The Xbox 360 was probably the most influential console of the 7th gen.
wales2k not probably, it definitely was. In my opinion it will be the best console of all time. Sure it’s a dated compared to what we have available to us now, but it gave us memories we’ll never forget. From starting up the console for the first time, to playing your first game on it, go getting your buddies from school to hop on and play cod or Minecraft after school on a Friday night, to getting the red ring of death and you were convinced that this was it, this was the end of the console. But it was a tough one, and it pulled through. God I miss my 360, and I really regret selling it.

Hell, my first console when I was 5 was a 360. My fondest memories of that time was playing Lego Star Wars: TCS with my dad. The 360 might not be the best console, imo, but it's certainly the most nostalgic

I cried manly tears listening to this again. I miss the days when I was in middle school playing online with my friends for the first time. I was 12 years old when my father surprised me with a gold gift card back when they were still made out of cardboard. I played with my friends every day after school until my parents told me to go to bed. I remember all of the Halo 3 custom games we used to play and co-op fable 2 with my best friend. I will always keep this song with me. Thank you very much for posting this beautiful memory.

This one time the morning after a sleepover where we stayed up really late when I was twelve, me, my brothers and two of our friends were playing around with the Avatars on my older brother's new XBox 360 that he got for his birthday; and you know how the different gestures the Avatars make are all randomized, right?
Well, one of our friends asked the Avatar what it thought about all of us staying up till 2am drinking soda, playing on the XBox 360 and running around the house like crazy people the night before.

We didn’t arrive here by mere chance my friends, we came to reminisce with our past. I wish everyone could have experienced the 360 days.
Nothing for me gaming wise will be as cool as these 360 days. So many great games, the dashboards were so cool, and being able to make an avatar and include them in some games was amazing. I’ll forever miss those Red Dead Redemption, Gears of War 3, & Black Ops one days with all my old 360 friends who don’t get on anymore
I legit cried hearing this a few years back on the Xbox One.....because it not only made me remember how fun games used to be, but how I was actually HAPPY with life in general.
NOTHING could get in the way of getting home after work and hopping online with your friends and just jamming out some good games and having a good time.

I remember when in 2010 my dad traded a TV for this console, I played with him as much as I could, sometimes I saw him play and have thousands of achievements, sometimes we edit our avatars and made them as similar as possible to us... Now in my 20s I still play on this console with my younger brother, seeing him also enjoy it as I did in those years makes me happy and makes me feel grateful that a console like this filled me with so many beautiful memories.
Today I hope to go home in the next weekend and play some games with my dad and little brother again :)

as I was listening to this and thinking about how much has changed in my life since I regularly heard this song, I remembered a little detail: in one of the minigames in kinect party, my cats kept getting "frozen" for a long time while sitting on the couch and then when they moved a little the ice would dramatically shatter. they've been dead for ten years now, but I hope I never forget Gizmo and Tipper.
December 25, 2012. I was 5 years old when I got my 360. The greatest console I’ve ever had the pleasure of playing on. I had no Xbox live gold, but I didn’t need it. Playing skate 3 and NBA 2k11 was amazing. My best friend had an Xbox one at the time, so you would expect me to be jealous, but I couldn’t have cared less. In 2017, I got an Xbox One S. On that amazing, yet fateful, day me and my dad went to GameStop and traded in my Xbox 360. I will never forget this console. Thank you Xbox 360 and I’m sorry I never noticed how lucky I was.

The amount of time i used to spend only in the avatar editor ... to download and play demos bc with 10 yrs I didn't really know how to buy stuff online ... GTA 4 ... Forza Motorsport 4 ... The amount I'd pay to just travel back in time when everything was simpler, I had nothing to worry about. Came home from school on a rainy day and just played for hours. God they don’t make game systems like this anymore. Being a kid was the best years of my life. And I was in the right generation.

I have a memory of a snow day where my friend and I didn't have school, we went sledding, had some fun outside, then came back inside and spent like an hour customizing our avatars and that was the first time I heard this music.
i was 13 since 2 weeks, i had lost any hope of getting any gift since some days before. My mom took me out, we drived a long while since we got to an nice small house far from where we lived, an tall man sold us the xbox 360. I was excited, nervous and a little afraid of the xbox breaking before we got home. I remember that some people were at home as it were january, i played the ammount of games this console had, an demo of dead space 3, original wolfenstein, banjo kazooie and not much more, maybe cod ghosts or tomb rider. I got along with excitement till the 4 am showed, then since the 12 am until i had to come down, i didn't had so many friends, but this console made me ignore a lot as i grow, focus on the nice things like an nice console that my mother wanted me to have, is an welcoming remember i get sometimes, now that i listen to this, i remember the first turn on "beep" that this friend of mine said during years, i should fix it.

I came here because the Xbox 360 stores were announced to not be supported on July 29th of 2024 just a few hours ago (I got the message on my Series S). This came to mind, as I’d hear the avatar music a lot. I never bought a lot of stuff for mine. But I never got tired of watching my avatar use a bunch of toy props and do sick parkour and magic stuff.
It’s crazy how this feels nostalgic. But. Here’s to the 360. Starting to head on out before I even realized it… good times
