I just recently got into slingshots... Love to watch you making a slingshot from a tree fork... I recently cut a few from a beech tree and oak tree on my property... I read that you should let the forks dry for about a year... not sure I can wait that long !
Those ricochets were SCARY... I think I would have started him with clay ammo, and maybe paper plates... I setup a range in my basement where I have a 42' airgun range with a shower curtain for a back stop... I hang the paper plate from the curtain rod and use two elastic straps with small steel binder clips on each side of the plate to keep it stable... pretty easy to see where the shots are going, as long as I can hit the plate... HAH !
I'm not familiar with that type of blade in your hacksaw that you used on the fork band-tie grooves ?

Haha thanks for the comment, I’m not sure what the blade it’s self is called but it’s circular and kinda like a thin rasp, living in Hawaii.

I did do a search on "round hacksaw blade" and found it... I do have a few different size round files handy, but always looking for new tools to add to my estate... HAH !

@@StephanusDeStephanis A vice definitely helps but you can do it without. You can buy a small cheap one, that’s what I started with.

@@StephanusDeStephanis Im not sure what wood you have in your location but any hardwood or tree that grows a fruit or nut is pretty good. Anything that’s a good shape and at least as thick as your thumb should be fine.
It looks like he's tweaking the pouch that might be what's throwing his shot off
Was mir aufgefallen ist bei deinem Freund ist, das er die Pouch nicht grade zwischen den Fingern hat, sondern er drückt diese mit seinem Daumen nach unten.
