  • Min Ho Choi is a retired South Korean judoka, who competed in -60 kg weight category. Choi is 2003 World Champion and 2008 Olympic gold medalist. He also holds World and Olympic bronze medals. Choi is known for his energetic and tenacious offensive style of Judo, he is also attributed as being the inventor of Korean Seoi Nage (A.K.A Reverse Seoi Nage) throw. On his best days he was unstoppable machine of tenacious Judo.

    Him sobbing after winning gold in 2008 will always be the memory of that Olympics for me. He was on fire that tournament. If I remember correctly, he threw everyone for ippon on way to the gold.

    There are some judoka from back in the day that I look at and think, "they wouldn't do too well against the competition today". But, Choi was way ahead of his generation.

      실제로 그당시 66국대였던 조준호 가오리뒤집기로 이겼었는데
      국제대회경험이 원래66체급이던 조준호선수보다 적어서 포인트때문에 못나갔어요

      It was an exhibition match on some Korean TV show, if I'm not mistaken his opponent is 2012 Olympic games bronze medalist Cho Jun-ho.

      @@GrapplerKingdom He is twin brother of Cho Jun-ho, to be exact. Even many korean can't tell them apart well :). His name is Cho Jun-hyun and his judo technic is almost same as his brother.

      It was korean judo era back in mid 2010 and also the best era of judo where there were more styles and grabs. These days judo restrict so many grabs which it became so boring
