIXiQRdk0ms/video.html

Heads-up... The BG Driver's License is pretty tough to earn. I did. Many say it is the equivalent of taking a college level course for many.

If you need building work done and a Bulgarian says " I am a Miester"? Laugh and walk away! Never use a Property Company, use a Bulgarian friend or knowledgeable ex pat.. You will get grossly overcharged! Bulgarians believe all Brit's are wealthy and try to extract as much cash out out you that they can. Never pay up front for work to be done! Pay once it is done. especially to your satisfaction!

A long stay or residence permit is probably all you will need. Long stays are issued for 1 year. After your 5th long stay, upon application, you will be issued with a 5 year permit. With a long stay you can buy a car, register a car, start working, get a tax number and start a company. No need to go any further. You may need to speak fluent Bulgarian for citizenship.

If I understand you properly, please excuse me if I'm completely off, you are a UK national living permanently in the EU? If that's the case, you'll have to follow the procedure as a UK citizen. What would be easier for you is to travel there until you move there.

@@nibbletouch7566 As a Brit, I find it really snobby that Brits never refer to themselves as immigrants. "Ex-pat" just means you are outside your own country. An immigrant is someone who accepts being a foreigner in another country as their home. Brits don't seem to like accepting themselves as foreigners anywhere!

@@AlisonWonderland999 fair enough. Having checked the dictionary, I just can't get to the bottom of the problem of either word. I have never referred to myself as an expat or immigrant and I'm not fussed by it, I couldn't care less if people refer to me as either. I identify as an earthling.
